TL;DR

Serrin can have social skills as a 4th/5th block class.

I kind of picture Shiro's class as something you can just be in for as long as you need to, and then transfer to other classes. So, maybe Serrin can just have one of her classes be the part of Shiro's class that covers social skills?

His class happens in the same units of time as regular classes, and the blocks of time are subjects. English/Language, History/Science, Math, and Social Skills. He doesn't have a last block, because that's when he does psychologist work. Students have an elective class during that block.

Do we have six blocks? If we do, pull history and science into two classes. If there's five, history and science alternate.

I have a class for that.

Shiro teaches the psychology in last block while the remedial Classes have electives.
Outside of that he spends every block teaching remedial classes with a couple students.

Well, it's lunch, so it is for now.
Until after lunch...

Shiro takes lunch in his office, which is conjoined to his classroom by a sliding door in the back of his room.
Whether the rooms were actually conjoined is dubious at best, but he's long stopped worrying about the strange dimensions the school takes.
His class started with basic reading and simple math was planned for after lunch followed by last period for the elective of the day.
His lunch consists of several pounds of bamboo and a cup of coffee.

I am willing to fail you to make this happen. :P

"And now, we will begin our first lesson. This is called sociology. But, that is the big science word for it. For now, we'll call it etiquette..."
He starts on his first lesson about interactions, what's proper and a beginning of why some things make people uncomfortable.
At this point, this is where my inexperience in this field and my regrettable discomfort interacting with people less experienced than myself gets in the way of portraying a character well and accurately. I suppose we can call this a fade to class?

"You have certainly learned and been taught well, but it is very inappropriate to display one's undergarments in public."
He says evenly, clearly neither flustered nor amused by the display. A pinnacle of restraint, this panda.

He nods his head and shoulders in a short bow to her as well.

"Very good. Is your friend set up with something to do while you're in classes?"

"Alright class. Now, this was just to see where we need to start. There won't be grades in this class. You'll be told how you are doing on our projects and assignments, but the goal here isn't to just tell you what you're doing, the goal is for us to work together for you to be the best you can be."
He relates this in friendly and positive tones.
"Now, you seem to know each other, but now I don't know you, so I would like for you all to take a turn and introduce yourself and say something interesting about yourself."
He looks across his students.
"Who would like to go first?"

"Good to see you came to class. Next we can work on being on time to the class. Now, if you would take a seat, we can begin. Am I correct in guessing that you are Ms.Rena?"
After the confirmation, he produces a sheet of paper.
"Now, I'm going to ask you all about several school subjects. This will help me to know what we need to go over in this class. Once I know this, I will start real lessons tomorrow. Before lunch we will have lessons and then after, we'll explore other classes like music and art, to see what you may be interested in when you move on to the full school courses. If you think you know an answer, just raise a hand. First is mathematics..."
He will go on to asks questions about various subjects. Math, science, history, biology, magic, etc. Every once in a while, in place of a question, he gestures to a poster or object to be identified.

Shiro had been thinking over the possible responses to the two's troubles. Trying to work out his answer and then their responses, several steps in advance.
Getting lost in that, he is interrupted by a knock at the door.
He nods to Asha.
"By all means, do."
He smiles.

"Well, in that case, we'll stay and wait for a while longer for anyone who will show up."
He takes a seat at his desk.
"Please, do have a seat. Do either of you have something you'd like to do while we wait? Maybe you could tell me about yourselves?"

"It's good to meet both of you."
He smiles warmly.
"Now, we were going to do a little test to see where we need to start, but it seems quite a few of my students aren't here. Perhaps we should go find them? Or would you rather wait a bit longer before we do that? Give them a chance to arrive on their own?"
He offers the choice to both Asha and Pyry, seeing if they were more forgiving or go getter types.

Shiro gives a short, good natured chuckle at the rather unhelpful question.
"If you are looking for the remedial elementary class, then yes. You may have been expecting Headmistress Blackscales, but with the need of more than a few students, I volunteered to teach a full class. My name is Shirokouruma-Sensei, but you can just call me Mr.Shiro. And what are your names?"
The panda man seems to be mostly smiles. He does speak in a deeper male voice with an accent Asha doesn't recognize, but is still easy to understand.
He wears a simple brown outfit.
The class itself is warmly lit, and has about 12 'desks.' The desks are much shorter than normal and have cushions on the floor in place of a chair. Each one comes with an Avalon standard notebook and pen in the green and white motif of the school.
Stray posters are neatly hung on the wall and the alphabets and numbers of various languages line the walls near the ceiling around the room.
The vague and pleasant sent of a wooded forest is ever so slightly present if you focus on it.

Shiro prepares a small test for his remedial students, having been told of his new class the night before.
Just before class he pins up various posters around the room with simple math and language, etc, easily visible from any desk in the room.

Shiro could teach remedial classes. Not to actual elementary students, but to the ones in need of beginner schooling.
Dealing with lack of social skills is something that could easily be incorporated into classes by a psychologist.

"Thank you."
With a smile and nod, the panda bear goes back to his office to fill out the flattened forest of paperwork from all the new appointments after yesterday.

Morrivan wasn't ready to be worked with, and pushing this can be worse than not often.

"OK now. I'm going to let you be for now. Just remember that there are people that care about. I know how people feel it's my job."
He stands and leaves the room.
He calls over a nurse.
"She isn't willing to cooperate right now. I'm scheduling appointments twice a day. Keep her on watch and don't give her anything she could hurt herself with. Once she has a little time, she may open up more. Only time will tell. Magic or etcetera needs to be the last fail safe with this. If we know anyone we think can help, contacting them to come talk to her may help. I do believe she can be remedied, but it will take time. Contact me if her condition worsens."
He writes this out on his notepad, and hands it to the nurse.
That's what I figured. Glad we're on the same page. :)

"OK... OK..."
He allows her a moment to calm down before he continues.
You can drop some pro tips the master psychologist would know that I don't whenever you feel like.

