Hey guys, just want to say I hope you're all doing well. Be safe and stay healthy!

Hey guys, sorry for they delay of response. The hospital got crazy busy as the stepped up response to Covid-19 rolled out. GM- you were right, the response was done in part to Adrien's statement. However I think it's in character for Triss to overreact and do something drastic (given the circumstances). Frankly I wasn't sure myself what I expected when choosing to divine plea and active the blade, so I'm cool with however you want this to play out. I think Triss at this point just wants to throw a wrench in the ritual any way she can.

"There must be some way to interrupt his incantaions!" Triss shouts before shooting her attention to her friends.

"Refresh!" Triss casts Healing Word on Grellick. Bonus action. Healing word: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

She then draws her sword and raises it high. Action. Attempting to draw lightning toward her from where ever she can, hoping that it will neutralize the acid/earth Amberglow is channeling.

Divine plea: 1d100 + 10 ⇒ (82) + 10 = 92 "Eilistraee, Hear my plea! I offer my soul! Just don't let them take another of my family!"

"Hells, Adrien.." Trissae thinks to herself as she assess the situation.

"Grellick you are the torch that lights our way! Use the stone!" She shouts as she quickly draws the bow and notches a teleportation arrow.

"Adrien! Drinks and wenches are on me if we make it through this!" She smirks Before firing an arrow at Frostheight in the water bubble and holding her breath.
Bardic inspiration on Adrien (0/4)

Shoot him!: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16

If the shot strikes true:
Trissae will call out the magical word and teleport into the bubble, hopefully carrying some of the momentum of the shot and (using her movement) attempt to swim through and assist Frostheight in swimming his way out of the water.

Shot wide!:
If the shot goes wide, she'll wait to see where the arrow lands to decide what action she'll take. If it's somewhere relatively safe and she can reach the bubble, she'll teleport and make her way there, driving the bow into the water as deep as she can to give Frostheight to grab onto.

Trissae twirls with a sharp spin inside to avoid the wall, however the sudden slickness of the ground catches her footing and she slides safely but ungracefully forward. 15 damage

"Thug!" She shouts in anger as she glares at Amberglow.

Sliding away the lyre, Trissae flicks her wrists in the air and weaves arcane letters above her head. Uttering arcana beneath her breath she then sings out, "♪ You say all things pass, in-to the night! And I say, Oh no sir, I must say you're wrong..♪"
As a ring of mystical energy whips out and slams against the ice wall. Casting Dispel Magic(0/3)4th on the wall.

If the wall dispels:
Trissae then calls out to Grellik, "Grellik, do our host a favor and show him the Bogshark smile!" She says with a smirk, then darts behind the altar where the bowl is.

Using Bardic Inspiration (1/4) on Grellik then moving to n11

If the wall was not dispelled:
She hesitates for a moment, then continues, "♪I must disagree, oh no sir, I must say you're wrong"
Won't you listen to me...♪"
Then she darts toward the bowl drawing her sword.
She attempts to move to n9

Trissae grits her teeth, she's uncertain if Brundon/Amberglow has somehow discovered Adrien. She had planned to ambush Frostheight at the bottom of the stairs, sensing he would betray them, but now she had neither the time nor patience to spare.

With haste she ran into the large cellar room with arcane runes and magical glow. Upon not seeing Adrien immediately she breathed a sigh of relief to herself and then addressed Amberglow.

"Look no further Fiend!" She Said with a hiss, her eyes dart to meet his.

Rereading through for healing pots, you made mention that you believe Kindness provided us some. I don't find (so far) a place where we used the spares, but I also failed to make not of it on my sheets. If it's fair to you Grey can we assume we may have 1 or 2 to share with Ozz?

---As they make their way down the stairs---

Trissae utters a whimsical verse, a prayer perhaps?, a musical moral boost?, her intent becomes clear as she gestures rhythmically with her hands and then with her index finger "boops" Adrien upon the nose. In an instant he falls completely invisible, gear and all.

"You are as invisible as the wind, use it to your advantage." She says in a whisper with a smile.

Casting Greater Invisibility 4th(1/3) on Adrien.

Adrien, this might change your attack setup since I believe attacking while invisible grants advantage? and Greater Invisibility doesn't break on attack like the other variant.

Trissae's gaze fixed on the revealed Frostheight. Without breaking that gaze she addressed first Adrien then Grellick.

"Whatever you need from me, I got your back." She responds to Adrien with a pat of her lyre. "Before we enter, hold up, I have an enchantment to put on you to help out." She continued with a smirk.

After Grellick replies her smirk turns to a scowl. "Well enough, though clearly it ended too soon. Speaking of advantages, all of you - don't forget the gift Feng gave you.. don't let it go to waste, we'll likely need it here." Triss finally breaks her gaze and Nods to the crew, then strides forward to accompany Adrien's lead.

Trissae lowers her hand to allow Farlyse an unobstructed path into the room. She is silent and tense as she glances first from Adrien then over to Grellik. With her other hand she draws the lyre, and then plucks a chord.

Trissae strode into the room to a halt. She flicked her arm up to hold Farlyse back as she surveys the scene. "Sapphire.." Slips between Triss's teeth as she glared at the wispy shadow lingering over her friends.

Trissae's side glance noticed Ozz and Marr against the wall. "Ozz! let the conjurer go - we may need his help to deal with... this..." She said in a rushed whisper, fearful of stirring the spirit.

