She's quite... Unskilled at talking to people. I like to justify having Charisma as a dump-stat because she sacrificed her people skills in exchange for pursuit of knowledge and fighting skills. You know that kid in high school, the one who always sits alone and never talks to anyone, always studying? That's basically her. I did once play a character with a Charisma of 5 who WAS incredibly ugly as a result of it, though.
Well, here she is: (Btw, I hope it doesn't matter that I copy-pasted the basic sheet from someone else)

She has short-cut black hair, a military style. Her eyes are a hazel color, and often bloodshot from lack of sleep. She is studious, quiet, and spends most of her time training, either with her Soul-blade or gathering more knowledge. She firmly believes that the path to enlightenment is enriching both the mind as well as the body, and not just one in exchange for the other. She often replies to attempts at conversation with one-word answers, then resumes her studies. She is also arrogant, believing herself better than both those who focus on physical prowess alone, as well as those who focus on mental prowess alone. But, at heart, she is a good person, who respects authority and cares about others. Background: She grew up in a very diverse town, full of everything from Dwarves to Catfolk. Unfortunately, there were not very many elves there, and so, she was bullied. She also had little to no friends, due to how much slower she grew up compared to the other, shorter lived races. Due to the bullying of her peers throughout her life, she decided to become better than them, both in body and mind. She trained to become stronger and smarter than all the rest of her classmates, and mostly succeeded. But the bullying never stopped. She never retaliated, though, as it was not in her nature. After she graduated, she traveled across the land, and eventually discovered her latent psychic ability for creating a Soulblade.
I have someone who is experienced with RPGs helping me with the story and such. And about the Willsaves and Perception thing, I kinda figured that. And I've already done one session, with the adventure included in the Beginner Box, and everyone had a lot of fun. Is it a bad idea for me to have a character in the game too? |
