No posts. Organized Play character for Hyanda.

Hello,

I am working on my first character for 2nd edition organized play. It is a goblin Champion. Upon looking at the possible divine ally you can get at level 3, I was wanting to use a goblin dog. The RAW says that it is typically a creature with the mount special ability such as a horse. I see the horse rules with that ability in the PHB, but the horse description in the bestiary doesn't have this ability, and neither does the goblin dog in the bestiary. Is there somewhere that has better defined rules for a mount for a small character? A horse seems silly for a small goblin, and I can't seem to find anything other RAW friendly options.

Thanks in advance.

So reading over the new Adventure 2 scenarios, 2-2A : A night on the Town, had some confusing elements. The Henchmen listed are Poison Traps, and Scarecrow Golem. How many of each do I include. Also, there is a printable henchmen for Giant Cockroach Swarm, with rules of what to do when encountering it, but no rules as for where to put them. I'm assuming they meant to say poison traps were a proxy for the the Giant Cockroach Swarm, but it's unclear. what is everyone else take on this?

Playing through the new Season of the Runelord adventures, and this one, having no villian or henchmen, seemed really troublesome to succeed at. I felt the whole time like I was missing an additional rule to get through this. Is it just naturally difficult, or am I truly missing something?

Hello everyone!

So I am playing the dread necromancer conversion from 3.5. I took an ability that gives me an undead guardian. It's a human warrior zombie. I've having some problems creating this.

Do I start with a human with warrior class levels, then apply the zombie template? Also it says it has as many HD as I have class levels, so does that mean each HD I apply another level of warrior? And for its start stats, where do I find those?

Thanks for any help !

Hey all,

Finally getting to play in a home game, and was gonna play a necromancer since I never get to play evil in PFS....looking foe advice on how to go about it, or sources if good material to use for this type of character. Gm is being pretty open to anything within reason.

Thanks

Hey all!

So, I play society. However, I usually play the damaging CN type. I want to switch it up, and decided I was going to play the "walk the earth", help everyone and reach enlightenment type. I was thinking of taking all the vows, and possibly the Lotus monk archtype. However, I haven't played much in the way of this type of characters so I'm looking for useful advice and tricks to make this.

Thanks!

So,I'm playing kingmaker in a home game. My previous character dies, so the gm is letting me roll a new one, at level 6. I am a drow assassin type, and wanted to play an arcane archer. Needing a +6 bab, and first level arcane spells, I realized blood rager is the fastest path to this. After looking further I started to realize it wasn't a bad combo, getting an adaptive composite bow right off the start. So I'm going to post my build, with the need for critic, as I am sure I'm missing something.

Level 6 drow blood rager, 25 point buy

STR 14
DEX 18
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 8
CHA 16

Feats :
point blank shot
precise shot
weapon focus <longbow>
combat reflexes

Bloodrager line : arcane

Edit : forgot to add that I'm starting arcane archer at level 7, when i level up

Let me know what you think

Thanks

Making a spell slinger for a home game. My original character died, so the gm is allowing me to start at level 6 to keep up with the other party members. He will Probably be drow, to keep up with a story arc, but the gm is allowing me to have an INT bonus over CHA. I would like some advice to building this character. Back story is basically a drow from the under dark, sent to the surface to further the advancement of thier assassin guild.

Thanks for your imput, fairly new to casters and gun users

Hello,

I want to make a warpriest, and use a mug for his sacred weapon. I'm playing society, what is the best way to do this, and how do I make it out of adamantine? And can it be enchanted likens normal weapon.

Thanks

Hello! Posted a few times about builds, but narrowed it down. I am thinking about making a half orc bloodrager with the abbysal blood line, with the toothy alt racial ability, giving me a bite and two claws right off the bat. We are playing emerald spire with these characters, and it is looking like I'm the damage dealer. Looking for advice to make this a powerhouse, or advice if this isn't gonna be a good choice for the powerhouse. Thanks

Starting Emerald Spire, withing PFS, and looking to form my character for this adventure. I have seen what everyone else is playing, and damage seems a bit lacking. I want to make a shameless damage machine, and was wondering if I could get some thoughts on the best way to go about this. Thanks!

I play PFS, and with the recent release of the chronicle sheets for the Emerald Spire, a group of us will be undertaking the famed dungeon. I will be using only this character for the whole dungeon, and was looking for ideas on a character that would be effective in this massive dungeon crawl. So far it looks like we have a skald, ranged slayer, and a warpriest. Any ideas to get the creative juices flowing would be great.

