so, the description says:

Quote:

Effect: Wall of whirling blades up to 20 ft. long/level, or a ringed wall of whirling blades with a radius of up to 5 ft. per two levels; either form is 20 ft. high

An immobile, vertical curtain of whirling blades shaped of pure force springs into existence. Any Creature passing through the wall takes 1d6 points of Damage per Caster Level (maximum 15d6), with a Reflex save for half Damage.

If you evoke the barrier so that it appears where creatures are, each Creature takes Damage as if passing through the wall. Each such Creature can avoid the wall (ending up on the side of its choice) and thus take no Damage by making a successful Reflex save.

My DM is making it a shaped wall to catch the most players in the wall, but my brain keeps stuttering over the difference between a "wall" and a "zig-zagging line". I'm not finding anything that specifically calls out that walls are straight lines, but every post I've read seems to assume that that's just what a wall is. Thoughts?

My husband pointed out that there are no creatures of less than one hit die in the PRD, but the rules for Wounds & Vigor say:

Quote:
Creatures with one or more full Hit Dice or levels gain vigor points... A creature with less than one Hit Die has no vigor points; it only has wound points.

What are we missing?

As I'm reading it, the "Goblin Warrior" (a CR 1/3) entry in the PRD bestiary would go from having 6 HP to having 24 Wounds and a d10 of Vigor because of the NPC Warrior class. A level 1 fighter, on the other hand, would have roughly equivalent Wound pool and 10 Vigor points, which makes for a significant increase in the Goblin's danger, seeing as it's far less likely to drop before it does damage to the fighter.

Is this intentional?

Does the spell "Reloading Hands" negate the reload time for crossbows?

Quote:

Reloading Hands Spell description

Level: magus 2, ranger 2, sorcerer/wizard 2
Target: projectile weapon touched
Duration: 1 round/caster level (D)

Once per round, phantom hands load a single ranged weapon or firearm with conjured ammunition. This ammunition counts as magical for overcoming damage reduction and attacking incorporeal creatures, but is the standard for its type (a normal bullet or pellets and black powder in the case of firearms). Conjured ammunition ceases to exist 1 round after it is removed from the weapon, or at the end of the duration, whichever comes first.

Quote:

Weapons section of Ult. Equipment (used a browser search for "Crossbow")

crossbows and slings require an action for reloading (as noted in their descriptions).

I am inclined to say "Yes" because it's a 2nd level spell, and add that while the spell is handling the reloading, there's no Attack of Opportunity provocation for reloading, but firing while threatened still provokes AoOs.

Is that reasonable? Any thing I else I should be taking into consideration?

Thanks for your thoughts!

We're running into an interesting situ in game tonight and I'm looking for other folks opinions.

1. Does Countersong counter the Suggestion spell?
2. Can Telepathic Bond be used to communicate Inspire Courage?
