At the moment the only Friday 8-12 slot me and my friends can play is the Shades of Ice - Part 1 - Written in Blood as we have already signed up to play The Temple of Empyreal Enlightenment on Sunday. Is there another 1-5 scenario that can be added into the Friday 8-12 slot? We don't mind playing 'Shades of Ice - Written in Blood' but would like to know if it ends on a cliffhanger, meaning the second part 'Exiles of Winter' must be played directly afterwards, or if it has a returning factor like The City of Strangers - Part 2. We will be attending CrispyCon 2 weeks after the Uk Games Expo and they will hosting all 3 parts of the Shades of Ice Adventure Path. If 'Exiles of Winter' has a returning factor we will happily pick up the story and continue from there!

Do we now if Rob Silk will be a GM at the Expo?
Sadly i don't know many Gm's only those who I sat at a able with at CrispyCon. As a Gm are the adventures provided for you, or do you have to bring your own Scenario?
Hi guys, there are 5 of us trying to find PFS games but everything is sold out at the moment. We don't mind if we have to split up between games but we don't really want to split up between game-time slots (morning / afternoon / evening) We are kind of disappointed that we can't get seats. There are lots of higher tiers (3+ / 5+) but I've not seen many lower tiers as thats what we need. 3 of us are level 2 and the other 2 are starting from level 1. For the 3 level 2's its our second PFS event (the first being crispycon) and for the 2 new players it'll be their first time at any PFS events. This is also all our first expo so we really want to make it happen. Any advice or heads up to new tables opening would be great. Thanks :)
About time!
And yes! I agree with The_Minstrel_Wyrm / Steve Geddes / Enpeze
Cannot wait for this and will be buying!
The base creature looses all feats when it becomes a normal skeleton. The skeletal champion is a template you add to a living creature and while it uses some stats of the skeleton when it comes to feats all the skeletal champions stat block says is that it gains improved initiative as a bonus feat. Does that mean a skeletal champion keep all the feats of the base creature?
Okay. I am now confused. The reason i was asking is because my group is shortly going to begin the final installment of [an adventure] and the boss has the following Defensive Abilities: DR 10/adamantine, 15/bludgeoning and magic Does that mean he has 3 different sources of DR =
So are the folloing true: - an adamantine longsword "soaks" into the bludgeoning and magic DR
*if over 10dmg this source of DR becomes redundant - an adamantine flail "soaks" into the magic DR
- a +1 adamantine flail bypasses all DR Is that correct ?
As long as you stick to the prerequisites IN the feat(s), i right in thinking they stack? Example : level 1 Human Fighter, Short Sword, Str 13 / Dex 16
No PS or PA - Shortsword+4, 1D6+1
LEVEL 2 - take the Furious Focus feat

A guy in my home campaign wanted to use a whip, so we found the scorpion whip (deals lethal damage) in some book and he made a human fighter. Fighter - Weapons Master Archtype 1 Dodge / Power Attack / Exotic Weapon Proficiency - Whip
So yeah.. range of 15ft or 20ft on a whirlwind attack... He enjoyed it lol
@Wasum and 666bender
If it hadn't been a PFS event then i'll admit i wouldn't have taken Armor Mastery Revelation so early but because i wanted to survive the weekend and have a stocky character it seemed like a good choice. To be fair moving 30ft in medium armor really helped out in the scenario in which we had a very unbalanced team. I was able to charge 60ft into the BBEG, misfortune his hit into a miss and then had a decent enough AC score to keep the him on me while the Life Oracle moved in and healed up our other party members whom he'd dropped to negatives on the first 2 rounds of comabt. I would go so far as to say it actually saved characters from dying. Its not something i would have wanted to wait till levels 5 or 7 for. @Matt2VK
Toughness and Power Attack seem to be the main feats at the moment.

Even if its mithril I have the revelation Skill At Arms which makes me proficient with all Martial Weapons and Heavy Armour so im sorted :) Thanks for the reply, El Baron de los Banditos!
