Do we have a minimap? Are we missing any doors other than the one we just discovered? Cautiously entering the room, Uldir sniffs the air and looks around warily. Perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 Not seeing anything, he nods his head towards the far door and advances towards it.

Bummer, waste of a good roll. Onward then! After a quick check turns up nothing of interest the boar gives a small grunt and leaves the room. "Nothing of note, time to move on?" he whispers, before moving the flank the door once Arianna waves them over.

No worries, I'd assumed they weren't flat-footed until Kendran pointed it out AoO (Power Attack): 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 4 - 1 = 13 Tusk: 1d8 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Uldir bulls into the room, juking right in order to hem in the lizards and give his allies space to get in. Unfortunately, he's still a little rusty in his new form and isn't as graceful as he'd like, exposing himself to attack from the other. Jyoldukir's presence surges as the dwarf-turned-elemental ducks its head and tries to gut the lizard with gleaming ruby tusks. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10
I do provoke an AoO with that move, since I doubt the lizards CMD is 10 :p

I know it's a ways from my turn but...
Ready Action to attack with tusks if the door is opened.

Doesn't help with that roll, but in this form Uldir has Dex14 so +2 Initiative

"I think that wise," Uldir murmurs from his self-appointed post. "I suspect they won't awaken anytime soon, so they won't be able to raise any alarm that we wont be setting off ourselves when we push forward." Carefully stepping towards the door to the next room, the stony boar presses an ear up against the (wood?). Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13

No worries Alfred, it's good rollplay! If a boar could look sheepish, Uldir/Jyoldukir would. "I'm also not able to manipulate rope in this form...I'll, ehm, keep a lookout then." Carefully stepping out into the entry room, the stony boar plants itself by the door. As Alfred says his piece, the boar shifts its head slightly to face him and whispers, "War makes grim demands of us all, friend, we know. You seem like someone who's spent time on the front. Be assured, traitors and fiends and can expect no quarter from us, but we will not be party to executing sleeping mortals--who, if Lann's chieftain is to be believed, have only recently allied with Baphomet's cult. It may be that they have been blackmailed or compelled with magic...and if not, then the headsman will have his day. But we will not countenance adopting the Enemy's tactics, for that way lies only ruin."

Uldir will shift his now-considerable bulk to block the doorway. "Keep your voice down. We're going to take them prisoner, guard the door to the next room or something." Having reread the Coup de Grace rules I think it's just an auto-crit while ignoring the save-or-die, so I'll proceed with that assumption. Throwing a wary look at Alfred, the boar carefully picks its way towards the nearest sleeping mongreman, checking to ensure that Ari (and/or others) are doing the same. Assuming they are... "Three...two...one...now! he whispers before unceremoniously kicking the sleeping figure in the head. Knockout: 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 = 14

"Why risk that when they're already asleep? Anyone have rope? Wake them with a blade at their throats, truss them up, and drag them out into the tunnel a ways. Ari, you're the stealthiest of us, could you check the next room so we're not rudely interrupted? I'll back you up if you want." |
