Hey guys.

I am having a hard time keeping up with the thread. I am currently overload at work and have a trip coming next week. Insted of slowing down the game again even more for everybody I think I will bow out. Wish you guys all the best and sorry for creating another disruption to the game.

Hey, would you stop making more of them!
Stolen Face heals a fey again.
Cast stabilize. I am not going to try dex checks or I may end up squishing one of the feys with my boots.

Isn't there an end to this little buggers?! My fingers are getting tired.

Did anybody else got problems with the site yesterday? I could not open it in any of my computers.

Yes, it will follow our trail and pounce at us during the night. We better deal with them now.

Making only slow and carefull movements Stolen Face loads his sling, ready his shield and advances to be side by side with Caldrian before firing his stone pebble at the beast.
Atk: 1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (10) - 1 + 2 = 11
Dmg: 1d4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 3 + 2 = 6

No problem. SF nods to Caldrian.

I have 2 more spells today. I was planning on saving them. But if anyone else fells they are too hurt I can spend more. With a group this big it may be worth it to have more people with heals memorized in the future. I wont be able to keep up with AoE dmgs.

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

Getting up from the floor Stolen Face heals himself and Caldrian.
CLW SF: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
CLW Caldrian: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Nope, I can heal but we dont have a dedicated healer. No one with channel. Also I have no interest in the chainshirt.

Insted of a one person line could we do a two person by roll line?

Yes she will. But I am sure the Lady will be generous when you people return it to her. Stolen Face picks up Tessica's signet ring and his own fallen spear before going forward.

At the snowy clearing he readies his spear against any unseen danger.
Be carefull.

I could put the masterwork breastplace to good use but I dont think Face would stop to defroze the corpse while Lady Tessica is still missing. Maybe on the way back.

What I have seem most pbps do is the DM roll initiative and saves for the players. IMO this is the best system.

Some DMs let everyone post out of order to speed things up and then do a retcon post by the end of every round telling what happened and how it happened. The players, knowing how the system works, sometimes post more than one option for their actions like "I will hit the baddie on my turn but if he is already dead I will heal player X". IMO this is also the best approuch but it kinda puts more work on the DM's shoulders and some people think its too chaotic.

As I guy who have initiative +1 the average would be great for me but I agree with Morrigan. I think its unfair for the people who specialized themselfs in going first. It turns Improved Initiative into a terrible feat choice for the player and takes away a lot of the mojo from the DEX builds. If we had a rogue he would be pretty desperate with the average idea but since no1 else rolls those guys anyway... :P

Cursing Stolen Face steps back, drops his spear, ready his shield and draws a dagger.

5ft step back, AC 20 now. Currently I have 2 hp, help?

Getting near the statue Stolen Face recognizes it.
That is not a statue, its a frozen men. What is left of Captain Odenkirk, the commander of those man. Before he could say more the carriage's strange noise got his attention. He moves to Dorven's side, climbs the passenger's compartment, waits a second for everybody to get into position and open its door.

Stolen Face visits the town shops and retires to the inn. Still fatigued by his recent ordeal on the road he wants nothing more than a hot meal and getting back to bed. If the town have wenches he will hire one for the night.

He met the others at the gates when the sun was about to rise to begin their journey. It didn t take long for them to to confirm Yulm's story. At the carnage site he could hardly believe his own eyes.

These were competent men. I have served with them in the Lady's guard. They knew how to use a sword and how to hold a line. Yet they had no chance.

Drawing his spear Stolen Face follows Grimgisli to help with the investigation.

They dont have a name for him up north. After the "incident" he left the north never to return, he had no more honor or place among his people. He has been living in Taldor for the past 10 years. In the south he would just use his regular name but no one called him that. They would nickname him skull, ugly, burned man, f@+%face (this one usually ended in a brawl) anything...

As time went by he picked up the nickname he liked the best and started using it. The mask is to stop people from throwing up while he is having his meal at the tavern floor and lowering the overcharge of the harlots fees.

People hire him because he has been living and working in Zimar as a mercenary for the past 10 years. I will try to make that more clear in his backstory.

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

Man, I loved that show.
When I did this character "faceless" was already taken, I almost named him "no face". But in the end I thought Stolen Face sounded better. So far he hasn't told his name to anyone. I guess you could call him SF? Dont know, I am open to suggestions.

EDIT: I did not realised someone had not posted yet, I thought I was the last one. Sorry for pushing thinks forward too fast then.

