Understood. Honestly, I love the idea of this game, but I feel like it needs a few other folks to really work. If you wanna come back in a few months, maybe pull in a few more players, I'm totally up for it. Best of luck

Skitter spends most of the flight listening to Roadblock. By the time they reach the air base, he's confident he could whip up a satisfying human meal. He has also digested the corpus of Hank Williams and something called "zydeco."
At the base, he trots over to the new vehicle to examine it (not bothering to transform). By the time Redshift is complete, he's already thought of multiple ways this earth vehicle could be upgraded to something truly amazing. So much to do, so little time.

"Ah, yes. No problem," says Skitter as he transforms into his quadrupedal form. He seems genuinely excited to take a look at whatever tech the Joes have acquired. Most of it is admittedly low tech, but quite creative given their limitations. With a few leaps, he bounds up the ramp of the plane and settles down in an unoccupied spot.

@Redshift: "Hmm, are you thinking about a hologram device? Or more of a light refraction field? I believe either would be possible, though I would need some time to tinker." He starts muttering to himself as he calculates rates of power drain, but snaps back to here and now when the humans speak up.

"Cobra? I'm afraid I don't... ah, all caps. Yes, I see now," Skitter says as he downloads relevant information. "I understand their desire for superior technology, but I fail to understand their basic motivation. Is it simply power for its own sake? Seems narrow-minded."

"If you have the schematics, I could probably set up the T-cog changes in a few cycl... I mean hours."

Skitter doesn't mind riding in a van. "Not sure what a pucky is, but it will be interesting to explore new smells." He twirls a gear on his wrist that whips out a blow-torch. "We could also go with oxy-acetylene if you prefer. But I think it might cause you to pass out."

Skitter shakes his head. "I'm afraid I would continue to 'stick out like a sore thumb.' That's a very curious expression. When your thumb pains you, why does it stick out? In any case, I do not have a vehicular alternate. Rather I have a quadrupedal form. I can demonstrate if you like." He had noticed that the humans seemed a little skittish about certain things and didn't want to cause her unnecessary fright by changing without warning.
With her permission, he transforms. "Based on my reading of popular culture, I believe I might be classified as a were-wolf." He grins showing large metallic teeth.

whoops, I was waiting for the GM to say more...

"No. It's... well, it's a bit complicated, but it can be done. And it isn't generally a painful process." He looks over to Red and back. "Do you have any suggestions?"

ok then, let's try it and see how it goes.

rats. I was hoping the others would come back too. the biggest problem is that we're lacking in firepower. will we even be feasible?

"That's part of what we're here for," Skitter says. "Nice to meet you."

Skitter whistles appreciatively as he inspects the damage. "This will take a little finesse. But you'll feel like a whole new bot."

"Don't worry, Redshift. Safety precautions aren't too onerous." Privately Skitter wonders if there's some convenient way to simply 'enhance' humans. I wonder if any of them would be interested in having a more resilient body. I may need to discuss this with the doctor later.

Hmph, as if I would be so clumsy. Skitter gets the scanner ready as indicated. "Relax. This won't hurt a bit," he chuckles as the straps attach to Sabre.

Cool. I was more or less winging it off the episode where the decepticons find Skyfire and in trying to activate him, first activate his memory circuits, and eventually get him out of stasis. Since all they used was differing amounts of energy, it stands to reason that if you are only trying to activate memory, you might over-juice it and activate complete functions

Considering the Decepticons have been active here for several years, it's actually pretty amazing the humans have trusted us at all.

"Doctor, perhaps you can fill our newly awakened allies with some details about this planet, its inhabitants, and their encounters with the Decepticons. We'll see if we can subsequently rattle some memories free from their experiences as well." He turns to Roadrage, saying, "You do not have to tell us everything about your history, of course. But any information the two of you can provide may enable us to more thoroughly reconstruct how you got here."

do either of them have any major repairs that need to be done?

Skitter shakes his head. "No... it is not. I understand your feelings, Sabre, I do. But these are the actions, or in-actions, that separate us from the 'cons." He looks over the other bots. "We don't have to bring them out of stasis. We can keep them on lockdown. But they will not be harmed." His face turns up to the much larger Sabre. "And if you want me to finish your repairs, that's the way it's gonna be."

He turns back to Red, having said his peace. "Accessing the memory is possible, but it involves activating certain circuits. I would... hesitate to do that. It would involve an infusion of energon that might bring them out of stasis. I don't think it's worth the risk at this point."

It takes Skitter a few cyclekals to access data on some of Dr. Winter's more obscure terms, particularly the 'enema.' But he can't help but laugh as soon as he does.
He holds up his hands, palms out, to Roadrage. Apparently, the 'rage' part is at least an apt description. "Easy, friend. No need to turn this into a scrap show. No one's gonna hurt you if you play nice." He chooses to omit that the organic is correct and that she has very little choice in this matter. He's also quite impressed at the ingenuity of the humans and the measures they have taken. They should not be underestimated.
"Let's all put our weapons down so we can talk like civilized sentients."

Skitter shakes his head sadly. "There are other Decepticons here. We have no idea how many. But, we have already encountered a few. It seems the humans have been plagued by them for some time prior to our awakening from stasis."

Skitter looks up in surprise. "If these two were on the ship with Prime, and they were preparing for a crash landing, it makes sense that Prime is somewhere on this planet as well!" He turns to the doctor. "Can you tell us more about this lava flow? And where it is?"

"Easy, big fella. We're here to help. And we aren't sure how long you've been in stasis." Skitter also holds up his hands showing he has nothing offensive on him. "It might help us help you if you can tell us anything you recall from before you went offline?"

Skitter responds over the private channel: I'm not entirely sure. You're probably right that you won't find one without the other. But I'm not sure that they feel the loyalty or affection that you might expect from an autobot. Still, I imagine he would be angered by not having access to a valuable asset.