"But it does matter. What do you think these people that you want to be here would think if they saw you this way? Do you think they would like to see you this way? Would you stay like this, if you knew it hurt them to see you so sad over them? It isn't doing you or them any good to be this way. You know they do care about you, even if they can't show you right now. It /would/ do both of you good, to know that the sooner you accept this and move past it, the more happy all of you will be. And you do want them to be happy, even if you don't yourself, don't you?"

He takes a seat and waits for a moment as she sits silently.
"From what I know, it sounds like you feel like you don't have anyone here for you with everything that's happened. I speak for all of us when I say that it isn't anything you did. The past few days have been very hard on everyone, and I'm sure that it isn't for lack of trying that they can't help you with this. Everyone is very busy trying to recover after all that's happened. I am here to help you. But if we're going to get anywhere, I'm going to need you to be part of this."

Shiro nods.
"That's all I needed to know. Thank you."
With that he goes to her room.
He gently goes in and closes the door behind him.
"Hello Ms.Morrivan.* I'm here to help you. And I've brought you something you might like too."
The gentle presence enters the room and sets the tray down within arm's reach of her.
"Now, we're going to get you feeling better together, OK? Would you like to say anything to start?"
I've never seen Morrivan's last name. If she has one she's comfortable with, he uses it instead of Morrivan.

"OK. That should be good to know. Thank you. If there's nothing else I should know, I'll start now. Has the sedative I was told of worn off by now? While I appreciate your trying to assist, please leave the medication to the infirmary staff, from now on."
He says this in a way that couldn't be construed as condemnation. Only a gentle request. A trick of the trade most likely.

The black and white councilor steps up from behind Nurse Julie.
"Thank you Ma'am. That's one less thing for me to ask."
In one paw, he holds a dish of whatever happens to be Morrivan's favorite dessert.

Don't know how psychologically sound this is, but food seems to be a decent way to get teenagers to open up a little. I know I'd tell you anything after a sleeve of Jamie Dodgers.
There is a pen shaped like a bamboo shoot behind his ear and a matching notepad in his other paw.
"Is there anything else that might be significant to this? How had she been leading up to yesterday? Is there anything that might have made her more vulnerable to this happening?"

Do feel free to pm me conclusions we need to reach. While I feel I would be good at it, and getting highest class grade in thecourse for it, I'm not a trained psychologist. Shiro is better at his job than I am.
I'm good with working meta and in game together/apart, so it can be at any point and work interaction to where it needs to end. :)

I'll give it just a bit for people to catch up with. Or until they decide to wait for him. Whichever comes first.

"Any time." He smiles as Gareth leaves.
It was always nice when a student had a problem that didn't need intense sessioning to solve...

"Makes enough sense I suppose. Off you go then, very important and all that. Don't worry about the tea. I'll clean up."

"It doesn't mean you're dumb, Gareth-kun, you simply could not find the tree, for looking at the forest."
He smiles in a wise man type way and takes a sip from his tea.
"If you would like to look now, I won't keep you, but, if I may ask, why is it so important that you find these objects?"

"Have you tried finding this place on a map? Maybe it isn't nearby enough to recognize? You can probably find any map you need in the library."

"So you're just not quite getting what it's saying. Perhaps if you just give yourself some time it will come to you then. Maybe you're trying too hard."

"Hmm. Read me a passage that you think you're not understanding."
He sits back and watches him with interest.

"Does your writer use literary devices much? Perhaps you are interpreting something literally when it's a metaphor or the other way around." He offers.

"Maybe part of the book could be missing? Where did you get the book at?"
He takes a long sip of his tea.

"OK. What part are you missing it in? Try and explain this as well as you can so I know what we're working with."

"OK, so it's a new power and you don't know how to use it yet, then?"
He pours the two cups of tea and sets one next to him on the table.

"OK, then Gareth-san. Could you explain this a little more. You said this book talks about 5 things and you found one. So this book is nonfiction and talks about real things. Or is it a mystery book and you just don't quite understand it?"
He doesn't seem to ever be in a rush to do anything, speaking slowly, moving slowly.

"Good. Now. Let's start with simple things. I am Shiro-Sensei. What is your name?"
He sets two cups and the teapot on the table as he sits down on his cushion.

"Ooh. A puzzle. I like puzzles. Go ahead and take a seat. Would you like some tea?"
He stands up and goes over to a tea pot on a small stove and begins brewing green tea.

He hears a man's voice call "it's open," from inside the room.
He opens the door to a low lit room. There is what looks to be a semi anthropomorphic panda sitting on a cushion with his feat together at a desk with several other cushions.
He wears simple brown clothes and a pleasant demeanor.
"Hello there! Come in, come in! What can I help you with?" He says cheerfully.

I was offering a teacher to Gareth, Foul wanted in on it. It went on from there.
You can post for your character that finished in my office. Or reviarti. Either or both.

Gareth's search leads him to a door labeled "Guidance."

He nods. "Ah. There it is. I was beginning to wonder about your priorities." He says with a laugh, obviously liking food quite a bit himself judging by his build. "Yes. Food is supplied free of charge in the cafeteria. Three meals are served a day, but they remain open and stocked with other things 24/7. If you like to cook yourself, they allow students to sign up for times, though I've heard from a few who like to keep a kitchenette in their room."
