Page 90-91 in Near Space we get introduced to the world of Nemenar. It's a curse blighted world where darkvision/X-sense is mandatory because they block out all but UV light to stave off an ever burning curse.

Yet, I can't find this race, or I missed them in one of the Archives?

Isn't part of the point of Against the Aeon Throne's that the Star Empire doesn't have as good Drift travel as the Pact Worlds, which is why they haven't mounted an invasion yet, and the experimental Drift Drive would give them that capability, which is why it's so important to retrieve it from them?

I think you are on the money. They are literally years away from mounting a full bore invasion once they work out the vulgarities of Drift travel. And it's not JUST going to be the Pact Worlds. The Vesk homeworlds are in their sights too.

And if they don't have an employee familiar with the market, they risk buying a lot of out of date/shovelware that no one will buy and just takes up inventory space.

It's not just bookstores. I've seen LGS who deal in the stuff taking in old bad ttrpg books.

Then there's the local ban on gaming books at used book stores to contend with.

You could probably attribute the differences to variation in local gaming cultures. They could streamline PF2 for squad based wargaming or a board game and do well up here though.
