An idea that has been running in circles in my head. But when you work on a setting that could use such a class, you really wonder how it could work. The question is: would it be a Monk or a Gunslinger variant? And no, I don't have any rules to go with the idea since I am no crunch expert. Just opening discussion on how it could be done. I'm really not sure what class it would be an archetype of, Monk or Gunslinger?
There need to be MORE Mythic weaknesses. Such as 'Need to perform task X' ,'Cannot perform task X' and by extension 'Follow this code', which could include both. Don't forget 'Cannot consume substance X' and 'Spot X of the body is vulnerable'. How about something involving not giving your name/true name? A certain vulnerable heel (or back, in another case) and a ban on dog meat come to mind, aswell as cutting one's hair, don't you think?

The monk was also a class I had in mind when I asked about support for all classes, I just forgot to write him down in there.
Something I've been wondering ever since Mythic was announced, what about classes that don't have any Mythic Path that suit them? Now I get Archmage is for arcane, Hierophant is for divine and Champion for combat classes but what about the Alchemist? He's not arcane, he's not divine, he's not a fighter and he's not necessarily much of a trickster. I get that some classes got more than one obvious choices (Paladin, at first glance, for example works fine with Champion, Guardian or even potentially Hierophant). Heck I could see a Magus as a Champion, but I'm really left to wonder what an Alchemist could pick. Again, I have only glanced at the book so maybe I missed something. If I did, I apologize.
Allright, I need some help on how to run a stealth-based adventure. Despite beign a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, im a bit lacking in term of making adventures who don't rely on "beating the *beep* out of something". I never wrote an adventure where combat should be avoided at all cost. Basically, the players have been captured by Hobgoblins. They all awakel, chained to a wall. Then the BBEG comes, does some speech and everything (plot exposition, actually...but the PC won't realise it for now). Now the main idea is that they have to:
Anyway, im looking for tips and advices on how to properly run this kind of adventure. I also hapen to have monk in the group, so I was wondering if he would have an unfair advantage or not.
Im still working on the *cough* "squid-headed humanoid aberrations", the *cough* "floating head with lots of eyes" and the *cough* "flying brain with a beak". Yeah, those. Im actually considering re-building them from scratch to make them easier to use, since the first two have alot of abilities that rarely gets used. |
