Does a Brawler flurrying with Unarmed Strikes get full or half power attack damage on the extra attacks? I'd assumed full, but I'm second guessing myself and can't actually find anything saying the extra attacks aren't counted as 'off-hand', even if all made with a single weapon/limb, so now I'm leaning more towards half. And as a loosely related second question;
Let's take for example a falcata and a +3 str mod. With Vital Strike, you're rolling 1d8+3 (this is multiplied on a crit) + 1d8 (this isn't).
On a crit, what's the damage?
Well, more a king, really.
I'm not so up-to-speed with 2e full casting, beyond the received wisdom that it's been reigned in a lot from 1e. With that in mind, how could one go about magically creating their own nation?
Builds are great, but just spitball theorycrafting is good too, any suggestions of what feats, spells, items, whatever would come in handy?
Question is pretty much what it says.
Any thoughts?
I know there are the poster maps available, and some very cool dudes have done some digital work, but are there any battle maps/flip-mats available for actual tabletop play? If there aren't any AP specific ones available, has anyone found some easily repurposed generic flip-mats they would recomment?
Level 6, captain, not looking to multiclass but not zealously opposed to it either.
Solar Armour, obviously.
Multiweapon fighting small arms viable, or do I need to drop a couple of feats into long arms? How well can it work as mobile battlefield nuisance? What are the traps I'm most likely to stumble into?
I'm toying around with an idea for a swordlordy devoted muse.
Would the Devoted Muse archetype's deeds class feature advance the archetype's deeds, or just give vanilla deeds. I'm thinking the former due to the note of 'levels stack with other classes with the deeds ability', but wanted to double check I'm not getting the wrong end of the stick there.
Pretty much what it says on the tin.
They refuse. Apparently it's too late in the day for them to be able to leave a message with someone to sort out their screw-up. Because I've had to go around in circles for over half an hour through their automated phone system which is intentionally designed to drive people off the call before they get to speak to someone. And since I tell them that if they can't deliver it the next day, they won't be able to deliver it, they tell me they're just going to return it to sender then. So yeah, after that pretty poor experience, I'm done with it. I'd like my money back since you can't seem to actually get a preordered book to me until at least a couple of weeks after the release date. Cheers.
Quick couple of questions on how this feat works if you've got more than one casting class;
If you multiclass two arcane casting classes, is it based on total caster level, or just highest? If you multiclass Arcane + non-Arcane casting classes, is it based on your highest arcane casting class level, your total arcane casting class level, your highest caster level even if it isn't Arcane, or your total caster levels across all classes?
Quote: Parent Classes: Each one of the following classes lists two classes that it draws upon to form the basis of its theme. While a character can multiclass with these parent classes, this usually results in redundant abilities. Such abilities don't stack unless specified. So, I'm sure we're all familiar with this line from the Advanced Class Guide. I've seen it claimed by a few people on the forum that a multiclass gunslinger/swashbuckler wouldn't benefit from both Nimble dodge bonuses because of this line. But, is that true? The 'abilities don't stack' only calls out redundant abilities.
In the same vein, I've seen it claimed that a multiclass rogue/slayer wouldn't get the sneak attack from both, but since sneak attack is just 'add some dice to damage', and there's already a ruling that sneak attack from multiple classes stacks, would either actually be redundant and thus covered by this? And how about spellcasting for an arcanist/wizard?
For sake of simplicity, let's say I'm hitting with a regular longsword, +1 BAB, no strength bonus (I know the numbers aren't possible, but that's not important for hypotheticals). Standard MPA hit: 1d8+3
Standard MVS + MPA hit: 2d8+6 Now, with MPA, the damage that would normally be multiplied on a critical hit is double the non-critical damage bonus. 6 points in our hypothetical example.

Okay, so two closely related questions on Ultimate Combat's Performance Combat rules... The First
Performing Combatant allows you to treat any combat as a Performance Combat, to make use of your Performance Feats outside of the stage. Performance Feats give you bonuses if you take your Performance Combat checks as Swift actions, which is why you'd want to take the free action triggers as Swift action checks. Master Combat Performer allows you to take Performance Combat checks as a Free action. Does this mean that if you take a Performance Combat check as a Free action instead of a Swift action (or Free action instead of a Swift action instead of a Free action... you follow?), you don't get the benefit of any Performance Feat?
The Second
Couldn't find if it has come up before, but...
For Feats, are you treated as having the higher ability score, but if your non-shifted stat doesn't mean the feat pre-req, you can only use it in your shifted form, or can't you take it at all? For class abilities, how are things like bonus spells/HP/lay on hands/smite uses/Bardic Performance calculated, where your appropriate ability is raised while in your animalistic form? |
