Are gods the same as on Golarion ?

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I'd take over, but have more than my hands full with a WoD campaign right now.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

'Tis the curse of the River Kingdoms. I'm out. I'll hope to see you again in another campaign someday.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Last post in our group (frontier Kingdom) was on Monday). Dunno about the other groups.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

The "fluff" for me going Thunder Caller would be:
-picking up a few tricks from Aldarion
-"going native"to a certain extent

as for the Battle Herald, the PRC has a certain ability called "easy march". I hope it will have some use, at least in this AP.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I'd like to take the Thunder Caller archetype as a Bard. I'd lose Bardic Knowledge.
Arcane Duelist loses Inspire Courage, needed for Battle Herald.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

True that. You know our modifiers.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
Egon starts praying "I am the Hand of the Law..."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Forgot that surprise round was one action only. Consider the attack my first normal turn

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Egon moves through the stable doors. He will attempt to attack an entangled enemy. If one can not be reached (without provoking AoO's). If nonot possible, he will attempt to attack an unentangled enemy.

"Cowards" he growls.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Aldarion seems to be most fitted for springing the trap. DM, do you want us to ready actions or not ?

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Hiding in the stables. I assume that the stable door is ajar enough so that I don't have to squeeze as I come through the door. I will stay fully hidden until I hear Aldarion's spell going off, which means I cannot see what is going on until that point.

If someone escapes on horseback the snipers could consider firing a ballista at their horse.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

How do I edit this thing ? Also, does the stable have windows or not ?

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I like Aldarion's idea, but it may require some Sense Motive, Diplomacy, and the Paladin's expertise to see who's too evil to redeem.

Maybe we can even turn a few into conscripts or loyal soldiers.

Would it be cruel or practical to store them in there ;) Let's ask Oleg.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

"Galu-aur, Aldarion." Then, switching to Common: "I hope that they are smart bandits. More of a challenge, and better to reason with. And yes, we should ask that. I'd also like to see if we could interrogate the bandits before going to their camp, to get information about their numbers and defenses. We'd also need to ask Oleg about the maximum amount of prisoners he can keep in the outpost.

Ah, sometimes I get too obsessed about tactical possibilities."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Egon rises more than an hour before dawn. He offers a prayer to Pharasma, and then joins Aldarion on the walkways, covering the eastern horizoh.

speak elvish:
"Why do you think they will come from the south"?

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

We can timeskip the gathering of the thorny bushes if nothing interesting happens.
In battle I'll just be on foot, our "snipers" can put holes in anyone who tries to escape. Between the entanglement and our ranged attackers, I don't htink we should waste time closing the gate.

After Egon has slept, he'll hide in the stable, assuming the ambush area is A1 and not the area directly behind the gate.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

@Enora: See Oleg's on page 1 of the gameplay thread. It's a link to a map.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

"You can count on me Let's take the horses, so we'll be back soon."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Sir Egon frowns. After the bandits are dealt with, he will expect apologies from the man, or, failing that, strive to have him replaced.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

"Be careful, Aldarion. A lot of turned earth in the yard could arouse suspicion."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I'd prefer the entanglement.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I'd like to attack the bandits on horseback, but don't know whether I would get in the way of the other players since it's a Large animal.

Thoughts ?

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I'm considering challenging this man to a non-lethal duel, to bash some sense into him, and because he insulted us.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Egon grins. "How shall we deal with them ? Take them prisoner, or enact capital punishment ? I prefer the first. Some of them may still be redeemable."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

For the Dwarf-speaking people, if they want it.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Egon's mood sours. He would like to ask more questions, but he can''t refuse an invitation from a lady, especially not one who is his host.

The change in his mood is not easy to miss

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Egon turns to the lady "Yes, we are. You seem stressed. Is something wrong ?"

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

I agree that the gunslinger rules are not perfectly clear about the requirements for creating gunpowder.

If you're going for details, you can put in your gear: x lbs of sulfur, charcoal, and potassium nitrate", I think.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Sir Egon smiles. This kind of dark humor is common amongst his Order.

