Sarya bites her tongue and plans carefully... "I will get you... I will make friends of my own, I need to speak with the Bravura about "opportunities"..."
Sarya then seeing an opportunity to bind the Mayor took it greedily...
Sarya looks at the Mayor and speaks as he speaks of going down stairs... Her tongue seems to flash like quicksilver to her companions, the mayor cannot perceive this as Sarya is behind him.
"Before we go into a trap filled, witchoil filled layer of this complex I believe we all want to know about your defenses down there... If one of your traps takes us all out you could quite easily escape, we can't let a criminal such as yourself do that now can we?
Sarya's laughter is mocking, her response utterly confident.
"Power is more then just magic my good imbecile, we Dream Merchants could with but a word set Ber alight in the fires of renewed conflict. Do you think that Ber's sudden bout of stability and peace came naturally?
Sarya calmly decides to put down the mayor's overblown ego...
"The goblin King cares only about the gold that slides into the hands of the Dream Merchants, whether or not Risur and Danor make peace we shall profit in the end..."
Sarya is activating "King of the Night" to gain darkvision...
@Bravura"Companion I advise keeping the mayor under arm and club, if he tries to escape I want to see his brain in the canal."

@party, Sarya snorts at Johnathan's suggestion. "I am accompanying you like it or not, the dream merchants need customers and they can't buy anything if they are dead!"
"And besides, "Dream merchant saves the city!" Will be exceptionally good publicity".
Sarya spoke, her voice brutal and not kindly disposed.
"You are to remove all personnel from the premises into the yard, in plain view of us all. A team of RHC agents will be called in to investigate the premises top to bottom. Any hint of resistance will result in your immediate and summary execution."
Sarya's voice is then mocking...
"Do you think us so stupid to allow a suspect to give us a tour into a house filled no doubt with so called "servants" masquerading as assassins? Do you think us so blind?"
Sarya's with John on this one. The Bravura's story about the two "shady" servants gives Sarya a lot of room to be suspicious...
Sarya studies both of the female guards and thinks... They are probably paid little for this job and I doubt they are paid anything good... Give them the chance to go quietly.
Sarya's tone is brisk and business like, yet clearly "focused".
"We are here to arrest the mayor, RHC business. If you leave now you will not be prosecuted nor jailed, any court appearances you make will be only as witnesses."
diplomacy1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
GM by "focused" I mean it should be evident from Sarya's tone that these people are mooks, she has far bigger fish to fry then them.
Sarya is being savvy because she lived in Ber...and Ber was not always so stable, as a result Dream Merchant compounds were (and still are) heavily warded. Sarya's more acquainted with magical glyph type traps though then the mechanical variety.
Sarya is also thinking that the mayor if he is truly the mastermind behind all of this would have prepared defenses...
"If we have to go in front I recommend the acquisition of a nice, firm ten foot stick. We Dream Merchants utilize quite a few traps to defend ourselves in Ber and beyond, however our's tend to be of the magical nature... I suspect that the mansion's defenses will be more mechanical in nature."
Sarya looks at the tiefling pointedly...
Does anyone remember trapezing across the dungeon with your handy ten foot pole?
Sarya is being genre savvy at this point... She's already figured that the mansion will be booby trapped top to bottom as such she is being cautious...
Sarya looks at the compound thoughtfully and then an idea occurs to her... It's crazy but it might work.
"Chief do you happen to have a map of the sewer system? If a large enough connection exists, which I suspect it might giving the size of the mansion we might be able to get into their via the cellar..."
Sarya looked thoughtfully at the manor and then an idea entered her mind...
"My friend here said two of these people were not your normal, run of the mill servants... If we could capture them I could get their tongues to wag... I think we should get all the information we possibly can before proceeding."
Sarya motions to the Bravura to come closer and speaks to him quietly, "no sense in getting butchered going through what is likely a trap laden entrance... I want you to circle the mansion, find any weak points such as windows, grills and so forth. Report back to me."
@Stover
"Chief my associate over here will circle the mansion... Considering his talents I suspect he may find points of entrance that we would not."
Sarya wants the Family primarily because she reckons that they would be the best "outfit" for the manor job... The mafia just seems to be better suited for urban warfare then the army...
"Before we go to this manor I believe we need to thank the person who gave us this most delightful machine..."
Sarya takes a sip of coffee brewed straight from the machine... Then proceeds to gulp another cup followed by a second...
Sarya isn't likely to requisition support form the Dream Merchants, their specialty is more magical and economic then assault... I don't think we have enough prestige with any faction to call in reinforcements but that doesn't mean some good old fashioned diplomacy can't do wonders... To the coffee shop!
Sarya's tone is business like but she works hard to appeal to Lukas's better nature...
Indeed but this has more to concern with Cauldron Hill and the black oil you have no doubt seen slogging the streets... I believe that the origin of this threat comes at least partially from outside Flint. I want you to investigate the docks, pull your own contacts and get me information concerning recent ("in the last month") smuggling jobs and especially their cargo."

Isabella:
Sarya herself daintily consumes a crumpet and drinks the Mint tea, she murmurers her appreciation to the servants... "Always be polite to even the lowliest for you were once one of them..."
Sarya's voice is still lady like and friendly despite her bloodstained appearance.
"My work as a RHC consultant took a turn for the worst today, we succeeded in guarding the Skyseer from undead and Jaguars... Only for him to die of old age..."
Sarya's sighs, her voice is a bit ragged and one can tell that she is a tad weary.
"Unfortunately the Skyseer said if I am any judge of prophecy that we have a threat to this city... Cauldron hill isn't a myth after all, it has something to do with this black oil that has been washing the streets like molasses. "
Sarya looks at Isabella, while her voice does not sound pleading her eyes clearly tell another story...
"I need assistance tracking down the source of this problem and given the recent political upheaval with King's marriage and so forth I was wondering if some amongst the nobility are unhappy about the tiefling bride to be... Unhappy enough to have orchestrated or assisted in these events."
Diplomacy1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
I am assuming from having read back that the King's marriage to the tiefling is pretty much the gossip around town...
Sarya walks up to Lukas's cart and speaks, her tone business like but friendly (like a friend with things to do). "Lukas I need to rummage some information out of your head, it has to do with the events that have just transpired."
Isabella:
Sarya makes her way through the morass of pleasantries with a calm dignity that one couldn't believe a former dock rat could display...
Sarya knowing Isabella to be a conversationalist and general gossip strikes off the conversation by requesting her favorite food...
"Isabella would you happen to have more of those lovely crumpets and mint tea? Your cook is wondrous..."
Sarya's docker spirit is quite evident, now you realize that despite the elegance, sophistication and dress she could have only been docker born...
"Chief what I mean is this, if there is something that can bite us in the !@# when things finally go to hell on the Hill we should get rid of it before that... The less complications when that day comes the better."
@Stover, "we must do more then that. I suspect that whatever threat lurks upon the hill will take it's sweet time to materialize. During this time we should take the opportunity to remove as many "unstable" elements as possible. Bleak Merchants, smugglers, cartels and anything else that could join the fray at the worst possible time..."
Sarya's voice is slightly angry as she speaks, her docker heritage creeps into her voice, "while I hate to admit it all we can do is prepare. But if we can prepare we shall prepare damn good."
Blood flowing down from her shoulder, Sarya's dress is a bloody mess. The Dream Merchant will follow Johnathon for healing and then will proceed to find Stover to arrange the ghost busting...