Trissae's hand drops as Farlyse stands, and she wipes a hand through her own hair to move the wet matted bang out of her eyes. She watches Farlyse's reaction slightly amused.

Triss's eyeroll is so overdone Silvers might be able to hear it from this distance as Farlyse makes her declaration...

"Love, if this is all a spell then you'd be in far more trouble than simply being nibbled on by a dinosaur. No, I'm not in control of any of this, so you can help me- help her-, or stay the F*^# out of my way. We have to stop Brundon." Trissae says matter-of-factually to Vandeross, before whipping her hair back into a ponytail and then turning to head back into the mansion.

Going to take some narrative liberty, feel free to amend as necessary

Trissae-rex tilted and growled in a low rumble as Ozz attacked her prey, she would not put up with another Hunter touching her catch. However she is interrupted by her snack's squirming and stinging with her sword. Thuroughly angered, T-Rex lifted Farlyse to height, then stomped away back outside into the courtyard, rolling Farlyse with her tongue for a better grip.

As Trissae-rex carried Farlyse she whipped the woman vigourously back and forth, the dino was annoyed by the hard metal shell that protected the fleshy bits and wanted to throttle free the sharpness out of the woman's hands.

Enraged that, though disoriented, the mighty woman's grip remained firm on the blade the T-Rex whipped the woman about then brutally into the ground at it's feet.

Feeling the overwhelming beastial rage mounting Trissae panics to regain control of herself, her monstorous form preparing to smash the armored woman underneath it's massive foot to make a jelly of her. As the foot falls to crush Farlyse, only the light clap of an elven foot is heard, Triss only barley dropping the polymorph in time.

Trissae stood panting from the exhilaration and looked down at Farlyse with grim resolve, then held out a hand.

"The Man on the wall taught me mercy, but I still have to work on forgiveness..."

Huge creatures have a massive lift/carry and because a T-Rex is huge it can carry medium creatures at normal speed. I'll leave it to you how you want to handle Triss throwing Farlyse into the ground.

TyrannoTriss scrapes at the siding of the building for a moment, the primal urge to ravage the building not a far off thought. A crack of lightning overhead annoyed her beastial senses and she turned her head to roar defiantly at the sky but it was cut short.

speaking strategically, I think Triss put herself in a bind here. If I follow the wording on Polymorph, She's not Trissae- in dino form, she's a T-rex with Trissae's alignment and personality, only her game stat's including mental ones are set to the creature's so that's a 2 int...

I did read a dev commentary that confirmed that a spell caster using polymorph to change them self can and do maintain concentration for the spell. It's tad difficult not meta-ing too much being the T-rex and just doing like the smart thing lol.

Then with a quick move she draws the lyre and with another quick flick of her wrist she strums an arcane tune. Gouts of magical smoke envelope Trissae as she her silhouette is seen dancing and gesturing through the smoky vail lit by magical dancing light. With a pulsing boom the last chord on the lyre is struck and the tone holds for several seconds and soon friend and foe alike hear the low rumble of the tone shift, sounding increasingly like the roar of some incredible beast.

Exploding from the smoke is the form of a gigantic beast of immense size, it's roar momentarily drowning out the storm. Only the spider webbed scar, and silver feathered frill gives a clue to what has happened... Trissae is this enormous beast.

Unless something specific happens, like what Ozz did, Triss will continue on her original course. She'll bolster Grellik if he's in range with bardic inspiration.... also don't forget Ozz had a 1d8 to use for either his attack, or his skill checks.

HD 1: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
HD 2: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
HD 3: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
3 spent, back to 53

Trissae nodded to Ozz and wrestled free the bow, and instead of mulling about with the arrows she instead tossed the whole quiver with the bow toward him. After she instructed him on the magic phrase to use them.

"Give'it to em' big guy!" Bardic Inspiration as a bonus? on Ozz. She'll continue her plan afterward.

Triss will continue running, attempting to find an opening between mobs toward the gate, then when she's 1 (move) round from the gate she'll stop

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14

"For the SHARKS!!!!" Trissae uses her prodigious singing voice to belt out this roar, leaning forward in an aggressive gesture.

Afterward she tosses the ruby up and catches it tight before calling out to Grellick, "Captain, here..." She then tosses the ruby over to him, "Something tells me I'm not going to have a chance to use it this battle, and if you're stuck dancing with a fire elemental, you better have something to help out." She chuckles, then turns and runs to catch up with Ozz

Dashing to keep pace with Ozz

"Ozz! Crack'em in the head!" Bardic Inspiration on Ozz as a bonus action

Sorry, I was going to post this morning but CenturyLink was down (I prefer to make main posts on the compy because editing/formatting on the phone is a nightmare)

I'll get one up asap!

Late to this party but I'll add my two cents:

I liked how the storming the citadel went, with lots of it being narrative, But I do feel like the battlemap would allow for people's particular specialties to show through better mechanically...

That said, I'm just excited on general now that I'm back to being able to post a little more regularly. So whatever you choose will be the right answer regardless :)

Trissae listens in from the side, staring forward. She ponders to herself how many innocent lives are lost to this storm, and how many more before it breaks.

She tilts her head without breaking her gaze, listening for Grellick's response. Tightly gripped between her thumb and forefinger is the ruby given to her from Feng, which she nervously thumbs over.
