I'll be here. The beauty of play by Post is that as long as I have interest in the campaign and players, time isn't as big of a factor. I like snappy quick roleplays, but that is solved just as easily by 'more'. So... you're good with me.

"What are they saying about the dragon, though..?"

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

"What a handsome dragon..."

"They are scaleless like you." Skyscale says in an agreeable tone.

Skyscale continues to watch his own memories playing back for a bit. "What are they saying, Ameo?"

Does it remind Skyscale a great deal of his own blinking and/or sleeping? XD Specifically, does Sky remember that in a Deja vu way?

"I'm good. I want the spinning again, though. The standing is boring."

If the above is true.

"Hey... that's my memory. Give it back..."

Datdum? Noooo! Not DatDum! Is that anything like data dump? Like backing up? Or is soundproofing about to happen..? Also, did Cali quit again?

I'm working off of the idea that everything being said that isn't directly to Skyscale is Gibberish. :)

"Wheeeeeeeeeeee" Skyscale says slowly... and somewhat calmly.

Even being pinned in place and spun slowly in a circle could not contain Skyscale!

"Oooohh... This is nice. A little to the left... ah. Yes... right there...." He says, exceedingly calmed from earlier. He looks slowly around the room while he spins. "I have done this... many times. Many times. Can we do it again when it stops? What is it saying?"

Skyscale floats quietly above the surface during the procedure. So that's how to get him to be quiet.

Sky follows, still curious about what it will do, and why... so he is somewhat reluctant to do so.

"And it will not rip me to pieces?" He looked to Calista. "Or is this for the gray-fuzzy?" He has returned to carrying his crate once more since they had to move across the room.

"Do you get hungry? How do you tell?" Sky looks to Korash. "I did not know that trees became hungry."

That's what I was thinking as well.

But there's also that Proclaimers song. You could have totally been going for that, too :>

After the machine says that Sky is spine-rip-free, and has no need to be disassembled, Sky seems to feel a lot better. He is still a little shaken, though, and not the mighty Dragon he was minutes before. It might have to do with the now-giant tree... Or the Psion that just touched his mind.

"We should find the thing and bring the four-arm fuzzy back to life. And maybe try to bring some of the bones back to life, if it can do that."

"And now it has made Korash into a mutant..."

Skyscale watches in horror as first Korash has his spine ripped out... and shoved back in. And then Ameo. "No. I think I will not. I think I will definitely not have the thing happen. You can do the 'scan' thing. And tell me if I will die if I keep them. Then we will talk about the being pinned in space and ripped apart. Or... no. Let's not talk about the thing. Skyscale backs away slightly.

And waht became of putting 4-armed gorilla on it..?

Also, I don't mean to not interact with Cali's ability. But Sky, in this particular instance... is a little cowed. And a lot more interested in the results of gorilla-on-a-table.

He'll probably ask to have his implants scanned but -not to tear him apart-. :P

Sky went from terrified by the whole process to -even more terrified- when Kalista entered his mind and barraged him with images... but that fear slowly became awe. All this... circling around my world. I never imagined... He pulls the 'lid' off of his crate, and puts it onto the machine, for it to scan it... and maybe fix him... Then he moves away from the machine to watch from a safe distance.

Skyscale begins to flip out as the thing starts carving her spine out of her body, remembering what he'd done to the previous creature when he tried to remove them. It didn't help that whatever she had told it was in a language he didn't speak.

"It's tearing apart! Free her!" He struggles to get his crate back off of his back, so he can remove her from the table, moving quickly to try to separate her from it.

Then it's shoving her back together.. And fixing the damage it had done. Skyscale drops onto his back launches and begins shaking a little as he watches, eyes wide.

Skyscale is not bickering! He is critiquing! :P His limited intelligence means that he's only able to grasp the surface of the problems people are talking about, and speaking from a highly simplified perspective. It's neat to be someone who doesn't question their -own- motives constantly, much less other's. :P

Skyscale bobs his head up and down. "Exactly! That is where the hungry part comes in. I won't eat anything that I think might be able to think, unless I am hungry. That is an excellent point, Ameo!"

"That varies, depending upon how hungry I am. I guess it is about whether or not I empathize with them. I will not eat a Skarrel that is paired, or that has Skirrels with it. I would view that as murder. But a singular Skarrel is fair game. Unless it is very cute. Killing another Dragon is also not okay. If it can think like me, it is not okay to kill it."

"Killing someone because you think they deserve it. As opposed to because it is tasty."