Speak Elvish:
"Maybe this is not the best audience, Master Aldarion".

He mounts his horse and takes up position besides the caravan.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Sir Egon frowns at the sight of the newcomer's scrutiny of the party and the cravan.

Aldarion:
The knight is pleasantly surprised by your professional attitude. You feel that his attitude towards you has become friendlier.

"Well met. We have a lotof work ahead of us. There's a large garden with a lot of "weeds" to pull out."

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

It will be interesting to see if Kingmaker has decision paths that can affect our alignment or that of the Kingdom.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

A tall amn with regal features turns at the mention of the charter.
" I am Sir Egon, vassal of House Orlovsky. My Order is in service to the Lady of Graves.

He shakes the dwarf's hand. Your sharp eyes will come in handy at night, Dolgan. I wish we had more like you. .

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Does the caravan have its own protection( guards and such ?)

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Marshal ? Sure.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

NG is fine with me.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Shall we pick our Kingdom's starting alignement while we wait for Dredd?
Seems like we are leaning towards LG. Which is fine by me. (We have a lot of Lawful and Good alignments in this group).

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

@Katataban: What day will we be starting ? This gives me a indication when I should start watching the campaign more closely.

Healing wont be an issue once we can grab a wand of CLW and I think Aldarion is a druid, so that will also help in a pinch.

Besides, with a gunslinger, zen archer monk and divine hunter paladin most enemies wont even have the chance to get into melee range.

I intend to get into theirs, and with a +4 int mod I might well do it before the barrage begins. I'll delay if needed, to prevent penalties from shooting into melee.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

You can never have enough animal companions ;). If the banner and rallying cry abilities would also work for the peasants, Battle Herald would be the logical choice, but I fear it doesn't work that way.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Or Life Oracle to Holy Vindicator. Good advice, anyway.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

We'll have to see if we can get a cohort capable of arcane magic if we need it. As for the typically arcane skills, I think we can come to an agreement who will invest in what.

Keeping five people healthy is a lot of work for one paladin, so my next level will be cleric. Might be an Evangelist, as I'm not that impressed by Channel Energy.

M Human Paladin (sacred servant) 1

Ah, A fellow warrior for the Good cause. I think we are going to get along quite well.

Sir Egon is ready for battle

Oh, and welcome to the forums! I hope you will like it here.

"This chaos in my homeland cannot go unchecked any longer. Order must be restored, And am I, as a noble, not among the most fit to rule ?".

Introducing Sir Egon d'Clausanne, a scythe-wielding Cavalier. He intends to rise to power and extend his family's influence- and that of the Orlovskys over the land. (The d'Clausannes are vassals of the Orlovskys.)

background:

Egon's birth was a difficult one. Without the help of a unsusually skilled midwife, both he and his mother would have died that night. But the mysterious woman, staying by the bedside of Lady 'd Clausanne for several days, ensured that both mother and child would survive the birth.
As the son of Rivernobles, the boy had a luxurious childhood, but at the same time, was put through a demanding regimen of training and study. The Duke wants his son to become a great knight, the envy of the other noble houses.

During his time as a squire, Egon served a Cavalier of the Order of the Sword. This knight fought with a zeal and determination that put even some paladins to shame, and Egon decided that he would follow in the footsteps of his master.

Unlike the other Cavaliers of his order, he is not sworn to a mortal liege, but to a distant and immortal lady: Pharasma, the Mother of Souls

party role:

Sir Egon is a tank and damage dealer. Later on, he can become one of the diplomats of the party, negotiating with either humans or fey.

I'd upgrade the damage for all crossbows one step.
As for myself, my melee character has an crossbow for underwater combat. Caster characters usually have one too for backup and creatures with SR.

Sir Egon 'd Clausanne will apply. A haughty but fair Ustalavan knight,
he will hold the line for his comrades-in-arms and lead them to victory.

Nelith is one of my aliases, I wanted to post as Egon, but had the wrong alias set. You can scrap Egon from the list.