Been mulling over possible things to do with the new ACG, and been toying over the idea of a two weapon warpriest. Maybe using a light pick, as weapon damage goes up with my level, and it's a light weapon with a x4 multipier. Any advice or suggestions on this idea? blessings? gods to worship? anything to help would be great

Hey all,

With the new season of PFS being based around sky lords and robots and all sorts of new technology, I want to make a technophobic character, who is skilled in the dispatching of robots and constructs. However, I'm at a loss as to where to start, and what class/abilities would really excel at this. Any sort of input would be great!

Thanks in advance.

Hello!

Been thinking up new ideas lately, and I've come up with something.

I want to make a summoner, whose eidelon is highly trained in defense. If I am a small character, such as a newly opened up Wayang, and I give my eidelon the mount evolution, and craft in in such a way that I can "enter" it from the back, can I gain concealment since his body is techincally covering and protecting me? If not, is there a way to make this possible?

The concept is kinda like the megazord from power rangers, though thats not the actually concept I'm going for, but a good image of what I'm trying to describe. Little man, in a big body. Then I can just buff and heal him from inside safe from baddies.

As Stated, working on a new character. Want to make something that specializes in charming and turning over the enemy under my control. Any thoughts on the best way to go about this? PFS legal also, please.

I'm looking to make a character which is the ultimate support character. I want to buff members, and be a superior healer. I want to be there solely for the purpose of making my party succeed. Any advice on the best way to make this happen? It will be society play, so keep that in mind. thanks.

Hello Pathfinders!

I am looking to make a brand new character, and want to make something with insane high defense. I've played many effective skilled damage dealers, so I want the opposite. I want something with high AC that can just laugh in the dungeon boss's face. Not sure the best way to go about this, and was looking to the forums for creative ideas.

Thanks in advance.

As the title would suggest, I'm looking at making a zen archer monk. I know these builds can get out of hand, and I want the potential to be a powerhouse. Any advice on making this character useful to full potential?

Also, looking for a few fun ways to give him a few disadvantages to give the GM ways to disable me if he doesn't want me pelting everything that moves. I play PFS...so having drawbacks can be fun.

OK...GO!

Hello all,

I'm currently playing a level 6 Ifrit swashbuckler in PFS. He uses dervish dance and an adamantine +1 scimitar for his swashbucklin' needs. I have the +2 Dex belt, and mithiral armor. I need suggestions for other cool magic items, that would benefit my heave dex based swashbuckler.

Thanks!

So, I just hit level 3 as a Wizard(Necromancer). I played the first two levels of thornkeep, and that got me slingshotted into level 3. Now that I'm here, I find myself somewhat wanting in power. I have control undead via the channel ability. However, if there are no undead presented in the dungeon we are currently diving into, I'm somewhat gimped. Anyone have any advice for this up and coming necromancer to help get me through the next few levels until I can cast Animate Undead(level 4 spell)??

Greetings fellow pathfinder!

Need a little help. Looking to make a necromancer type character within the guidelines of society play. I know that necromancy is looked down upon, but not outright illegal. That being said, what are some of the more effective way to go about this within PFS rules? Was thinking perhaps a summoner with an undead eidelon. Is there any way to use summon monster for undead instead? Or perhaps there is an archtype for summoner or another class that would help flesh this out for me. Any advice would be good!

Thanks!

Toying with the idea of making a summoner with an emphasis in undead. Obviously my eidilon would be undead in appears, but is there any other way to spice up the necro feel? Any way to convert summon monster spells to undead? Any other flavor ideas would be helpful.

thanks

Hello fellow Pathfinders,

I'm trying to design a new character, and it will be under the guidelines of Pathfinder Society legal play. I want to make a summoner, with the idea that the eidelon will be as a puppet or marionette type of character. I'm familiar with the basics of the summoner class, but I was looking for any tips or cool ideas to bring this to life and give it some flavor. Any help or comments would be appreciated to help me get started on getting this on paper.

Thanks!

So I've started a new character for a home game, and I've encountered an issue and was wondering if anyone knew of a solution.

I am playing a Drow Ninja, and am still only level 1, so I have a long way for advancement. The idea is, to take the Drow Magic feats in the Advanced Race Guide, which will ultimately give me Deeper Darkness at will. The issue I ran into, is that my drow Darkvision does not allow me to see in this particular environment. What I want to do is use Deeper Darkness to cast on an item, and basically use it to get continuous sneak attacks on my enemies that can't see me. Is there anyway for me to be able to see in Deeper Darkness in anyways, via feats, magic items, or even a class ability? I have found nothing solid as of yet.

Thank you for your time in advance.