"Sorry, I was lost in thought trying to figure something out."
Skitter steps closer and starts commenting on the bots. "I'm pretty sure this one is Talon. Obviously a Decepticon. Part of a group called the Predator Squadron. He's nothing but spare parts now. But he's what had me confused. What I can't understand is the level of decomposition? I saw him not 3 esscycles ago, and yet he looks like he's been oxidizing for much longer."
He nods after Ula's description of the second. "Ahh, that's right, Onslaught. I'm glad he's off-line. The less capable the Decepticons are of forming Bruticus, the better."
"I don't think I've ever seen this bot before, but he is marked as a slave. Hmm, I think I might be able to get him up and running. He might make a decent ally. Most of the slaves the Decepticons used were either Autobots or sympathizers, though they were just as happy to enslave anyone they could find."
"Laserbeak. I had hoped never to see him again." He turns to the doctor, noticing the confused look on her face. "Don't be fooled by his size. He's caused more problems for the Autobots than almost anyone."
Skitter speaks up for Sabre. "Now, now. Sabre might be a bit odd, but he's a solid warrior. He should be able to provide us with a little needed firepower."
"Doctor, can you tell us where you acquired these robots?" He steps back over to the first one. "Especially, this one." He turns back to look at her.
"Oh, and one more thing. Please don't let anyone mess with those Decepticons. The last thing we need is even more of them to worry about." He shakes his head. "With your permission, we can activate our allies here. I imagine they could give us an edge we'll need, seeing how many Decepticons are actually on Earth already."

Skitter steps back involuntarily. "By the spark!" The legal form makes a lot of sense now.

Skitter nods his assent. "They seem to be dealing in good faith. And we DO require help. I hesitate at us being attached to a military detail, merely because I have been studying a bit of Earth's history. It seems that some humans justifications for military action are... flimsy. But, the more allies we have to deal with Decepticons, and the more we can help THEM against the same threat, the safer this planet will be."

Hmm, I didn't realize we would be taking orders. Or sent on assignments.
"Agent Jones. Two questions off the top of my head. One, I would request permission from your superiors to allow us to repair our ship, at least to get it functional. Although Del'Tor doesn't feel pain, he is, in fact, sentient, and part of our crew. The better shape he is in, the better we can help.
Secondly, what is a nutjob? I can't decide if it sounds like a good thing or a bad thing."
I know we've made some repairs on Del'Tor but I think it would be prudent to do that with full permission so we aren't accused of something later on. Plus, with them adding supplies, I can really put some work in.

Skitter is impressed at the human female's analysis. She obviously knows her non-organics. "Wait here, Red. Ula and I will grab the parts."

Last thing we need is for him to pop a dorsal servo trying to help.

Skitter nods. "I can work under those parameters." He looks around at the others. "How bad are you?" As soon as he can get some parts, he'll start doing his best to make sure nobody, Del'Tor included, is going to lose their spark.

As Winters pulls out her scanner, Skitter activates his own internal scanner to scan her scanner, curious what sort of information it might convey. this is mostly RP, though he should be able to pick stuff up with his radio receivers and such
"I'm not sure I agree with you, Ula. The war took a pretty significant toll on the Autobot side. I've almost lost count of how many Cybertronians I've worked on."
Not really of course, but the humans seem fond of hyperbole.
"In a fight your very survival, neutrality isn't always an option."

Skitter was reluctant to leave Del'Tor, but allying with the humans seemed like a sure way of getting parts he required for major repairs.
"The properties of wormholes are...complicated. There's all sorts of ways they could have gotten here ahead of us. It's just as likely that they were simply revived before we were." Skitter takes a moment to consider. "It's also possible they arrived behind us, simply MUCH later in time, and they never required reactivation. We just don't know enough yet."

Skitter's snarky comment back to Del'Tor is cut off by the explosion. He manages to maintain his balance, more or less, as he tries to fix the primary power relay. "Don't die on me now," he murmurs, working at a frantic pace.

As much as Skitter would love to just jump out of a space ship and grapple with a missile, that only works in stories.

"Del'Tor! They're confused! See if you can shoot that incoming before it gets to us or take evasive action!"
"Chatterbox, Warhawk... are you able to intercept that incoming if it gets too close?"

Skitter completely stops what he's doing. "We have a traitor among us?" He seems somehow deflated. "So this deceptipunk is telling me that we've been blown half-way across the scrapping universe, to a planet with only organic lifeforms, except for the decepticons that somehow beat us here, and have already angered the natives, and now we have a turncoat with us? Even I can't figure those odds."

Pained though he is, Skitter is elated that Del'Tor has activated and seems to be acting in their favor. "All right, Del'Tor!" A welding torch pops out of his right arm as he re-orients himself and sets to work sealing hull breaches caused by the rapid acceleration.

can Skitter hack Del'Tor's directives?

Skitter tries to reason with the ship's computer.
I'm assuming that what he said above is not internal monologue
"Del'Tor, you mentioned protecting autobots and protecting decepticons. I'm sorry to say that those are mutually exclusive now. You cannot protect autobots without opposing decepticons because the decepticons are bent on enslaving or destroying all autobots. You must choose a side. Attempting neutrality means that you have sided with the decepticons destructive path by default."

Frustrated, Skitter asks, "Del'Tor, please open a channel to the organics. And raise the ship to the surface."

Assuming he can at least get the comm channel open, he says, "USS Flagg and allies: Decepticons are attacking! Please get your unprotected people to safety. We will do our best to help." I'm sure they've already thought of running for cover, but at least we can show we're on their side.

if the subs insist that the ship stays put, we'll deal with that when we get there. There's not much we can do underwater
