T'Krunch eyes the remnants of the drunk's drink pooling on the floor. "Do you plan to finish that?" he asks, preparing to swoop down for a slurp.

T'Krunch breathes an audible sigh, then trots off behind the four-legged dignitary.

"Where to next?" T'Krunch inquires. He considers what he may already know of the Nebula's Core.

T'Krunch digs into his meal voraciously. As he comes close to cleaning his plate, he begins eyong the remainder of the meals of the others.

"Are you going to finish that?" he inquires more than once.

T'Krunch leaves his mind open to possibilities.

"A psychic reading, eh?" T'Krunch thinks aloud. His attention is focused on his appetite rather than the princess: discussion of undead megastars. I want a sampler platter of EVERYTHING! Although not telepathic, the ikeshti hopes his thoughts are not only heard, but made manifest.

He subconsciously licks his scaly lips.

What is the human expression for being very hungry? He tries to bring it to mind. Oh, yes. They say, 'I'm so hungry that I could eat a horse!'

Satisfied that he recalled the expression properly, only then does he find his attention turning back toward the princess.

"Food sounds good." says T'Krunch. "I'm famished."

T'Krunch sends a dart towards blue.

Squirt Blood (Ex) Once per day as a move action, an ikeshti brood-minder can squirt blood from one of his eyes at a foe within 30 feet, making a ranged attack (+6 for most ikeshti brood-minders) against the target’s KAC. A successful hit grants the next ally who hits that foe the benefit of harrying fire against it (Starfinder Core Rulebook 247).

He then retrieves his needler pistol.

I'm sorry to hear it, Lysle. I hope you have a complete and speedy recovery.

That certainly adds perspective to the view of my recent life; I'll still apologize for my absence due to travel and work mishaps, but suddenly they seem very minor.

As an aside, I find the practice of engaging in periodic, self-assessment and reflection to be of great value. However, I consider comparing parts of one's life to those of another to be unproductive at best.

A strange and unfortunate coincidence

FYI. I was diagnosed with my a serious infection last night. I've since undergone surgery and am scheduled for a number more over the coming week. I will be hospitalized for at least that long.

I am currently in good spirits, have a fair amount of energy and some sudden free time. I don't know how long any of those will last. I currently expect to be able to post, but please free to not me if I have not responded within a 24 hour time period.

"Pardon me, Princess, but I think I should go check on the others," suggests T'Krunch. "You are welcome to join me if you'd like."

The reptilian Starfinders heads out into the corridor.

More sober is the Valor's Heart, training ship for the Iomedean warrior-priesthood. Also more sober is the midnight blue cube of the Simar Communion, a society of identical female human clones.

All the sobering sights, T'Krunch begins to wonder if he still needs coffee.

After a little more than an hour, when the ship slips under the Armada and points its nose toward Absalom Station, a shudder runs through the length of the vessel. There's a moment of silence as the air recyclers cut out. Then they resume with a comforting hiss.

"I don't like those sounds." T'Krunch ponders aloud, before his vocal thoughts become more...lyrical. "Who can I turn to?"

After spotting a number on the wall, he gets an idea. "I've got it! I've got! I've got it!"

He takes to his comm to give a call to HFG-5-309. "I think this ship is need of some repairs. I know our dignitary is hoping for a good time, but if this ship is dangerous, we should put an end to the trip. Can you employ your mechanical skills on the ship and let me know whether or not keep flying as we have been or to bring this jaunt to an end and call it? I trust your judgment, just pick one. Should we expect to be in for a good time? Call?"

"Let me see if I can't this a more interesting trip." suggests T'Krunch. With the panels off, he gets to work overriding the autopilot, with the intent to get the automated system to produce a hot cup of coffee.

Lady Luna, did you want to try some of the drinks and snacks that came with the tour? I believe I recall seeing them in the observation area. Do you have any dietary limitations?

"Drinks and snacks?" T'Krunch echoes. "And somehow I missed them?!" The ikeshti shakes his head shamefully. "Which way to the observation area?"

T'Krunch waits eagerly for a response before heading in the direction indicated.

T'Krunch takes up a spot near the princess. He rifles through his supplies. "I've got some ginger and chamomile. Both can be an effective herbal remedy in the event that you start to feel some motion sickness." The ikeshti offers the dignitary. "They also make for great seasonings!"

"I hope you have enough of this 'coffee' for everyone." T'Krunch reples. The ikeshti eyes the dignitary, considering her tastes and distastes.

"My name is T'Krunch. I am a Starfinder." The ikeshti explains."If all goes well as it can, I'll eventually end up as a brood-minder, responsible for feeding and caring--though, mostly feeding, really--of a vast brood of hungry, growing, and hungry little mouths."

"Left to their own devices, that voracious little brood will try to ingest whatever organic matter they can get their claws and teeth around. Some broods of my kind have been known to operate as garbage disposals for large settlements," he explains. "But, I always figured that if I--and later, my brood--are going to eat, then why not eat the best the galaxy has to offer?"

"That's why I joined the Society. It offers opportunities to explore new worlds, new cultures, new species, and--naturally, new tastes!" The ikeshti gives a toothy grin. "Which brings me to meeting new beings like yourself. May I ask what is in the cup?"

"Hay! Let me see that!" T'Krunch shouts as he reaches out to get a good look at the dossier. He looks at the vidshot of the dark blue equine craeture and the ikesthit licks his lips. "Chevaline cordon bleu." He mutters quietly to himself.

