Not for everyone

1/5

You may enjoy this scenario... or you may hate it. I hated it, though I can see why others loved it. It's very bizarre, filled with absurdities and inanity that surpasses everything else I've played. If you're into that kind of stuff, you may really like this one, but I personally found myself constantly groaning "ANOTHER riddle?" as we entered each new room. They weren't even good riddles, they were all children's nursery rhyme stuff. Several times during the scenario I almost just walked out, but since we were playing at a table of 3(with a pregen) I didn't want to screw over the other two players.

Different.

5/5

I had a great time both running and playing this scenario. It's fun, challenging, and very different from most Pathfinder games. However, I should caution that the success of this scenario greatly depends on your GM. Because there are very combat encounters, and it's highly investigative, you need a GM who can improvise well, drop the clues you need, and players who can follow them. Otherwise, it just doesn't work.

Awesome Scenario!

5/5

This scenario is absolutely wonderful. Great role-playing opportunities, challenging encounters(including many non-combat encounters which bring in interesting rulesets, such as navigating a ship in a storm), and great lore. Highly recommended, but come prepared! This module isn't for the faint of heart.

Tiers are not sufficiently balanced.

2/5

The lore for this scenario is amazing, but level scaling needs a lot of work. The encounters are absolutely BRUTAL for a Tier 1-2 party, but they are a cakewalk for Tier 3-4. The biggest reason for this is most of the 3-4 encounters are the 1-2 encounters with an extra minion or two added. This means in tier 1-2 you end up fighting a very challenging boss, but in tier 3-4 you fight the exact same boss(with not one HP higher) who has a mite that she kills on the first turn with channeled negative energy anyway.
