Congratulations to all those selected! I might try to create a Discord server for this group at a later date, given the notorious finicky nature of the Paizo messageboards, but for now, this will serve as our discussion area.

Greetings to all.

A few years back, I attempted to run a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign on the boards here - due to my inexperience with the PbP style, it went... poorly, to say the least, not helped by the fact that I lost the book itself. However, now that I have a bit more experience, I would like to try and run Rise of the Runelords for a group of players - I was recently gifted the Anniversary Edition, and I hope that this run goes smoother than my previous attempt. Depending on whether I succeed in this campaign or not, I may try to expand on the boards to run further campaigns.

Recruitment will run through the 27th, at which time I'll hopefully select four to six players.

Rules:
25-point buy (I know it's unusually large, but from what I can see, RotRL is a bit of a meat-grinder)
Average starting wealth
Maximum HP at first level
Core Races, Aaismar, Changeling, Ifrit, Oread, Sylph, Tiefling, Undine are allowed. I am amenable to other options on a case-by-case basis.
All base classes are allowed, with the exception of Gunslingers other than the Bolt Ace. Unchained versions of applicable classes (Rogue, Summoner, Barbarian, Monk) are in use, but gun-based archetypes for any class are disallowed.
3 traits, with a relevant drawback available for 4, but one must be a campaign trait from the Rise of the Runelords list at AoN
Elephant in the Room
Background Skills
Automatic Bonus Progression
Milestone Leveling

Characters:
Ideally, I'd like to focus this campaign on role-playing and getting to know the characters. Included below is a short questionnaire from a recruitment I applied for some months ago - since then, I've often found it useful when making up characters of my own. While this is not required, I would at least like something for a background, as well as an RP sample if you would like to provide one - I will be taking it into consideration when making decisions, likely even more so than stat blocks.

Twenty Questions:
What is your character's name?
How old is your character?
What would somebody see at first glance (i.e. height, weight, skin color, eye color, hair color, physique, race, and visible equipment)?
What additional attributes would be noticed upon meeting the character (i.e. Speech, mannerisms)?
Where was your character born?
Where were you raised?
By who?
Who are your parents?
Are they alive?
What do they do for a living?
Do you have any other family or friends?
What is your character's marital status?
Kids?
What is your character's alignment?
What is your character's moral code?
Does your character have goals?
Is your character religious?
What are your character's personal beliefs?
Does your character have any personality quirks (i.e. anti-social, arrogant, optimistic, paranoid)?
Why does your character adventure?
How does your character view his/her role as an adventurer?
Does your character have any distinguishing marks (birth-marks, scars, deformities)?
How does your character get along with others?
Is there anything that your character hates?
Is there anything that your character fears?

On a more metagame note, if there are any issues you would prefer we steer away from, please mention it or PM me if you don't feel comfortable discussing it out in the open - this is meant to be a form of entertainment and relaxation, after all, not a painful therapy session, and I'd like to make sure that everyone is able to enjoy it.

About Me:
I've been on the boards for close to three years now, and I've participated in a number of campaigns - I certainly hope my skills are up to snuff, though I admit to being an amateur PbP GM. I am a big fan of Pathfinder 1E, though I generally focus on roleplaying and character development over mechanics. I'll be the first to admit that cosmic horror is kind of my 'fallback' writing style, as anyone who glances through my posts in existing campaigns can see, so there's likely to be strong themes of it throughout, intentionally or not. I hope to finish the campaign, but if I leave, I will inform the players first.

Here's the discussion thread, if anyone's interested.

For decades, the crime lord Gaedren Lamm has tormented the people of Korvosa, complicit in crimes from pickpocketing to outright murder, but the crafty criminal has yet to face justice. However, his days are numbered, as several of his former victims are given an opportunity to end his threat.

During your daily routines, all five of you found a mysterious harrow card, bearing a cryptic message and a set of directions.

Marcus:

Your card is the Cricket, which generally symbolizes a swift passage or a serendipitous journey.

Lucian:

Your card is the Dance, which generally symbolizes gainful cooperation.

Ematti:

Your card is the Unicorn, which generally symbolizes the attainment of a long-sought goal.

Kane:

Your card is the Peacock, which generally symbolizes a personal shift, such as a changing allegiance.

Nicolai:

Your card is the Joke, which generally symbolizes a significant challenge overcome by cunning rather than force.

On the back of each card appears the following message: "I know what Gaedren has done to you. He has wronged me as well. I know where he dwells, yet cannot strike at him. Come to my home at 3 Lancet Street at sunset. Others like you will be there. Gaedren must face his fate, and justice must be done."

This will be the recruitment thread for a Curse of the Crimson Throne campaign I hope to run soon.
Any class/race will be allowed, and evil characters are discouraged for party cohesion reasons, though any character can be submitted for consideration.
25 available points for point-buy score generation.
Two background traits will be available, or three background traits and one flaw. One of these traits should be a campaign trait from Curse of the Crimson Throne, available here through AoN.
Any first-party source featured on Archives of Nethys is available.
The background skills variant rule will be available.
Submissions will be open until February 19th, at which time I will select five characters to form a party. If anyone has difficulty making this, I am more than happy to extend the recruitment period on request. Players should hopefully have at least a passing interest in roleplaying their character, and while I by no means expect a full biography, I would like at least a few sentences regarding how the character was wronged by the elderly crime lord Gaedren Lamm (details are available in the Player's Guide, linked HERE). Experience is not necessary, and new players are encouraged to apply.
I have a somewhat busy schedule, but will do my best to post at least once daily.

I'm fairly new to the forums, but I have a moderate amount of experience as a GM and a number of Adventure Paths "burning a hole in my pocket," and it seems like PF1E is still a popular system. If anyone's interested, I am prepared to run the Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, or Jade Regent APs, and while I hope to run all of them at some point, I'll probably start with whichever one seems to garner the most support. Parties will probably be comprised of five members, except if I'm running Rise of the Runelords, which will probably have six, as I understand that certain aspects of it can be quite lethal. Ideally, I'm looking for characters with reasonably large backstories and players who enjoy getting into their characters rather than boiler-plate PCs and "murderhobo" players, but the applications are open to all. Again, I don't know how these recruitment systems generally work, but I hope to decide on which AP to run by the 29th. If anything I do conflicts with the way these things are generally done, for instance if one week isn't enough time to do this kind of interest check, just let me know, whether by PM or posting it in the relevant forum itself, and I'll be happy to change anything that's problematic.