A purple-hued ikeshti in the room equally eyes the refreshments as well as his fellow Starfinders. "Quite the spread," he concludes.

"I am GRIM*!"

"My, my. Aren't you the morsel?" The ikeshti says, looking up at the shobhad. "'Grim', did you say? I'm called T'Krunch."

GRIM*! turns off his Voice Amplifier augmentation and in a surprisingly soft timid voice says.

"Nice to meet you all, hope I can be a helpful member of this team. This is Xylavol Intellectual Cinema Verite Visionary she's my tech support and camera person hireling, hope you don't mind if we film a few of the mission highlights for the video channel I'm starting. It's my first mission I'm a bit nervous and excited at the same time. I hope we all can be friends."

"Film away," T'Krunch replies. "And don't worry about it being this just being your first course. I haven't been with the Society too long myself. Lived on Akiton until I struck out on my own a few years ago. I thought joining the Starfinder Society might give me a taste of what the Pact Worlds have to offer."

"Greetings, Grim. I am H-F-G-5 309. Are you waiting on VC Chiskisk?"

"Math isn't my strong suit. Can I call you 'H'?" T'Krunch inquires of the android. "And what substance would you say gives your artifical epithelium its appetizing lucidity?"

"And more importantly, would you mind if I took a sample?" T'Krunch inquires of the android, pulling out a small, handheld device, which includes an extendable wand tipped with a sampling nozzle. Attached to the device is a series of small, empty vials.

This is T'Krunch's microlab for his biohacker abilities.

"Actually, I'd love to take a portion from each of you." T'Krunch informs the party. "I'll take however much you'll give me, but I don't need much more than a pinch."

"With a few nibbles and tweaks, I might be able to take this thing offline." The ikesthti selects a wire, then tries to bite through it.

"You look like you've been through a meat grinder," T'Krunch says to Kivi. "Mind, if I help myself to a small sample?"

"As for this 'hideout', do you think you could lead us there?"

T'Krunch attempts to repair the wires.

T'Krunch looks at the wreckage and begins to sift through it.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

"Not purposefully, I would gather," T'Krunch replies.

I believe with the "coating" Jortek's KAC is now 17.

T'Krunch draws his needler pistol and moves to line up a shot on the android.
"I suspect you've got enough organic parts to make some tenderizing worthwhile," he says to the priest before firing.

T'Krunch moves forward and applies some form of biohack accompanied by a field dressing to the raxilite.

Jortek delays. He waits for the enemies to come to them.

"Your scales look like they could use a nice coating," notes T'Krunch as he retrieves a few pre-mixed ingredients and bastes the vesk.

We crashed here, like I suspect you did. We came here to find a female kobold named Kivi. She seems to be missing, although I'll bet we're all missing at this point.

"I'm missing..." T'Krunch interjects, "...lunch, that is. And the kobold. Not necessarily the same thing."

The ikeshti is disappointed the recent recipient of his words is an android. "So, just how much of you is mechanical?"

"I supposed we're going to have to shut that signal down if we hope to fly anything off this rock," notes T'Krunch. "That is, if we can conjure something workable to fly off this rock in."

"I believe we were headed to the Muse 'landing site' before we crashed. Assuming, the shuttle 'landed' the same way we did, we might not find our friend in one piece," notes the ikesthi. "Still, there may be something of a meal there."

"If we come across something more interesting on route to the shuttle, such as the shrine or something likely to be broadcasting that interference, we could check it out," he suggests.

T'Krunch rifles through the computer system looking for bugs. After finding a tasty one, he eats it. Then, he starts looking for errors in the source code that could have caused the program to produce unexpected results or crash altogether.

There is something strange happening with the ship, as if it is accepting random navigation input. It isn't long before it completely spirals out of control.

"I figured we'd start at the beginning with the shuttle as our 'appetizer', but I'm game," shrugs T'Krunch.

A red-scaled ikeshti, who has been remaining relatively quiet, follows the group to the auditorium. As the others look out the hologram, he bobs his head as if in search of something else.

“This is Yashu-Indiri. It’s an airless moon, covered in small shrines built and tended by an order of mystics. Kivi visits every other month to tend to Shelyn’s shrine. Her last transmission indicated she was approaching Yashu-Indiri. We didn’t receive confirmation of landing. It’s my belief she’s in danger. I implore you to find her and bring her back home.”

"So, this [smaller]isn't[smaller] the buffet line"" The ikeshti hisses quietly to himself.

If you have no luck, see if she made it to Shelyn’s shrine. Otherwise, try speaking with the mystics on Yashu-Indiri. They might know what happened to her.”

T'Krunch is disappointed that no food is served upon his return, but he does turn down a credstick.

As the team goes their separate ways, he expresses his hopes that they may work together again someday. It's a measure of his pride in a task well done that even his parting words with T'Krunch are surprisingly cordial--though unsurprisingly, not as effusive as those the other Starfinders receive.

"We should do lunch," T'Krunch suggests to party, before aying an eye on the stellifera. Similarly, his thoughts turn to things well done and even the parting words make him think--though unsurprisingly, of cherry cordial.

Thank you GM Meranthi for a fun run. Good job and I hope you will be running more games here in the future. I had some concern near the beginning that the game might run out of momentum, which unfortunately can kill some PbP games, but you did a fine job of keeping us moving.
