Rodthalas uses his ↺ Reactive Shield feat to block the blow with his Steel Shield. His shield has hardness 5 so it takes -7 so 13/20. He also takes the remainder of 7 damage, 9/16. Is this correct?

"Whoa!" Rodthalas is shocked by the power of the barbarian sprite. He draws his short sword, and he maneuvers to the back of White, effectively flanking him.

Ah I see. Okidoki. I'll cancel the drawing of the sword. Rodthalas will instead stride towards White and strike with the shield boss which does the same damage of 1d6 but bludgeoning

Quite wet in Bulacan... It's worse because the mayor's Stupefied 15 or something... decided to do all the road work during the rainy season... so places that never used to flood are now under water...

I know the token is 10 feet away, but the description is that he stepped up to you and tried to grab you. Therefore you don't have to stride to him. You can take a 2nd swing or step if you want.

Rodthalas dons his shield and draws a shortsword. He strikes at the ruffian wearing white.

since he's standing next to Ulvard who was just attacked with a club, I'm assuming there's no need to stride to attack White

Rodthalas looks at the maps he's shown and has no clue how to decipher anything before him.

I've no bonuses for Nature, and have neither of the 2 lores specified.

Besides I'm a big fan of Roy Greenhilt of the Order of the Stick. That is, he fights with his brain first, not his brawn.
I got an ancient elf for the free alchemy and daily reagents, the magical misfit for trick magic items so he can read scrolls (of healing, longstrider, haste, etc).
So less combat effectiveness for more self-reliance on the long run.

And if you refuse, I would like to offer you this hissing kobold as a sacrifice... thinks Rodthalas to himself. He stifles a chuckle.

The main benefit lies in less reliance on healers or spellcasters to provide boosts. Its pretty weak at first level, but I can see the progression. Some fellow whose videos I was following had said that even if you don't get any further feats, that's 1 additional reagent per level which can be used to make minor elixirs of life - 1/level. At 3rd Level, that's 3 extra dice of healing at no cost.

"Let's go hunting then." Rodthalas picks up his shield and stows it behind him. He places his quiver on his waist. Archers may notice that he favors white-colored fluflu fletching. He leaves the lodge last, taking the rear guard.

Lol. It's the module. There's a whole bunch of kobolds and a green dragon wyrmling bothering citizens of Otari.

Would she recognize the items on Rodathal's necklace?

I'm not sure. Some are rat and kobold teeth, and a singular Green Dragon Wyrmling's tooth (central) from the 'Menace Under Otari' module. Rodthalas collects them from foes he's slain.

A green-cloaked figure arrives. He draws his hood backward to reveal an elf, obviously more mature than most have seen. He's dressed in hide armor and is heavily armed. His long white hair is tied back except for a few war braids that stick from his left temple.

He carries not one, but two shields. He holds in his hand a shortbow, fitted with a pair of squirrel tail silencers.

He sees the Kobold and is taken aback. He eyes him from head to toe. His hand absent-mindedly strokes his necklace made of a few small teeth and a small central dragon's tooth. He shakes his head a bit as if a memory had quickly come and gone.

He removes the straps on his steel shield, puts it down with the inside facing everyone. There are a few markings, written in draconic.

He strongly clasps arms with his host and says "Well-met Venture-Captain Esmayl ibn Qaradi. It is an honor to have been called by you. What can I do for you?"

He then faces his companions and bows to them as a group. "Well-met! I am Rodthalas, son of Thalas Kirath. We are the Wildrunners of Kyonin."

He then sits down, and takes his drink - eager to hear what everyone else has to say.

Ah sorry about that. Loaded Rodthalas as unmodified 1st level character.

If possible Graeyson, please shift to a level 1 or 2.

I can't shift to lower than level 1, which I already am. Lol

Rodthalas has only 8 XP so far (so I've bumped up my stats as per GM Tiger's instructions above). And I've not begun running games yet, so no GM Glyphs to give at this time.