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep up with the thrown weapons in the future. They were a bit of a gimmick, just my way of getting round ranged combat until i had enough for a decent bow. So far they have been useful though, in a handful of encounters I've been faster than the fighter or rogue so while the rest of the group have gone in and started flanking i'd stand 10-20ft away and throw my weapon leaving enough space for the other guy to come in and flank for big damage. I will give some consideration to Quick Draw though. Is it possible to sheath a weapon as a free action or not? I don't want to take Extra Revelation because a lot of the "metal" revelations get good around level 11+.
Hi guys, So i played PFS for the first time at CrispyCon a few weeks back and I really really enjoyed myself !! I've played 5 scenarios so i believe that puts me one away from leveling to level 3. I'm hopefully heading to Conception at the end of January to play again but I'm wondering what my 3rd level feat should be. My character, Reon is listed below. Reon, Human, Grande Lodge F / PP = 10 Dual-Cursed Metal Oracle, Level 2 HP 19
STR 16 (+3)
Fort +2 (+2 Con)
BAB +1
-Skills- Skill points per level: 3 = 4(oracle) -2(int) +1(human) +8 Diplomacy
-Spells- 0 - Detect Magic, Read Magic, Light, Create Water, Mage Hand, Ghost Sound, Mending
-Curses- Dual Cursed Archtype A dual-cursed oracle must choose two curses at 1st level. One of these curses (oracle’s choice) never changes its abilities as the oracle gains levels
Haunted (will level as i progress) Retrieving any stored item from your gear requires a standard action, unless it would normally take longer. Any item you drop lands 10 feet away from you in a random direction. Add mage hand and ghost sound to your list of spells known.
Legalistic (never improve, so what you read is what I have) Whenever you break your word (either purposefully or unintentionally), you become sickened for 24 hours or until you meet your obligation, whichever comes first. However, once per day, you can make a vow to yourself that grants a +4 morale bonus on any one roll you make while trying to fulfill a promise made to another individual. -Revelations- Armor Mastery (Ex): You become more maneuverable while wearing armor. You can move at your normal speed in medium armor that is made of metal. This does not grant proficiency in armor. At 5th level, whenever you are wearing metal armor, you reduce the armor check penalty by 1 (to a minimum of 0) and increase the maximum Dexterity bonus allowed by your armor by 1. At 10th level, and again at 15th level, these bonuses increase by 1. Misfortune(Ex): At 1st level, as an immediate action, you can force a creature within 30 feet to reroll any one d20 roll that it has just made before the results of the roll are revealed. The creature must take the result of the reroll, even if it’s worse than the original roll. Once a creature has suffered from your misfortune, it cannot be the target of this revelation again for 1 day. Skill at Arms (Ex): You gain proficiency in all martial weapons and heavy armor. -Feats-
-Traits- Deft Dodger (Combat)
Lessons of Chaldira (Religious Trait)
-Armour / Weapons- Scalemail
Morning Star +4, 1D8+3, x2, B/P
If your wondering about the thrown weapons, after buying my equipment i didn't have enough for a decent ranged weapon (the bow came after my 1st or 2nd scenario) so i bought thrown weapons to compliment my Str bonus. My first round of combat usually involved throwing my trident and then drawing a more suitable weapon. I love this guy. He was great at everything but chase scenes, which he failed so badly at (-3 or 5 on all str, dex based skills). No matter what group i was in he could comfortable fit any role. I think his "big thing" though was Misfortune. It's usually a witch ability but because im a Dual-Cursed Oracle I get to mess around with it and its so powerful.
I also threw out a couple Ill Omen spells (listed below) which gave the monster affected the option: Move or (potentially) Suck. School enchantment (compulsion) [curse, mind-affecting]; Level witch 1
After all this though im still wondering on which Feat to take at third level.. I know that my revelation at level 3 is going to be Dance of the Blades (spd+10 ft and extra yummies at level 7 and beyond) and I know what I want to do when I have the money too, find some masterwork mithril heavy armor (which becomes medium and through my Armor Mastery Revelation allows me to move at my full speed (40ft), ditch the shield and run around with a tasty selection of two handed weapon. But its just the feat selection... Any help please? Also as a side question. Would it be worth picking up Quicken Spell at level 11 for Ill Omen?
