I just sent an email to customer service to cancel all my subscriptions and right after sent a follow up email to Jeff Alvarez, Lisa Stevens and Erik Mona letting them know.

Hopefully, they will realize they stand to lose many long-time fans and customers like myself (yeah, I waited on that super-long line at Gen Con back when Pathfinder 1st edition was released) unless they recognize the union.

Wishing all the employees of Paizo the best, and I hope my actions will help make a difference.

Where is the map from the cover? Unless I'm missing something, that's not shown anywhere on any of the sample images.

The first side looks great! The second? Nope...what is that blue weirdness? Are those clouds, or gas? Not liking it much, sorry.

This was fantastic!! Check out my pics of this flip mat combined with cave chambers and cave tunnels, some wet erase to make everything line up and some cave decorations...viola, an awesome scenario!! :)))

They have a gargantuan plastic miniature for nearly every adventure path; they also include them in the paper miniatures (when they do make these, seems like they're hit or miss).

Since a gargantuan creature appears in each adventure path, and they are part of the game, it makes no sense that they don't include them for the pawns also. I'm sure that if demand were high enough, they would figure out a way to produce them.

Add me to the list also.

So glad I'm a subscriber...the covers so far look beautiful and mysterious...I think these would work great for a Numenera campaign!!

I just received mine and I think this is a really well done map. I especially like that it links with the sewer map pack and the Watchpost, and I'm glad to hear that this trend (of linking maps) will continue. Its one of the main reasons I renewed my subscription to Pathfinder maps!

They will fit swell in the large Bestiary Box. This product is technically an extension of that one, which has all the bases anyway. Of course, you could skip that product, buy bases separately (once we figure out the costs), and keep them in a shoebox, as you suggest. :)

No bases other than the ones that I choose to buy is perfect for me. I'll be looking for some kind of multi-compartment craft box within which I can store them alphabetically. Or maybe I'll subdivide the BB with cardboard strips.

Any chance of sets of labels for conditions (dazed, etc.), with Post-it style adhesive on so they can be reused, to go on to the bases or pawns? Then back onto the card that they came on for storage?

If you live near a Staples check out their "really useful box" line of storage containers...they are plastic with snap down handles to hold the top in place and offer way more protection that a cardboard shoebox. They come in various sizes too. I've been using them to store my plastic minis but will also use for my pawns as well.

If you want to cover everything exactly right, with named characters marked out appropriately, yes. There will probably be good proxies for most everything in the Bestiary Box though, and the NPC Codex pawns in October should cover all needed humanoid stuff pretty well.

Yeah thats what I thought...it's too bad that just one format doesn't cover everything, and it's more of a mix and match...but I guess it's better than having no choices at all, lol.

Yeah Im ordering it because the prices for the pre-painted minis are just too high...when it comes down to making my mortgage payment, or buying a case of minis...well there really is no choice there, lol.

So my question is if I’m using pawns to run the adventure path, will I need to supplement certain monsters with either the plastic or paper? Thanks Sean...I feel the same way! I'm so excited about it it has been on my mind since Sunday and I had to post something.

I hope others have similar stories to share I'd love to hear them!

A really nice testimonial on the Beginner Box: my nephew Cory is 15 years old and was diagnosed many years as "mostly normal but with autistic tendencies". Over the years, he has mostly retreated into his own world and has become obsessed with video games. He is also very socially withdrawn.

Despite this, I decided to give him the Pathfinder Beginner Box for Christmas. My family believed I had made a poor choice for a gift; he never expressed any interest in any game if it wasn’t a video game.

But I had faith, along with the desire to try. I reasoned that even if he showed a glimmer of interest (which was all I realistically expected) it was a start in a new direction. All I wanted to do was plant the seed and hope for growth.

So on Christmas day he opened my gift, along with the many others he received that morning. At first, he really didn’t respond to it either one way or another; he looked at it briefly, then put it aside and continued to open his remaining gifts. And for the rest of Christmas day, it remained where he had left it, untouched and with the shrink wrap securely in place.

With a gentle nudge, I tried to steer him towards it and at least open the box and look at the contents, without success. His video game/Ipod related stuff took precedent. I was disappointed to be sure, but decided to let him be and hopefully he would discover it on his own. But honestly, after this reaction I didn’t hold out much hope.

Fast forward 10 days later, and I’m now down south on vacation. I hear my phone ring in the other room, and go to see who called. It was quite a monumental surprise to me when I played back my voicemail and listened as my nephew asked me “when are you coming home? I want to play this game with the monsters”.

So this past Sunday morning my nephew and I played thru a basic scenario I created for him, a simple one-on-one adventure, and he experienced role playing for the first time and really enjoyed it! Better still…he wants to play again!

Thank you Paizo…it is really a dream come true to be able to roleplay with him…something that I truly believed would never happen considering how introverted he had become; I’m simply amazed and thrilled and I have the Beginner Box to thank for it!

Erik, would that include dragons up to colossal in size, with bases to match? I would imagine that would be one really big pawn!

No matter what, this will be a must buy for me!
