I believe it's in Sandstorm. It's a pretty decent metamagic that raises the spell's slot by +1 for the ability. (Basically I am trying to extend the longevity of my 1st level Firebolts with arcane thesis, searing spell, and fiery spell feats to make a standard 5d6 fire into 5d6+5 that overcomes resistance and still do 1/2 damage to fire immune critters and also use it on certain other fire spells and raise up their slots) I like it because I can now have fireballs that are '11's. Most mages fireballs can go up to 10 max, but mine go to 11! 11 is higher than 10!
Hee-hee. Fire resistant creatures no longer concern me for my spells burn hotter and fiercer than any resistant creatures can stand! Even those that are immune to fire take damage from my spells!

Can we change that to 1d3=2 Small water Elementals(from the summon monster3 list)? Riese is a good guy and not too keen on sullying his rep with fiendish summons.

2d6=4 Bright worms damage to all in the area of that effect. Riese steps back 5' and drops a column of flame into the area before him.
21 fort save.... Riese chants "Annelida Pyrrok Olig'chata!!" dropping a Bright Worms at the intersection of K-L, 5-6, its a 20'radius spread and everyone that is my enemy in it takes 2d6=7 fire damage, dc21 reflex for half. This effect lasts for 9 rounds doing 2d6 damage to every baddie in the area every round. Wormlike tendrils of flame infest the area only striking Riese's enemies....

I am only pointing out that they are usable by people in our group. I agree that Lord Kelanen has done right and true for us through your ministry and if you still wish to give him proper attrition then I am all for it. Just wanted to point out the properties of the potential sacrifice.
Umm, Oso, I believe that those weapons of Gratt'z Jr. will resize to for human-sized or smallfolk. They may be useful to us as more than a sacrifice.

Riese is in I16, readying an action to toss a firebolt at anyone coming in through either of the doors in the northwest corner.

I could use the Bracers of Armor +2 but it isn't any dire need, they don't stack with Mage Armor or Greater Mage armor so it's mostly worthless to me.

I think Riese was manning the other ship (weren't we short of sailors or something?). What is going on with it, are we pulling up one ship or both to the docks? If not just assume he is at the wheel of this ship.
