![]() The party has just arrived in caliphas, discovered some burnt/staked bodies and went to a ball. The party decided to split up, two went to buy dresses the other two went to investigate the stakes. They all ended up at the nobleman's stitch. The ninja snuck in downstairs and found some coffins and alerted the party. They created a distraction and went downstairs.
Ok so scenario one could be ok, they take the info they have to the order and eventually make sense of it, I can work with that. But if they loose? Any ideas? It really seems that them dying in the basement of a tailors shop is the best scenario for the whispering way ![]()
![]() In a recent game my player's ninja used a stealth check to hide in a nearby fog cloud, then moved out of the cloud 10 feet and attacked an opponent. He claimed since he had made the stealth check he got to do his sneak attack damage. Is he correct? I let him do so due to my incomplete understanding of how the stealth rules work. Thusly I turn to your infinite reserves of knowledge. I searched, but failed to find an answer to this question, so I apologize if the answer is elsewere and I missed it. Also if said answer exists feel free to direct me there :) ![]()
![]() In Ultimate magic, they introduced the oathbound paladin archetype. One of the features is the Loyalty Oath, "Once per day, an oathbound paladin can choose a willing creature within line of sight as the target of her loyal oath." Unfortunately this does not explain what type of action it is to establish this oath. Anybody know what type of action it takes to establish this oath? ![]()
![]() I've been playing 4e for some time now and decided to give pathfinder a try, I've fallen in love with the adventure path Carrion Crown. We played "We be Goblins" to get us a bit more familiar with the system and ran into a strange issue, diagonal movement. The extra movement cost may make sense but it really just struck us all as an annoying complication. I'm planning on simply dropping the extra movement cost for diagonal movement as it is in 4e. My concern is this, I'm not familiar enough with the complete rules set and all the interactions of Pathfinder, will dropping the extra cost of diagonal movement cause some strange problem or interaction later? ![]()

ok so lets modify scenario 2 then shall we. having previously cast shocking grasp and moved up to the opponent it is a new round. on this round I would like to attack the opponent with both my touch attack and my sword. how does that work? ![]()

what penalties do I take to these attacks? I understand a -2 for the weapon attack from spell combat. Do I also take penalties for two-weapon fighting? ok scenario two
once again what penalties do I take? If I don't have a high enough BAB to get extra attacks can I use my touch attack? I begin to see why one would want to channel spells through your weapon. edit: one more quick question. Does a natural 1 auto-fail on an concentration check like it would with an attack or save, or does it not as with skill checks? ![]()
![]() Oddly enough I've had quite a run of bad luck and the last 2 campaigns I ran ended in TPK. The first one was player stupidity, the halfling decided zombies were immune to cold and summoned a bunch to kill the white dragon, only to die at it's claws. Then the Monk seemed to go insane and rushed deeper and deeper into the dungeon to kill the bad guy, the cleric trailing behind him saying "we shouldn't do this, we should go back." every 10 feet. They found the bad guy and, oddly enough, he killed them.
as to the topic at hand, I'm very eager to see the adventure play out so I'll probably be fudging like mad or at least making plans for when the monk goes insane again so i can replace dead characters. |