Stolen Face picks one bag and passes the others along to the rest of the man.

If they are willing to beg help from branded and masked man this people must be pretty desperate. I had no idea Lady Tessica had such a hold on this lands. Maybe I should be charging more. The ulfen thinks on his way to the church.

Yuln... Yuln!
Open your eyes.
Look at me. Do you remember me?
Tell me what happened.

The brashness of Níðingr makes Stolen Face smile. It brings back memories of places and people lost in a far away past. He approuches the mayor.

If you are giving away money for those who will come to the rescue of Lady Tessica I will accept your pay. But dont expect a northerner, or any man for that matter, to follow the lead of one branded a traitor AND a witch. Pointing at Thrymr. Stop this foolishness women.
Now bring us to this survivor so we may speak with him.

Nice, 30 posts in 7 hours, this thread is on fire.

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

Behind the leather mask a pair of blue eyes turn to Dorven.
I am fine.
What is this talk about a missing noble women?

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

A tall man walks outside the Inn and into the square wearing the animal's furs favoured by the ulfen people. His armor and gear are well kept but there is something awkward in the way the ulfen moves, a stiffness from an unknown constraint.

Stopping near a couple he turns his masked face to admire the banner some girl is carrying. Should have tried that one, I am sure it would have worked. He thinks with irony and bitterness.

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

Stolen Face walks into the town staggering before sunset. It is possible that the Lady and her entourage are already there, he lost track of time during his imprisonment. It was almost a miracle that he was alive, when the snowstorm hit he couldnt see more than 5ft ahead. Blind luck lead him to the hollow of a rotten oak where he maneged to hole up and weather the storm. Shame he could not fit his horse inside.

He was breathing and still had all his fingers, luck indeed. His nose and ears were another story, but they didnt count, those were old wounds. He woke up the inkeeper and got a bed, the man kept giving him strange looks but he is used to that sort of thing. No noble had arrived so he secured lodgings for the Lady, she must have been delayed by the storm also. What is wrong with the weather he thinks to himself, its summer.

The ulfen can hardly climb the stairs to his room, his body and mind feels numb from fatigue. His old wounds hurt because of the cold but he welcomes the pain, its a reminder he is still alive.

At some point later on a knock in the door awakes him. Its boy with a message about a meeting in the townsquare, something about a missing noble women. Stolen Face has a bad feeling about that. He notice the boy is pale as the snow outside. Feeling his face with his left hand he realises he forgot to put on the mask. He slams the door shut and readies himself, a few minuts later he is at the square with an odd assortment of folks.

Lore Oracle 1; HP 15/17; AC20 T13 F17; CMD12; F+3 R+3 W+3; Init +1; Perc +1

Stolen Face is a melee combatant also. My DEX is too low for ranged attacks. In combat I was planning in being a melee dmg dealer with some spot heals when needed. I can help with the knowledge skills also.

I am fine with Grimgisli's proposed compromise regarding loot.

Your innate understanding of the universe has granted you preternatural reflexes and the uncanny ability to step out of danger at the very last second. Have a question about the story feat. I want to take

Arisen:

Escaping death strengthened your bond to life, but fills you with a need for answers.

Prerequisite: You must have been slain and brought back from the dead, or have the Left to Die or Cursed Birth background.

Benefit: You don't die until your negative hit point total is equal to or greater than 4 + your Constitution score. Once per day as a standard action, you can force yourself to carry on by strength of will alone, gaining 1 temporary hit point per hit die. These temporary hit points last for 10 minutes.

Normal: You die when your negative hit point total is equal to or greater than your Constitution score.

Goal: You meet in person and hear the words of your deity or your deity's chosen herald. If you worship a pantheon of deities, you must meet and hear a member of that pantheon... a herald does not suffice in this case. If you worship no specific deity, you must hear the words of an appropriate entity of the GM's choice.

Completion Benefit: You gain a +2 bonus on saving throws against death effects and fear effects. In addition, the caster level of any conjuration (healing) spell that is cast on you increases by 1 for the purposes of its effects on you alone.

But with a twist. Insted of a deity or its herald I was thinking about a direct confrontation, not necessarily of the violent type, with Fafnheir the ancient linnorm.
Would that be alright Divineshadow?

This is Merck, created this profile for my oracle with all the info inside. Still missing the story feat. I am not married to the Lore mystery, since Aardvark Barbarian posted a similar concept first if we both get picked I will change my mystery.
