Toughness, Improved Initiative, Combat Casting, Metamagic Feats, Item Creation Feats, and Spell Penetrations. Take your pick, all have ups and downs depends on what's your role...

Is it wise to give up some smite evils to go with Sacred Servant with the travel domain with +10 to base speed, move through difficult terrain as normal, teleport as a move action, and gain some free useful utility spells? I'm more worry about my damage output without smite evil... As for weapons, I can go either way, 2h or SnS. It does allow me to catch up to those who fight at range and in air. (3rd level fly spell)

You guys seems to forget about the Eldritch heritage feats that gives you +6 inherit bonus to str and temporary claw attacks.

I'll go with half-elf as well since you get your skill focus feat for free and can dual class without losing favor class bonus. Now just pick up eldritch heritage and improve eldritch heritage feat with a robe of arcane heritage for additional +4 str at level 11.

You can start getting the heritage feats at 9th and 11th level.

Going sorcerer does look pretty nice about now...

The way I see Sash of War Champion is that if you don't have any fighter levels you treat your fighter level as 0. The Sash increase your fighter level from 0 to 4. It didn't say anything about you can't wear it and gain it's benefit if you don't have level/s in fighter, nor does it say you can gain it's benefit if you don't. So I guess it's up to the GM.

Pestilence + Serpentine = Vermin, Animals, Magical Beasts, Monstrous Humanoids = Humanoids when using mind effect spell on them.

1st level Charm Person = Charm Everything!!!

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate. 2 people marked this as a favorite.

Why can't there be pants slot? Apparently no one wear pants in D&D or Pathfinder.

I don't think you can wear a robe and armor at the same time.
Can you put the robe of arcane heritage's effect on your armor for 24,000? (16,000 normal cost, +8,000 to add it on an existing piece of craftsmanship.)
I suppose you could if your GM allowed it, but why would you? It's a waste of money (unless you are looking to benefit from multiple robe abilities).

If he doesn't alow to wear robe and armor at the same time, I have to resort to 24,000 idea. This way I get +4 str at level 11, and max of +6 at 15 instead of 19. If he does, saves me 8k.

You're a Paladin with the Abyssal heritage? How have you not committed suicide yet? =/ You need to end your blight upon the world!

That depends on your background. (didn't get eldritch heritage until 9th level) You can find out as you travel around and find a way to redeem your ancestor's gifts.

Or, you became paladin because you have abyssal heritage, you want to clear your ancestor's filth by slaying all demons.

Or, you seek redemption from your ancestor's "wrong doings" and want to clear your own names.

I can think up more reasons, It's all about how you role play this out.

Planning on building a human paladin, 25 point buy:

17 Str
14 Con
13 Dex
10 Int
10 Wis
16 Cha

Feats: Improved Initiative, Toughness (1st), Power Attack(3rd), Step Up(5th), Skill focus (knowledge planes)(7th), Eldritch Heritage(abyssal)(9th), Improved Eldritch Heritage(11th)

Probably going to start at level 1, and it's a two man group + DM npc/s.

So, I'm planning to put all my points into STR, get Sash of War Champion and Mithral Fullplate for wearing a "Medium Armor" without penalty to movement. -2 check penalty is not much of a problem, +4 max dex for armor works well with +6 dex item to give 19 dex if I have extra money throwing around or happen to find one.

As for the Str bonus from 9th level abyssal bloodline, is it possible to wear a robe over your armor and vice-versa? Can I wear Robe of Arcane Heritage and my armor at the same time and get the benefit of both items?

so at 12th level with +6 str item I should have str of 30 if I have The robe on and +3 points into str from leveling up.

From Bloodline Arcana combination alone: mind controlling everything!!! Well, most everything...

Pestilence
Bloodline Arcana: Vermin are susceptible to your mind-affecting spells. They are treated as animals for the purposes of determining which mind-affecting spells affect them.

Serpentine
Bloodline Arcana: Your powers of compulsion can affect even bestial creatures. Whenever you cast a mind-affecting or language-dependent spell, it affects animals, magical beasts, and monstrous humanoids as if they were humanoids who understood your language.
