1. Thanks for the invite.
2. Very cool idea for how we set up, equipment-wise.
3. Before seeing this, I was going to go for a Wand of Magic Missles, and I still will IF we don't all agree that the group should get a Wand of Cure Light Wounds instead.
4. If not the wand, I would like to pick up the Handy Haversack that Gideon set down. :D
5. Will get to work on the rest of Rhaeodlaf's equipment.

(additional : it's pronounced {Ray-Odd-Laugh) ...not that that's important. lol)

I've seen the Dark Tower games ad. It's up there in the top Dungeons of all time like Caverns of Thracia, White Plume Mountain, and a few others.

Caverns is like Castle Ravenloft with passages and sub levels that will enrage mapmakers ;)

Fortunately in pbp. The DM does that chore.

The original Castle Ravenloft map is still one of my favortite game maps of all time. That said, and to your point, I wasn't the one handling the mapkeeping duties in that campaign when we played. :D

Character Concept:
Dwarven Wizard of the Conjuration school, here. (Mr. Nevet's character)

Rhaeodlaf is one of those rare dwarves that values intellectual prowess and book-learning, and an even rarer member of the moderate folk who have the ability to summon and cast arcane spells.

Still, like many dwarves, he takes pride in hard work, dedication, and of course crafting of all sorts, and it's through this rather unusual combination that Rhaeodlaf found himself meandering the numerous aisles of the Academy library in search of recipies to use in brewing ale...which started him down a path of research and study concerning a location called the Caverns of Azlantia, an area reknowned for some formidable brews....and possibly the location of numerous magical items and more importantly, Spellbooks!

...or something like that. Rhaeodlaf is intended to be the cliche wizard type, say a young gandalf or whatever, but with the mindset and personality of your standard dwarf.

Male, Dwarf, Conjuration Wizard

His spells are going to be intended to be a hodgepodge of utility, battlefield control and support, as well as some fun-filled blasting.
