Looking at running this one for a group, and have just skimmed the book. I'm curious as to whether it's assumed the PCs are walking around with weapons and armor or what. Seems a bit odd in a school, but plenty of the encounters seem to be "you're going about your day and suddenly gremlins pop out!", which would suggest that it's assumed the PCs are equipped, but if they aren't it would mean that something like a sorcerer or oracle would be vastly more useful/prepared for something like this than, say, a fighter.

Are the rest of you just kind of not worrying about it and assuming they carry all their gear? Is it addressed in the book somewhere and I just haven't noticed yet? It is actually a case of "sorry you chose to specialize in the arquebus, guess you'll be useful in the adventuring parts of the adventure a book or two in"?

Looking to convert my group to 2E after they finish Deathbower. New to 2E, so I'm curious whether the conversion seeming (in the first book) to have many fewer magic items, and weaker ones, than the original is a 2E thing or if you were just playing things conservatively with translating the loot?

Speaking of loot, do you plan to do second loot pass when Treasure Vault releases in a few days, or are you happy with most of the replacements you chose?

Also, great work, this looks like it was a crazy amount of effort and will be immensely helpful.

Is travel is a Ravener, which is a template to make a dragon undead. They lose their spells per day, and instead gain a sort of mana pool that is basically soul fuel. They can cast any spell known as long as they can spend the required soul points that the spell level costs. This is a cool system that gives you more flexibility on how to allocate your spells. The template will spell out the specifics better.

Ohhh, my bad. I had only briefly glanced over the Ravener entry. Apologies, Paizowriters, for thinking you had made a mistake. Makes much more sense now.

Good luck to your party :)

They're still in Roslar's Tomb, I was just looking ahead. ;)

One of the characters is a crossblooded Draconic/Undead Bloodrager. He didn't know his family, just has a pendant of a black dragon scale and a letter from his birthmother that was 95% smudged but he could make out the name "Istravek" in the message, so he's going to be in for a surprise regarding his lineage.

He can cast all listed spells once. They are the spells he has prepared. That is one 8th level spell, two 7th level, three 6th level, four 5th and 4th and five 3rd, 2nd, 1st level spells.

But he's a sorcerer, he doesn't prepare spells...right?

Though I do now notice it lists his CL as 16th level for those spells. Should I just reference that on the Sorcerer spells/day table and then add extras for his high Charisma?

Yeah, there are a plethora of ways to add extra natural attacks... so I wouldn't worry too much about that falling behind. Honestly, I am surprised that they didn't already start as a race with easy access to a bite attack.

My number one advice to them would be to take Steadfast Personality or Iron Will before they forget to, so they don't end up killing their friends...

He started as a human because the idea of being a part dragon part undead part frog person (or whatever) was just starting to feel absurd.

Draconic Bloodragers shapeshift into dragons when they get their higher-level bloodline powers, monsters that inherently have 6 natural attacks.

I think, as far as number of attacks per turn, the PC should be fine.

Ah, fair.

I guess it'll just be a little awkward between 12 and 16, when the other melee character has three attacks while the Bloodrager gets two. At least they're both at highest BAB, though.

Have a player making a Draconic Bloodrager with focus on clawing things to death, in this Tyrant's Grasp campaign I'm starting. Looks good to start, but I want to turn an eye towards making sure it doesn't fall super behind once the others are getting multiple attacks due to their BAB having iterative attacks.

Any advice on keeping relevant in later levels?

Note that Archetype suggestions won't really help, as he's doing Crossblooded to get some Undead into the mix, getting Ghost Touch claws and maybe some other stuff at some point. Mostly a style pick for the campaign and his character background.
