I know this is an old thread, but I haven't seen anyone comment on this. The Final Pass makes it quite clear that the only way to the Vale of Aroden is through the pass. Which is guarded by a powerful construct (the guthallath) programmed to let no one pass other than Aroden and others who share his aspects. This guardian was put in place millennia ago. Yet it is also assumed that pilgrims routinely passed through the pass to undertake the Trials of Aroden. More significantly, Sarvel led a large force through the pass. Yet the guardian remains. With no means of rebuilding itself. So how are the xulgath in the vale? How did the uncle's friend (Diobel rumor 6) get into the vale to report on the statues or complete a trial?

The guthallath is a cool creature, but its presence in the pass is very problematic from a story logic perspective.

My players jumped on the default, Children of Westcrown, aka COW. As a result there's been a large number of bovine jokes, black and white outfits, mooing as a secret signal, etc. At least they're having fun.

1) Do you plan to convert to the new edition of D&D?

No - My group has settled on Monte Cook's Arcana Evolved as our 4th Edition. I will likely pick up the 4th Ed books to mine for ideas, but that is about it.

2) If Paizo converts its RPG products to 4.0, how will that affect your purchasing patterns for our products?

It depends on how easy it is to convert. I use the Pathfinder modules almost as is, with races, classes, magic, etc. converted to Arcana Evolved. If this remains easy to do and stories remain engaging, then I will likely continue to purchase.

3) If Paizo does not convert its RPG products to 4.0, how will that affect your purchasing patterns for our products?

This is an even easier yes, as I already know that conversion is fairly easy.
