Grim Optimism

Growing up with no one to rely on but yourself, you learned to keep a realistic view of your situation and avoid falling into the trap of cynicism with a healthy dose of wit.

Benefit(s): As a standard action, you can joke about a troublesome situation to lighten the load of dealing with it for yourself and others. You and all allies within 30 feet who can hear you gain a +2 morale bonus on saving throws against fear and pain effects for 1d4 rounds. A character cannot benefit from this effect more than once in 24 hours.

Woodland stride (Ex) Starting at 2nd level, a druid may move through any sort of undergrowth (such as natural thorns, briars, overgrown areas, and similar terrain) at her normal speed and without taking damage or suffering any other impairment. Thorns, briars, and overgrown areas that have been magically manipulated to impede motion, however, still affect her.

Hydrated Vitality: An undine with this racial trait gains fast healing 2 for 1 round anytime she submerges completely within a body of natural salt water, fresh water, or brackish water. Stagnant, poisoned, or trapped water (such as an artificial pit or a bag of holding) does not activate this ability. The undine can heal up to 2 hit points per level per day with this ability, after which it ceases to function. This racial trait replaces water affinity. (4hp/day)

Apperance:

The figure of this scrawny specimen is humped, claws sharp, and skin texturous like that of a sea star. His armour made from age-old rubberous hide made ever stronger by long submergance in salt water. A skimitar in hand and a shield on his back, he proudly carries his weapon of ancestry, encrysted with, now dark and unremarkable golden handle.

Biography:

Ruchi was never playing or crying as a child, perhaps, he never was a child, always lost in thought, never bothering with the world enougth to as much as look ahead of himself.

He liked stolling on the seas beach away from his peers, often debating with the many wisemen of nearby settlements, it filled his spirit with joy and his exeptionaly large brain with oxygen and wisdom.

Wisdom grew with time, as did detachment from his relatives. His mother Uhilu was dissaponted in his birth, always treating him as if he was not her son at all.

His family once interbreeded with aboleths, a fact the familie's elders whould rather hide. But there he was, the living evidence of the shamefull event, more like an Aboleth than anyone.

As time passed, his mind changed, his body changed, becoming more like that of an Aboleth, a
very tentackled one at that.

As a final jesture of discrimination, he was soon banished.

Ruchi settled down in a human settlement, hiding his face behind rags to avoid being drawn away, and constantly debating on the mysteries of nature, the meaning of life, and the origin of species.

He finaly understood what he needed in life. Friends, thinkers and philosopers, those that could at least understand his philisophical ideas. Who he could tell about the Glow.

It was everywhere at first, when he firs set eyes upon the world, but then gradualy faded, as his normal vision returned. The Glow was like a drug, he wanted to see its glory once more, he needed to learn.

Now independent of his elders, he searced for more knolege of the Aboleth civilization, he found an ancient sunken library, to which countless generations of druids and wizards contributed, the greatest of which was Darvini. He whould spend many years there. He picked up fishing, never taking the strong fish, so he lived more. Then, finding an ancient scripture of the Aboleths, he really started reading in, they were a glorious and just people in the scripture, so Ruchi rejoiced once more of his ancestry. Days and nights passed on like nothing, his eyes darkening and his skin becomming more and more white from the darkness, there he practiced druidic arts in hopes of advancing himself. He decided to find the source of the Glow, and so he became a Blight Druid, seeking to purify and abvance all living things, like his Deity, eshewing sheer divine might for the sake of the evolution of the World.

It spoke to him in a dream that night. It told him to go, for he will find It in his travels.

So he set out, passing many great places, but he never saw It. Then, one night, It spoke to him a second time, it taught him of itself, of the world, of how it molded all the peoples of the world into what they are today, Ruchi was rejoicing the altruism of his Deity.

He wordshipped it in silense.

But he sensed trouble brewing upstream, and he answered the call of the Glow.

What the Glow is?:

Many aspects of nature exist in the world. Some powerfull and wordsipped, and some little known and weak.

The Glow is one of the more mysterious aspects. In many ages, its exsistance was known to few, and even fewer made contact with this entity.

What we know is that the Glow is an all encompasing force, its main purpose is directing the changes in living things of all planes, from weaker to stronger forms.

It sometimes acts as a patron for polymorph school users or Druids that seek to become greater than themselves througth shapechange.

Some call it "The Evolution Directive", some "Radiation" but all of its scholars agree that it was one of the earliest aspects of nature to appear.
