.....needs a decent background, to be able to be in Absalom...

Absalom is easy to work into a story, as it's world renowned. I see it as well known as Coronet or Mos Eisley is to Star Wars. People could get there if they hitch enough rides.

Dwarf Cleric of Torag ..... This may go with the historian idea, but for some reason, the land seems ill suited to historians. Still, Kalsgard may have what I need.

I have a halfling inquisitor whose concept is a written language expert and archivist on a number of subjects. He's taking two levels of Archivist Bard. There are plenty of historians, not to mention the Pathfinder Chronicler prestige class. Someone had to start the rumors and legends of Mwangi and Ustalav somehow. :)

For Riaghan's backstory, I had him hop on a ship from Kalsgard to Absalom to start his new life, residing in the foreign quarter nearby the Lodge. He is Ulfen-blood who worked as a priest of Torag. Scandal forced him to be exiled from his home.

The man is a false teacher and disregards any correction or discipline from authority in his church. If you would like to hear what many Bible-believing Christians think on the matter, Dr. Kim Riddlebarger does a great job here.

Yeah, I second Card Kingdom/Cafe Mox if you visit Ballard. It's a must see for any game fan. Sets new standards for WIN.

Also are the words of power going to be legal for PFS play? *crosses fingers*

I'm sorry but the answer is no.

Hyrum.

Understandable and sad to hear at the same time.

the girl on the box cover reminds me of Inara the Companion.

Ah, you've heard of him, then.

This is why I don't approach people wearing long coats in the park.

Where's the official PFS page on Facebook? I found quite a few, but don't know which one is the primary page. I'll gladly follow it.
I believe this is the page they want people to follow!

Yeah, Mark, I felt the mention of there not being enough followers read as a little underhanded; though I doubt it was really intentional. There's some difficulty in finding the page, as it's not clearly marked on this site. Besides catching the address in a message board post like this, one has to make the extra effort to do a type-search for it both on here or Facebook. My first search, and I'm sure many others did the same, was search for 'Pathinder', which yields no relevant results. The correct search term has to be 'Paizo' and new followers may not realize that.

I almost joined in last year's Saga game you were putting on, but I was way to exhausted by that point, plus the thought of going way late with a 8am session waiting for me was not something I could handle.

Sadly, I can't join this time as I won't be staying at the hotel. Going out with friends for my birthday dinner that evening. May the Force be with you!

Wallpaper'd. Love it.

Hi,

Just seeing if the opt-in subscription pickup is happening again this year at PaizoCon?

Also, would this include any items in our sidecart? Thanks!

....if you're a PFRPG subscriber is to cancel your subscription prior to the release of the product, is that correct? ..... Any chance we can get a more detailed long term product schedule so I can cancel as early as possible and still have time to rejoin before missing something I actually want?

The best thing to do at this point is bookmark the subscription page and keep an eye out for it. As soon as you get Ultimate Combat, cancel your subscription. Then just check that page until Ultimate Diplomacy is announced (j/k), and click on the start subscription button starting with that product, rather than Beginner Box.

I had no idea about the Spells app for Android. Thanks for letting us know. It never came up in my searches before on the Market that I recall.

Two questions:
1. "PFS characters welcome" does this mean PFS credit?
2. When will information on many of these be filled out as to if pregens will be made or if our own characters are needed in preparation. Some list neither.

I sure do hope not, I can't stand Q Workshop dice, there is a general ban on those dice at my tables and they make me go blind!

True enough. I retract my statement. I wish they could make them a bit easier to read, but still retain the unique markings.

I'd like to make a suggestion regarding the dice included in this set (and I fully understand that it may be too late for this). I think it would be very helpful if the dice are all different colors, as opposed to a "complete set" that all match. I have found that for beginning players, it is often difficult for them to pick up which dice are which, especially at first. Being able to say, "The d8 is the blue one," or, "Roll the orange d20 and add your attack bonus," is a big help for someone in their first few sessions.

Nice suggestions. I purposely have a white d20 in my dice box which I can pick out easy from the rest of my colored polyhedrals. I would not be surprised if the dice are specifically made for the set, designed by Q Workshop (like their Adventure Path sets).

I dare say a free or cheap PDF of the books might be an excellent move for recruitment. Barring that, just including a beginner section on the PRD would do the trick.

Oh my! That would be terrific. If at the very least, make the Hero's Handbook a free PDF to pass out to friends, that would help TREMENDOUSLY to getting the interest of new players. If you can't make it free, a special gifting mechanism where you can pass out four extra copies (for each hero PC), much like gifting co-op games on Steam works.

This looks fantastic and as one who never bought the classic red box, I'm excited to get my hands on this.

Sovereign Court

Hey thelesuit, Any update on the PFS games getting added? Only seeing LFR so far. Not trying to press the issue, just wanted to make sure it wasn't me.

Sovereign Court

Looking forward to this book! Hoping for a Shadowbane Stalker-like prestige class, but not holding out, as its a pretty obscure* build. (See: crazy)
