Prince Kamihane Taiicho was in line to be the leader of clan Kamihane, the largest of the five tengu clans in Kwanlai. Fed up with the chaotic and unrefined style of many of his people, he sought to bring law and order to his clan and those who served him. His brilliant and sweeping design was to tear down all the housing in the Kamihane capitol, and rebuild the buildings in a neat, orderly fashion as to make them more presentable and more orderly. When the common people heard about their impending displacement, however, they were angry, and their anger spurred Taiicho's 'wicked' half-brother to usurp control from him and banish him from the kingdom. Taiicho has come to the other side of Golarion, and thrown in with the Sovereign Court in order to find a way to reclaim his home.
Taiicho is obsessed with all things courtly . . . but is firmly convinced of the superiority of the TIEN court system. While he is polite (outwardly) he is extreamly arrogant, and will constantly remind people that the tennants of the Tien court system are far superior.
