"Aye, cap'n, sounds good to me." Sarge finishes sharpening his Falchion and sheathes it, makes sure the +1 mace they've found is on his belt, and goes with Steave to walk slowly and quietly through the dark halls of the mansion.
"A fire would be very nice to have, I'm a little sick of eating cold jerky from rations," Sarge opines. "I don't have the trick of seeing in the dark, but my eyes are pretty sharp. I'll take whatever watch is needed."
After Horgus leaves, Sarge mutters to the others, "Sometimes when ya spend your whole life relating to money, you forget how to relate to people," and takes out a whetstone, running it over the edge of his falchion, taking relaxation in the repetitive motion.
"Anevia, anything else here look out of place?" Sarge asks, looking around to see if any thing else of note might have been left.

"Dunno what the big deal is, it's just a little fire beetle."
"We gotta take this human-shaped bag of s~+! to someone with authority anyway -- Anevia's home's as good a place to look for that as any," Sarge says. "If it's on the way to Horgus's place, that makes it easy."
Sarge slugs the bound man in the face, yelling, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH, TRAITOR!"
The big man smiles grimly at the revelations, saying to the others, "You get a man mad enough and he'll blurt out just about anything."
Sarge spits at Chaleb, the saliva running down the fallen crusader's face. "Folks like you don't just decide to burn innocents for jollies. Who're you working for? Some demon lord contacted you? Or a cultist? Maybe if you tell us everything, they'll let you live. Otherwise, there's a lot of people whose loved ones got killed here in town... maybe they'll just let them have ya." He'll take the +1 Mace and a potion from the gear stripped from the miscreants.

Sarge pulls out a rope and hogties the tiefling, while carefully listening to Chaleb and Fenna, trying to weigh who's lying and who's telling the truth.
Sarge only has 50g left, didn't think about buying a wand.
"Uh... who the hells are they?"
"Demons got a different feel to 'em, yeah. Those were just nasty old buzzards, same as get attracted to every battlefield. Kind of a punch in the gut to have Kenabres become a battlefield, though. I wonder if Nerosyan got hit too?"
Sarge wipes his blade off and sticks it into his sheath, looking around for any danger as he takes point.
Sarge jumps over the sleeping vulture and moves up to stand beside Steave, attacking with all his might.

Sidestepping to be beside Xanaphia, Sarge draws his falchion lightning fast, slashing at the feathered fiend in front of the sorceress.
"Ya! Hey-oh! Get off her, I'm the big juicy morsel here. Ha! Get behind me, lass!" He tries to get the vultures' attention off of her.
Occaisonal random encounters are fun. More than one on a way to a place is kinda annoying though.
I'm going to come down on the side of dipping Paladin. It's very helpful for a cleric who gets into combat, as it gives you heavy armor, marital weapons, boost to saves, swift action self heals, and proficiency in bows for situations where you can't reach the foe. -Posted with Wayfinder

Oracle and paladin have a lot of synergy and the hospitaler is a good healer but you'd delay spells and such. -Posted with Wayfinder
I figure things should go to the person who'll use them the most effectively. I've got Sarge all leveled up, now. Gear is still starting level, though.
The story made it sound significant, like it's maybe a Holy sword or something. Anyway, heh, that's what I'd get for taking the high average anyway.
What gear and stuff has been found by the party? Have we gotten an identification of the gold sword the rebel mongrelmen had?

I'll do level up tonight or tomorrow, my PC is still not set up after my recent move.

I wouldn't want to force anyone to do a path they didn't want to do. That said, Would either of the marshalls consider switching to champion, or dual-pathing? Similarly, would either of the Archmages like to consider another option as well?

That would be an interesting group, no dedicated healer or Hierophant. I dunno if anyone wants to switch their characters around.
Sure, Aeryx. I see your mythic-path-related trait is for the Champion path, and ours dropped out, so that would be helpful to us, I'm sure. Bane88: If you want to run this for us, I can personally offer to buy at least one of the books for you in PDF form when you finish running the one you've already purchased.
Hi there! We're a group of players who barely started our campaign, when our GM, Spooky, had to bow out because of real-life issues. Isn't that just always the way? I personally had been looking forward to playing this campaign a great deal, as had a number of other players, so we're hoping we might find a GM who'd be willing to either take over the campaign from its current status, or start over from the beginning (preferably the former). Here's a link to the current campaign discussion thread. So far we've found five people interested in continuing, and we've got a mix of characters. Feel free to take a look and see if it's something you'd like to do.
Ok I got one bite from the other group so that gives us 5. I'll go ahead and post a thread on the recruitment forum looking for a new GM in the morning.
