Actually, Blue tried to decapitate Alia's estoc. Given how large Alia's body is that should be obvious to Scarlet. That and of course, Alia's head didn't roll off. ;) "AND IF WE WEREN'T ALL BLIND, WE'D BE SEEING TO HER!" Blue shouts back rubbing his eyes.

It looks that way from where Numalar stands (or at least it would if he leaned over the battlements to look), but I'll say this, if he interacts with the gates he gets a Will save. Also, I would like to note that maps and pictures of doors are usually shown closed, even though they may actually be open, so feel free to ask whenever.

"Now to put an end to you for good." Arbalasti says coming to stand over the stricken elf. He pops the black-bladed katana, Wavecutter, free of its sheath with his thick thumb. It slides out smooth a serpent through silk. In the blink of an eye it strikes--a terrible overhand slicing coup de grace! There is a horrible clang of metal upon metal as katana strikes estoc and neither yields. Blue pauses and inspects the blades. "Calm yourself, Wavecutter. Be still. It is a worthy foe your enemy. Did you suspect that it would be overcome so easily?" says the dwarf calmly. Blue bends down to again regard the estoc. "Still, we can forge for you a prison of lead, and then drop you in the Tuskwater on our way east. How does that sound blade?" He stands back straight. "Warbeard! secure this weapon. Angus! Come see to the elf and Collinshammer." Warbeard rushes over.

But his blade--by all the gods, his blade is outlined in a darkness darker than night, darker than the magical darkness shrouding it, and its master. It is a black katana! Alia can tell even through the dark that this sword was not just forged of any mere skymetal, but of the same substance as her own blade, and she fancied she could hear it laughing just now. "Do not try it." says the dwarf captain coldly.

Meanwhile, high above more dwarves attain the battlements of the beacon tower. Arbalasti, and Bloody Angus can be seen on the battlement standing beside their scowling captain. There seems to be a great commotion coming from inside the bell-beacon tower. Down below in the courtyard, Miles can hear the sound of a veritable tidal wave of cursing dwarves, and clanging armor steaming toward the cathedral doors to his right.

There's spout of water from inside the tower. It hits the underside of the trapdoor, forcing it open and causing the beacon to roll off and onto its side where the flames gutter. A moment later, Blue Beetle is standing on the battlements having been lifted there by a pyramid of his men. He does not look amused.

Why is the site's text green? Is it spring again? ;) Tried posting yesterday, but couldn't get the site to connect. Alia of the Blade wrote: Alia waves at the blue dwarf when Scarlet points her out, somewhat insecure about proper protocol to follow, then inmediately feeling somewhat foolish about her waving and stopping it. The dwarf stares at Alia (or at least in her direction) in a very strange way--as if someone had just stepped on his grave. "We leave tonight undercover of dark to avoid the Movoni patrols. Everyone eat all you can. Those who come with us won't be any home cooking after tonight for a long while." He says it to the hall in general. More dwarves pile in to the hall and the Blue Beetle shakes off his momentary fugue, pats Scarlet absently on the hand and seeing Durgan heads toward the cleric. He claps the other (non blue) dwarf on the shoulder mid-purify. "Servant of the Gold-Fisted, aye?" he says. "If you are looking for wealth, and a job you could do worse than hitch yourself to the Company of the Sapphire Scarab."

With a roar the dwarf leader grabs up his sis ter in the sort of hug that might require first aid for bruised ribs when it's done. "You're back! I almost couldn't believe it when Warbeard told me. And you're back just in time too, the company's got a comission!" Organized Play Character