Thanks for reading and for any advice you guys have! :)
The rule i always play is no crazy Class changes / Prestige Classes without Rping from your character and a talk with me beforehand.
Example : The fighter wants to dip into an arcane caster next level. If he wanted to become a wizard he'd have to rp that he approaches the party wizard / gets taught the basic's from tutors while in a town and continues his lessons each day. As he got closer to leveling if he wanted to try a few spells out i'd let him (rolling a % dice to see if it failed / mishap / succeeded) etc. However if he wanted to dip into sorcerer during play i would hint that the fighter is slowly accessing his dormant arcane powers. So at first it could just be a "ping" that he notices a magical aura for a second or two (as if using detect magic). As he gets closer to leveling he's powers would begin to show more and more (depending on the bloodline he chosen) to the point that maybe when he's close to leveling and really in a pickle, surrounded by monsters his powers burst forth and he unleashes one of his spells he's going to take at next level. One of my players a while back played a rogue and over the course of about 3 levels he underwent a change of heart when the villan of the campaign turned out to be a his best friend - a trusted npc that has stabbed them in the back (unknown to the PC's he had died and his body now hosted a demon). He rp'd his character becoming less jokey / laid back and become more responsible and mature with a bleaker outlook on things. He stopped taking rogue levels and picked up 2 fighter levels and finally became a paladin. Then later in the campaign when he and the party found out his best friend was actually just a host for something beyond this realm he rp'd his character "going a bit nuts" and clearly breaking his paladin's code of conduct. He dipped back into rouge for a level before Rping a brilliant scene at a temple where he begged for forgiveness and asked how he could atone for his sins.
I'm looking for this map and i can't find it anywhere online. Anyone have it and mind parting with their copy? The blank green side is really appealing. I don't understand why Paizo haven't made a double sided blank map in green/grey (grass/stone). Woodlands and Dungeons are by far the two most common areas. A blank sand/water (or ice) map would be a brilliant second map to follow up.
Hey guys, So i've just finished my first ever PFS event (CrispyCon) and have come back with a still living and breathing Oracle (now level 2). Yay! When I created him I chose the Silver Crusade Faction, but at the first day of the event, before I sat down to play my first adventure, I changed my Faction to The Grand Lodge. I understand that your allowed to make multiple changes to any level 1 character before he reaches level 2 as long as its noted on your chronicle sheet.
Today I logged in here to check my account has been updated with the event, which it has but my Character is still said to be associated with the Silver Crusade (which should be Grand Lodge) and apparently only has 2 F/PP instead of 10 (5 adventures over the course of the weekend, all fully completed, none spent) How do i get this changed or does it not matter as long as its on my personal chronicles sheets that are kept with my character and taken to events? Thanks for the feedback, Joe
Hey guys, I'm building a cleric for my friends up coming game. You alwways see the same types of cleric so i wanted to mix it up a little and make something different. I've pretty much got him all sorted but im still 1 feat down and wondering how im going to deal damage. 25 point buy, Human Cleric (N) Channels negative energy BUT can convert any prepared spell into Healing spells Domains - Death / Travel 10 Str
Feats = Selective Channeling / ????? Trait (only 1) = Freed Slave (+1 on fort saves) Equipment :
At 3rd level I'm taking the Versatile Channel Feat so i can use my Channel ability to heal (as a cleric 2 levels lower) Originally the idea was to make a Channel Damage Cleric, which i can do 6 times per day at the moment. So at 5th level and above i take Extra Channeling / Improved Channeling feats etc However, i know that if i channel in every encounter i'll be out of uses very quickly so i need away to deal damage besides channeling and spells. I'm thinking Weapon Finesse.. (dex is +2) but there aren't many routes i can take with it... Are their other options I'm not seeing? Thanks guys |
