So I thought I'd remembered seeing somewhere that Inquisitions are available to anyone worshiping a deity with that same subdomain. I.E. The Chivalry inquisition being available to a god with the Chivalry subdomain. As this would be for PFS, I'd need an official source.

Was I misremembering?

So, I've been looking to give a Huge size creature the Sky Swim spell- however, it has a target limitation of a Large creature or smaller. If the Huge animal was reduced in size by Reduce Animal prior to Sky Swim being cast, then Reduce being dismissed? Does it become a Huge creature with Sky Swim, or does the spell cease to function?

I'm asking in regards to PFS specifically. I'm not aware of any rules on how this would work.

I just got a Vishkanya racial boon, and they have the Poison Use racial trait, functionally identical to the Poison Use class feature.. can they purchase/use poisons?

Also, have there been any official rulings on the ability to use an animal companion's venom on your own weapons?

I've done a few forum searches and it just seems to be a matter of question.. one post mentioned that "PFS banned it" but I haven't found any evidence of that.

Is there an official ruling/banning somewhere as to whether or not you can buy properties such as Keen for your Blackblade? Thanks in advance!

Do Spellstrike Gloves (UE page 239) allow the use of spells such as Slow through the ranged spellstrike ability a myrmidarch gains? Per the wording, I'm guessing no, but it seems a little odd that it wouldn't be.

On a related note, if I applied Reach Spell to Slow and used it with Spellstrike Gloves, would it count as a ranged touch for a myrmidarch?

I've been doing the whole 'get a character concept, must build it' thing again recently, so I've got some questions to make sure I know what I'm doing!

1. Does a Myrmidarch in fact only get to use ranged touch spells through his ranged spellstrike? That limits you to Ray of Enfeeblement, Acid Arrow, and Scorching Ray early on..

2. Is there any reason why a Blackblade couldn't be an Axe Musket?

3. How exactly does frostbite or chill touch work? Does it remain on your spell list for X uses like a cantrip, or do you hold multiple charges? With one casting during a spellstrike spell combat, could you potentially hit 2 or more times with it?

Hi all! My PFS-legal rogue, found here will be hitting second level soon, at which point he'll be joining an IRL module (Masks of the Living God). I'm building him combat-suboptimal, noncombat-optimal, as most PFS characters, myself included, focus more on the slashing and less on the talking.

As a Kitsune, with Realistic Likeness, he can transform into anyone, anytime, that he has ever seen, allowing all sorts of stunts. With Kitsune Trickster, he adds his Int mod to several skills as well, but I'm not set on progressing rogue for long. I'm open on the best ways to make him widely useful in non-combat games, which is all I will be playing him in. Urban intrigue games. So here's what I've been considering:

Bard:
Base bard is useful with Bardic Knowledge, but for the most part overshadowed by the Detective and Street performer archtypes. Detective gives the party bonuses to perception, stealth, and disable device, plus adding 1/2 level to Local, Perception, Sense Motive, and Diplomacy to Gather Information, not to mention the level 2 Uber Trapfinding. Street Performer gives me some combat use by making my party members vanish for sneak attacks and such, doubling Day Job payoffs, and adding 1/2 level to Bluff, Disguise (already quite high enough, thanks!), Local, Sleight Of Hand (been picking spell component pouches off casters) and Diplomacy/Intimidate on crowds. Both very, very useful archetypes and I can probably find enough spells that benefit me.

Alchemist:
Definately Mindchemist archetype, hands down. Cognatagens for +4 Int, which benefit pretty much every skill I use, adding Int mod a second time to all Knowledge checks, and Skill Focus in several important skills in place of a Discovery, most of which affect bombs and are therefore not so important to me. Please don't suggest Vestigial Arm cheese either. ;D With 4+Int mod skill ranks per level, Skill Focus (Alchemy) and some handy extracts like Jump, Reduce Person (I'm Tiny now, good luck finding me!) and Comprehend Languages, it's another extremely strong choice.

Sorceror:
Mainly the Rakhasha bloodline appeals- +5 Bluff, ability to read thoughts, and having access to the spells listed above plus the enchantment school (+1 DC) and other useful ones. This was what I'd originally been thinking about, but looking into Bard and Alchemist made me wonder about them as options instead.

Rogue/Ranger:
Take another level of rogue for Terrain Mastery, then the Warden archetype of ranger. Level 3 ECL, I'll have a +6 Urban if I take Extra Rogue Talent, +4 if not. Level 5, potentially +10. Take Horizon Walker, and dear lord I'll have an absurd Stealth, Perception, Geography, Initiative, and Survival in Urban Terrains- and I plan to do all of my games in urban adventures.

Anyone have any thoughts, suggestions on what I should do? I'm still 1st level, so I can retrain as well if needed.

I'm running my own Runelords game on Tuesday night, which is well and good.. but I'd like to play as well. Wednesday or Thursdays are my best days, anyone running/starting anything soon in the general area?

Hello all. I'm looking to make a full spellcaster for PFS and I was considering a wizard or druid. The wizard, I was thinking a Thassilonian Specialisist in Conjuration, the wizard a (predominantly) melee character. Since most of my games are online and take from 3 weeks to 3 months to complete, I'd rather have something that's viable at 1st/2nd level.

Has anyone got advice on this?

I'm finding myself needing to make another character or two or three for PFS, and looking at the Wolf Domain really set me down a path to begin with. Is there any way to A) Have a wolf animal companion at full druid level (I know boon companion is around) and B) Be close to a wolf yourself? I've considered a half-orc for the built in bite attack, but I can't find anything that would allow me to use the trip special ability. In place of attacks, yes, but not in addition to.. except for a synthesist summoner. Those just really scream cheese to me though. :(

So what kind of things can you guys think of for a wolf-themed character?

EDIT: Oh, I know that Beast Shape II/6th-level Wild Shape would let you get trip built in, but I doubt I'm going to be reaching 6th level, so I'd prefer something sooner if possible.

A play by post ad just popped up on Myth-weavers, accepting level 12 characters from any source in the SRD. I thought, hey, maybe I'd finally get to put my Psionics Unleashed book to use!

Can't decide what I'd like to play at the moment, though. I'm considering Psion Shapers or Egoists, since summoning and metamorph could be fun, as well as a Wilder, possibly Leader surge. Anyone have any advice/experience/opinions on Psions or Wilders in general?

Hi all. I'm looking to join a PF game over on Myth-Weavers, with a starting level of 5 and a 32-point (yeah, seriously) buy. I think, HEY, 32 points sounds great for such a MAD class as a monk. So I start thinking about it, trips and grapples and all.

And it turns into me looking at the Spinning Throw feat in UC. It really seems to be a lot of what I want in a monk, but there's no way to get it at level 5 from it's excessive feat chain.

Mainly, I'm looking for something that uses combat manuevers, particurarly trip, disarm, and/or bull rush. I like to play a more Controlller role than Striker, to borrow from 4E. What kind of feats, magic items, and such might be of use?

I'm also looking at the Brawler fighter, who CAN get Spinning Throw by 5th, but not -quite- it's partner in crime, Vicious Stomp. Also the Master of Many Styles, using either Dragon/Djinni or Snake/???.. yeah, I have a lot of ideas. Just generally looking for help on what good options are.