"So... everyone where you are from is guilty of murder, but you tell yourselves it is okay? That... is a strange way of seeing things." Sky makes a coughing sound. "Bad magic is so common where you are from that you have magic just to see if magic is bad?" Sky tilts his head, watching Ameo.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9

And... Skyscale has no idea he's casting a cantrip!

"So... your people... kill people... who kill people... to show people... that killing people... is wrong?" His head bobbed each way, with each ellipses, as he tried to figure out the puzzle. "Who kills the people who kill the people that killed people? And what happens to them?"

"So... the punishment for trying to kill myself, is you trying to kill me?" Skyscale asked, head turning askance. "And what is the penalty for killing another, or at least attempting it?"

"What is the punishment for eating the plant that kills you? If it does not work because you are too strong for it, I mean."

"They are like the thing that Korash told us not to touch that filled the hoard. But you eat it. And it makes the lights change colors and swim. I do not enjoy it. But because most people do, I would have to eat the Zarfles. That does not sound like a good way to create a society."

"That is a very strange punishment. Only some of my people are not harmed by fire, some are even harmed significantly more by it. That does not sound like a very fair punishment. What if a truly evil being was not harmed by fire, and you sent them there. They would be mean to all of the fire elementals and there would be nothing that they could do. Also, what if the minority does not like something that the majority likes. Like Zarfles? I do not like Zarfles, but most do. Would I be forced to partake in Zarfles in your home?"

Sky's people aren't exactly more nice. :P Sky just comes from an isolated pocket on his planet. Though, it's also true, that children are effectively never targeted except by true evil, and as a general rule, conflict is kept to singular dragons and perhaps their close friends. Greed is very much a problem for Sky's culture, though.

"But you just said that you've watched worlds destroy themselves. Is that not the same as killing? Is it not your duty to intervene and save what you can? Imagine that the skarrels were going to devour all of their foodstuffs. All of it, there would be no more. Sky apparently understood the concept of zero, so he has that going for him! "If I were to stand by and do nothing but watch the skarrels eat everything, until there is nothing left for them to eat, then watched them starve... that would be evil. There would even be no more skarrels to eat next year. That would be very bad, skarrels are tasty."

"Killing people is wrong, if you can help it. I cannot think of a time when it would be necessary to harm an egg-clutch. It is simply not acceptable. And to stand idly by and watch as others die is also evil. Surely there is more to it than 'We chose not to intervene'. You do not let a youngling walk off of a cliff before it can fly. He shakes his body enthusiastically.

"What is naive about not understanding why people do things they know are wrong? It seems so... impossible."

Autohypnosis bypasses that. She'll memorize what all these things said under the effects of the potion, then have two 'pictures' that overlap once all that changes. [TIS] will still be [TIS] to her memory, but in reality it will be replaced by [Æ] after the potion wears off. Therefore Æ = TIS.

Skyscale nodded slowly to that. "I suppose they do not." After a moment of watching Calista sit on the new bed, and start to -probably- fiddle with the controls (he was pretty sure that's why she was wiggling), he spoke up once more, "How does one teach mental stability?"

"Why would they only wish to harm others? What does one gain from that?"

"No, no. Not you. I know why you want the thing done. I meant Ameo. Why would people make permanent things that hurt people? That doesn't make any sense. Hurting people in the moment, because you need to is okay. But why would you make things that just hurt people to hurt people?"

Sky looked to Ameo, tilting his head. "Why?"

Skyscale collects his armor-flakes absentmindedly as he watches Calista climb aboard the machine.

But how was the porridge?

Sky flops off of the bed a few times... and then shakes his head. "The beds do not magically change my size. There must be another answer. Also... it needed more shiny things. Very uncomfortable."

Sky didn't touch the translation settings anymore, and clambered aboard the bed, hopefully not having wasted too much time. He was divinely curious about what it would do!

Sky looked to Ameo, then Calista, then to Korash, then back to Calista. He grumbled and whined in his native tongue. "I can't understand any of you..." he pouted, as he willed the egg-suit off, shaking his body like a dog trying to remove water. He took off the crate, and dug through it, finding two more egg suits, putting those on, and putting the 'broken' ones back into his hoard, as the others continued to discuss what to do. At least he could understand them, while he worked.

Weekends are slow. :P

What you call frustrating, I call amazing. Imagine all the pantomiming you can think of... then add dragon wings. BOOM.

You can racial trait out of it. Plus, with race builder, you can probably just -sell- it :)
