Vic,

Thanks. Greatly appreciated!

I generally look forward to getting my new Dungeon magazine each month but this month have been rather busy. Just today in looking over the site, I realized I do not recall having ever received Dungeon #127. I asked my wife if she recalls having seen it and after looking at the cover she said, "No. I would have remembered that worm guy..." (I let her know it was an illithid!)

Is there any way to check that my magazine was shipped properly? My address on the account section is correct. I just can't imagine it came in and got misplaced or, gods forbid, tossed out!

Thanks,

In the Three Faces of Evil, pg. 20, under the heading "Infiltrating the Mine", it states that Ragnolin Dourstone pays workers 2sp per day plus room and board. So, it would be fair to say that other mine owners pay that or something just slightly above that. As one of you noted, the DMG says 6sp a day so I wouldn't go even that high to be in keeping with the flavor of Diamond Lake and the merciless mine owners.

Just thought of one other thing. Could you move Tongueater somewhere else in the Lucky Monkey, like upstairs in a conference roomm...would need to make a nice large one to work this out? My group, after trying the front door (and seeing it was barred, not barricaded...see previous post) decided to go through the back. They had a titanic battle with TE in the kitchen....and then they had to mop up the rest of the bad guys in the Lucky Monkey. Needless to say, a bunch of drunk lower level enemies who are unaware they are under siege are little challenge for a group of prepared adventurers.

It seems to me the TE battle should be the climax of this scenario. Instead, it was a great battle and then a real let down. I had most of the minions surrender when the group trashed a a couple in each fight.

Just one thing from me at the moment. Our group just started Flood Season and they left for the Lucky Monkey. When they got there, they checked the front, side and back doors and found them locked. They picked the lock on the front door and went to open it. At that point, I started laughing...

The description in the text says the front door and side doors are barricaded with furniture and require a strength check to push open. The map indicates that the doors open outward! Barricading the doors on the inside doesn't accomplish anything.

Two possible fixes. Change the map to indicate the doors open inward, or change the text to indicate that the doors have been barred, not barricaded from the inside. A piece of broken furniture shoved through the door handles would suffice.

Or, you could leave it like it is...I and my group (when I told them) got a good laugh out of it!

Maveric28, one quick note. The Flood Season Web Enhancement indicates the party needs to sell 25,000 GP worth of magic treasure to Skie to qualify for the discount, not 120,000 GP. In essence that equates to the need to sell 50,000 worth of magic treasure because until they qualify they are only selling to her at 50% value. I just didn't want your group to be short changed (no pun intended.)

As for a group name, my players are still debating that. They thought the name, "Not the Stormblades" or "No, we are that other adventuring group" would work because everytime I get the chance, I bring up the Stormblades and how they are the heroes of Cauldron. When they rescued Krylscar Endercott from the Malachite Fortress, the first thing he said was, "Hey, your not the Stormblades. I was really expecting them to rescue us." Needless to say, my group already hates the Stormblades and they haven't even met them yet!

Grunk, great idea on naming the SB the heroes of Cauldron at the heroes feast. I may just have to do something like that. In my case, I may not even invite my group. I imagine a party like that would be fairly exclusive and the SB could make sure the guest list didn't include any rivals since they do have quite a bit of pull through their familial connections. Besides, I don't want the first encounter to occur until after the SB trash the elevator to the Malachite Fortress when the group is off at the Lucky Monkey. That should get them really mad!

According the the information here:

http://www.gamingreport.com/article.php?sid=16433&mode=thread&order =0

which was posted in another thread about this issue, it states that there is an extra adventure that will fill in an experience gap in the early going. I am running a group through the AP now and we just finished Life's Bazaar. It doesn't look like there is a gap between that adventure and Flood Season, so is the gap between FS and Zenith Trajectory? Anybody have an idea on this one?

I hate to have to wait till July for this to come out and possibly miss out on an additional adventure because we passed the timeline for it.

I was hoping for some advice for a new (sort of) DM. I haven't played since 2nd Edition and me and my friends finally decided it was time to get back into gaming. The AP was a perfect excuse to get back into the DM role.

Jzadirune has all the trapped doors and I realize that the PCs won't get experience for every single door, but rather for each type of door/trap they bypass. The DMG states, "A trap never discovered or never bypasses was not encountered and hence no XP award.

Well, I imagine the group will soon start discovering some of the keys to these doors. If they get them and use them, will they start earning points for the traps? At this point, they have not "discovered" them (after realizing they couldn't pick the locks even by taking a 20, they just started using the tunnels) and also have not been affected by any. Just want some advice on how the XP would work and when they would earn it.

Thanks
