Would he go nuts over it?

He'd probably write me out of the will, disown me and ask the rest of the family not to speak to me under threat of writing them out of the will, too.

He has generally been a great person, but that is one thing he was never willing to reconsider.

I disagree. Only one of your animals becomes your steed, the rest function as a lower level animal companion and don't gain any benefit from your Mammoth Rider levels.

Most PFS games are held in a public place, generally a gaming store. I have had to remind many of our players that we are guests in their space and that they need to watch the language. Their actions reflect on all of organized play, and gamers in general. If you're playing in a private home, that's no one else's business.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

My brother got mixed up with some unsavory folks back in Alkenstar. I got him out, but not without owing some huge favors to those same unsavory folks. I left Alkenstar after that, and made my way as a bounty hunter for some time before they decided to collect on those favors. I ended up spending a good bit of time with some folks from the Society on an expedition, and for my part, earned a field commission. Never had the heart to tell them that I was helping smuggle Sczarni goods in through their shipments. I try to keep to the straight-and-narrow, but every so often, Guaril Karela comes by with another "favor" that I owe to keep little brother out of harm's way. I take no joy in it, but family comes first.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Georgina Wilhelmina McLintock. Though, I prefer Widdershins.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Born and raised in Alkenstar. I know they don't really, but it seems like every machine has a personality. And I've always been good at talking to them, figuring out what they want. I love the smog and the engine grease. I love the smell of gunpowder. I love all the little clockwork devices. I can take anything apart, and usually put it back together again. Sometimes it works better than it did before.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I'm not the cleanest of folks. I'm often covered in engine grease, lubrication and gunpowder residue. I've got a good set of wellies when I've got to trudge through the much, and a light duster when work takes me to hotter climes, but for the most part, it's a waxed duster, breeches, shirt and vest that don't get washed half as often as they ought to.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

My little brother comes first, but after him, I love getting my hands dirty with some greasy bit of gadgetry.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Being searched. Guards and their grubby hands, and not a one of them knows a damn thing about how to safely handle a firearm.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I've not had the privilege of sharing expeditions with many folks more than once, but there's a couple fellows back in Thornkeep that I'm quite fond of and would love to see again if ever my travels take me back that way.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I guess that I'm on the curious side. Sometimes I just have to know what makes something "tick," even if that might land us in a spot of trouble.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Guaril Karela. He's not a nice man. I'm afraid that one day, he'll ask me to do something that I just can't do. I'm not sure where that will leave little brother and me.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My gun. I built her and she's been with me for a long time. She's gotten me out of trouble more times than I can count. Sometimes she's not in the best of moods, and well, who isn't, but I know how to push her when need be and she hasn't failed me yet.

I've worked in a book bindery for 13 years now. There is a score line on the front and back cover to create a hinge. If you crease this line, the pages will bend there and not at the spine, keeping the spine from cracking and the pages from falling out.

Production errors do happen and it is not unheard of for an entire order to be ran as sub-standard books. If that were the case though, you'd have virtually everyone who received a book from that print run on these forums upset and quality control usually catches these issues before it leaves the bindery. It would be a statistical anomaly for all of your books to fall apart due to production errors. I highly recommend that you try what I and an earlier poster mentioned: creasing the hinge on the front and back cover and not creasing the spine. This is how these books are intended to be read.

It should be easy to change some of the gear from. Lady Tula's crypt. Just make one or two of her companions into gnomes or halflings. Also, if the party befriended the kobolds, perhaps they repay the favor by dip rafting a few items for the PCs.

For the monastery, I printed out a smaller map and uncovered it for the PCs as they went along and only drew the rooms if combat started.

Does a monk need atonement? I didn't think the lost class abilities, but just couldn't advance as a monk without changing the alignment back to lawful

Whatever it is, Paizo is doing something right.

I proposed Reign of Winter to a group and they turned their noses at it when I mentioned that they would eventually journey to WWI Russia. It's not going to be to everyone's liking. There are plenty of others to choose from. What is wrong with Rise of the Runelords, Curse of the Crimson Throne, Legacy of Fire, Serpent's Skull, Shattered Star, and Wrath of the Righteous? Surely you haven't played through all of those yet.

Are there any specific modules that would follow Dragon's Demand well? My players have already expressed interest in continuing the characters that they have after the module's conclusion.

...You mean someone in an upcoming adventure ends up with an axe in his back that's inscribed "Baird"? That's a little hard on the fourth wall, don't you think? ;)

Baird's axe ignores the fourth wall's hardness.

I'm fairly new to PFS with only 4 games under my belt. I've got a Gnome Barbarian the Linnorm Kingdoms who picks up a new title or two with every adventure. Currently, he's made it through the entirety of First Steps and become Jottun Archibaldsson, formerly of Halgrim in the Ironbound Isles, formerly of the independent floating Gnome Nation of Gogpodda, Breaker-of-Knees, Giver-of-Candy, Ghoul-Beheader, Krenshar-Splitter.

Somehow my Gnome Barbarian managed to spot the fake Azlanti object at the last encounter but I've yet to think of a suitable title to add that doesn't sound goofy. Appraiser-of-Azlanti-Artifacts? Has a silly ring to it.

I've been lucky that most of the folks I've played with in Society play have come up with interesting names. One guy from my home game though names everything with a pun or joke. I just shorten it to something that I can live with. Though, Jottun would prefer to be called by his full name and title. Isn't their a prestige award for someone to announce your arrival?

It was fun and enjoyable. Not exactly the Solomon Kane that I remember from the books, though.

While I have no advice to give, I do hope that you'll consider sharing some in-character campaign write-ups in the future.
