Stelle stops gathering mummy debris as a thought occurs to her.

"Florence, could it be that the mask just wants that, and that it would be a bad thing possible to put that mask on the mummy?"

Stelle gathers up the shredded bits of Hakotep and assists the others.

"It's odd to me, that to stop the undead from -- undead regeneration? -- that we have to put his Ka ridden mask on him in his tomb."

Stelle can't quite see what is happening to HetKaoshu because Zilchus and the mummy are in the way, but she knows it can't last for much longer. She quietly takes advantage of Florence's proximity while lining herself up for another charge.

She takes a standard to:
Grant Zilchus and herself the ability to move up to their speed as an immediate action once.
Grant Florence, Chaosodile and HetKaoshu a +2 dodge bonus to AC for 1 round.
She can not reach Kosei with this Order ability.

HetKaoshu beams at his new mistress, and if HetKaoshu had lips, it would smile very very broadly to show everyone (who can see, anyway) all of its numerous impossibly sharp teeth. It whorls around to engage Hakotep, while slapping Green with its tail.

Then casually bites Hakotep as if he were a long awaited snack.

She has Anubis double move to the other side of the room over green, decends to 20', and summons the Hetkoshu next to Hakotep.

"Grapple that Hakotep mummy, keep him from using his hands, and thrash him to death. Have some fun."

"Well, I guess we take gifts through that archway," she points to the eastern archway, "... or crawl through this one. The floor here doesn't look trapped..."

"Unfurl your wings and seek the sky, Mighty Pharaoh!” Stelle says, reading the Pharoah's fluffy toy aloud. "Maybe he's not walking around, maybe he's flying around." Especially with this floor.

In response to Zilchus she offers, "The spears can wait, assuming this whole thing doesn't just crumble to dust once we're through with Hakotep.

This scarab does not say there are any Mummies about here... Can anyone guess at what the passphrase might be to move the block? Maybe we can just -- push it out of the way?"

She heads for the mysterious passphrase locked blocked passage.

And -- unless someone objects, Stelle positions herself and pops open the lid with her lance.

"Hm, maybe that is a good idea?" Statue 2 She dismounts to scoop some water into her hands while Anubis takes advantage to slake his own thirst. After a few seconds, she climbs back into the saddle. What am I thinking? For a second there it looked like liquid candy...

...

Stelle tries to dismount again at the third statue to get at the water, but Anubis resolutely makes his way past the 3rd statue foiling her attempt. She instead pulls a pint glass out of her Haversack and scoops some water into it to comply with the trap.

"Custard apple?" Stelle says, smacking her lips. "Is that what that is?"

Be advised -- these things like to sit on you, your computer, your books, your entertainment center, your paper -- really they just like to sit on whatever appears to have your interest that is not them!

"Whoa, nice job Florence!" Stelle exclaims as the walls disappear. "Though, that particular riddle seems tortured. So bad." And stupid. But maybe I just don't like riddles.

Stelle watches in complete surprise when the body of the Queen crumbles to dust. "Oh. Well. That was easier than I thought it would be... Anyone in need of a an octopus head?" she asks, eyeing the canopic jar.

Wait, what are canopic jars used for? "Which organ of hers do you think was the octopus head?"

Kosei wrote:
"Once we are back to Sothis, we must check with reliquaries and experts about the nature and function of the canopic jar" Then, it seems we go south to explore the chamber the queen came from.

"Do you think we can check out the other sarcophagus first, then maybe head to Wati? I could use a Restoration." She hangs her head in shame.

Stelle stabs into the Queen mummy's regenerating body with her lance.

After a moment she and Anubis lean against the door and she says. "You know, I don't feel great. We need to rest, maybe not in this strange room."

"The green sarcophagus appears to house Hakotep's wife Neferuset. Perhaps, judging what disembodied voices and epitaths might suggest, Hakotep's mummy may be to the south."

She leans slightly toward the pool as the waters ripple and shouts down the archway. "Do you kiss your wife with that mouth?! Geez -- did you even consider brushing your teeth and gargling with mouthwash before you died?"

"The mummy is to the south, past the archway over the pool. I was hoping to maybe find a lever or something to drain the pool past the secret door," says Stelle in all seriousness, frowning at the water.

"Or, maybe instead there's a bell we can use to summon some more ferrymen. Of course, the original pair would do also... If nothing else, we can just walk over the water and hope nothing pulls us in!"

Quoting Florence, she shudders. "'Thing' for a creature from that Tapestry? No, I don't have a good feeling about this."

"No, I think -- keep the jewels. After what just happened, returning them won't restore any sense of dignity they might have possessed," says Stelle, also following the tunnel south. "Otherwise, being dumb constructs up top, once triggered stopping their attack probably isn't on their list of instructions."

"Fall back into the secret corridor! If they choose to bottleneck up here, we'll take them out at this secret doorway on our way back!"
