@ Morrigan It did and I rolled it failed just post got eaten apparently.
Dorvren's bolt impacts one side of its grasping maw at the same time as Stolen Face's cestus together the twin impacts crush the beasts skull and it goes down.
Grimgisli
"Nest in the trees? Amongst the limbs or in hollows in the trunks? The second would limit where the nest could be pretty well . . .. Not that many trees get that big. Must be more like a big cat, then. We should look for a tree missing a lot of bark shoulder high or up." He says the last looking at the nearly man-sized creatures and trying to estimate where the foreclaws would be likely to engage the tree.
Oops. Oh, well.

Odd recovers: 1d2 ⇒ 2
39 cold iron and 16 standard easily available it is, then.
Dorvren
Dorvren is not a climber, so in stead he reloads his clip.
Dorvren
Percep 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Dorvren
Sorry my exposition seems not to have worked. Watching for anything approaching, standing guard, just in case thereis a teenager about
Dorvren
yea I was posting during the PFS game during a break from my phone. I hit preview then edited to fix the format, but I must have done somethign wrong.
Aldiran Teldessar
Do not know if the ones spotting it have shared the fact that the eggs are up the tree - if they didn't:
Perception in case Aldiran needs to spot them herself: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25
Aldirans' eyes seem to spark a bit at the mention of the eggs - "I want to see those" - and she approaches the tree.
Since no one is climbing anyway :D
She ponders for a few moments at the bottom of the tree, then securing her gear, starts to climb slowly.
Aldiran is not a climber neither, but her scholar heart would drag her to collect the eggs - if I can take 20, will do so on both accounts, for a net result of 16. If by any chance she believes there is a chance they will break, she will ask the group to assist her.
If she manages to recover them safely:
The woman eyes the eggs curiously, then proceeds in acconditioning them in her backpack.
Knowledge (Nature?) to ascertain their nature and how best to accomodate them, or if there would be a chance we will be chased by another lizard for them, etc.: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

Not what i would have done but it works mostly lol. I would have put them in a belt pouch tied it to a rope and lowered that. As long as some either gets into the lowest branches or is willing to play catch... seems your about 5 foot shy of where you need them to be. And yes I took peoples vertial reach into account.
Dorvren
So we have time for this but not for the armor... Dorvren grumbles.
He wanders over and takes off his hat ready to catch the eggs in that.
Dorvren
So omelettes in the morning?
Alexandyr Sindre
Ol' Alex will help with the Mage Hande-ry from the ground, so that all eggs make it down safe and sound.
Is there an appropriate skill that would determine their value if we found the right buyer?
Aldiran Teldessar
The woman sketches a smile, but seems focused on the eggs themselves - "I don't think so Dorvren... Not this time... I am very curious if these are viable, and how aggressive the ones coming from them will be - aren't you?"
divineshadow, any results for my knowledge roll on these? :D
Aldiran Teldessar
Waiting on the Knowledge results to see if Aldiran can package the eggs correctly, but we can go on.
"After you Sir" - Aldiran retorts, as she carefully conditions her backpack.

Okay this has been eaten like three times so I'm gonna try it one more time....
As you walk through the forest along the path you come to a tree in middle of a clearing it has obviously been dead for awhile as it stripped of all bark and you can see its worn slivered wood. But what draws the eye are what at first appear to be little bundles of vsrious colored somethings tied to the tree as you get closer you see what they are. Birds of many varieties and small fey folk tied up and hanging from the tree. Some are missing their parts of their bodies others seem to be frozen. After staring for a few moments in horror you realise some of then on the hanging tree are still alive and struggling.....
Okay turn one you may make perception checks at a Dc 15 to find more live fey. Or you can make a climb/acrobatics check Dc12 to rescue one of the ten you see alive. In addition should some one get one down some else may treat the wounds of it with a dc 14 heal check. They are all tiny or smaller.... complications will occur as time goes on...
Alexandyr Sindre
Alex stretches and makes sure no weaponry is going to suddenly free itself. Doing some mental counting in his head, he bobs and weaves his way up the tree to free the remaining living...whatever they were.
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17
Dorvren
percep1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Someone get one down!
if so heal 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Aldiran Teldessar
Aldiran takes in the scene with a grim look on her face - "No matter ho little consideration I have for many of the creatures of this world, it can always be taken a step further..."
She scans the area for living creatures that may need assistance, while shaking her head at the disgusting scene.
Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
Heal if she finds any: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
But she is unable to find any, possible distracted by the whole scene.
Dorvren
ah i misread, was on my phone, I didnt see perception to find "more" alive.. if i can i would prefer to use the heal check on one of the fey if someone pulls one down. i can take the first roll and have a 15 in stead of the second 16. If not that is ok too :)
Grimgisli
"This is wrong enough to not be believable. Let's start by rescuing the ones we can. Someone want to build a fire to help warm them?" Instead of doing that himself, the hunter drops his pack and "loose" gear, pulls his climbing aids out of the pack, and then starts attempting to recover creatures that are still alive from the tree. As he climbs, he calls out "Če slišiš me pokliče, tako da bomo lahko brez vas!"
-----
Mechanics - Turn 1, Climb to rescure
Climb w/Gear & Armor Check penalty: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 10
Really? Really? With a net +7? 80% chance of success, right? I guess he took too long getting his gear and getting prepped during this turn. <sigh>

@ Aldiran yes one roll per turn. @Dorvren nope your stuck with finding a living one. Btw this was to some degree in the ap I just made it slightly worse and made you able to save some of the victims. Also we are waiting on Miers roll.
There are a few cries and the rescued fey answers
Do to Grims very intelligent call out fkr the next two turns all perception checks to find living fey get a +3 starts now ends at the end of the third turn. Note for those of you with mage hand and such I will allow a casting stat check at dc 10 to safely get a fey down however if you fail you hurt him worse.... this is due to a pm I received. Also thise of you with stabilize as a cantrip.... ni heal check need
@SF you also still get a skill check and we have one rescued fey....
Dorvren
K next turn then I will heal one. Also I am a fan of being able to save some.
Get these creatures down and over to me so I can work on them! Grimgsli! You can't get a grip on the bark, wrap yor arms around the trunk!

Okay mier will make perception check and Sf will make a heal check.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Okay so far
13/?? Living fey found.
1/13 found have been rescued.
1/1 rescued have been treated.
You notice a darking of the sky on the horizon in the same direction as the last pluse. The fey are crying out to be saved +3 on perception checks to find them and something just feels off....
TURN 2
You may make all the same checks as turn 1 additionally these actions are available
I think we are being watched. Perception Dc 18 1 success needed.
Feel the pulse. Detect magic and an arcana dc 18
