Rex shakes nervously in his seat. He calms himself with a little deep breathing. "That was craziness man." the kid says quietly. Rex checks his phone. "If we don't have service then they don't either. How much gas do we have? Rex looks back to Rosa's group. "He is there a TV back there? Can you put on the news?"
The kid straps himself to the passenger's seat. He pulls out his handgun and aims it out the side open window. Assuming the Sherriff vehicle is in front of RV Rex fires into the driver's side front tire, causing it to burst like a piñata. I DID THE MATH: You can enact this plan in combat as a bonus action to ensure your next ranged attack this turn automatically hits your target. You must know the location of the target. You can also use this plan any time you make a roll to use explosives or drugs, or in any other situation in which you might need an ability check to measure out the right amount of something to use to achieve a desired effect. You automatically succeed at the ability check. You must finish a long rest before you can activate this plan again.
Rex looks up at the bus and Angelyna driving. He rolls down the window and slips out to Angelyna's lap. He wriggles a bit to reach the passenger's seat. He spins and lifts his feet up and over to the passenger's floor board. The kid looks for his phone and then he checks it for a signal. "Holy butternuts. That was Horrific." Rex says while emphasizing 'Horrific' musically.
Rex stealthily slides onto the leather seat. He slowly and silently closes the car door. The kid moves the seat, as he isn't as fat as the sheriff. He slowly pulls and secures the safety belt. With a foot on the brake, Rex puts the car in Drive. He takes his foot of the brake, and hits the gas. As he gets close to anyone, he honks so that they can tumble away. He screams when he hits the SUV. Vehicles: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
GM SuperTumbler wrote: I didn't realize that Rex had his own car here. It would be all the way on the right, far from the SUV. If you want to make it to the SUV you might be better off to grab one of the sheriff's cars. They are close to the SUV. Keys are likely in the ignition. I mean, who is going to steal a cop car at the scene of an accident. "Right on Hellspawn! Goin' five ooooh baby!" says Rex.
Rex sits in the cab with a worried look. He remembers seeing what a Nazi Germany Jew probably saw from his persecutors' eyes. A dampening field would need to be here in order to block communication. It has to be in the SUV. He thinks. "Fuster Buck Nuggets." he says, as he moves the gun from his ankle to his waist and covers it with his shirt. He knew the he had to get to his car and ram the SUV off the cliff. It has to be the right call. The boy thinks, trying to convince himself. Rex races with youthful and limber strides while trying to use obstacles in the road as protection. He slides with practiced precision through the open window and into the seat. "Come on Slader Sled. Please start."
Ok, I'll make a decision on the following answer to: Should there be access to the internet here? Did he see cell towers or did he drive through the area and knew the cell worked...like google maps? Or does he just not know? If he doesn't know, then his action will be safe, but If he suspects that that communication is being purposely blocked, He'll do something far more dangerous.

Then he will slip into the cargo bay.
Is the long metal shaft in the cargo hold or is it up front? examine if possible Rex shakes his head. "I doubt the ape was riding shotgun." He grabs the gun and slides it in his right cotton sock. The kid seizes the heavy case with the tablet inside. He tries to slide the door open. Rex will slip into the cargo bay if he can.
Just Angelyna, No Last Name wrote: I doubt I can beat that no matter what the answer is but did you mean Wisdom save or Insight check? I know typically one rolls Deception against Insight, but idk if they have some ability or s/t I have insight at +7 :). I'll make it prior to moving to the van. Prior to moving... Insight: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 "They're going to hurt us." He says to the others nervously. Rex wonders what the agents were trying to secure. The kid slides into the van and searches it's inside for clues. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21

Could I ping king kong is the eye with it?
Rex looks around starts smiling. "It's a prank show right?" Once he realizes that it's not a ruse, He attempts to secure JA. Rex is overly careful with avoiding direct contact. The extra time ends when he snaps the shoulder holsters in place. The kid reaches for the adjustment straps, pauses, then finally pulls them tight. The actresses' body mushed in a pleasing way. Rex's heart fluttered at the surreal experience. He whispers, "Ok. Ok, Ok." to bring himself back to the real world. The kid rushes to his car. He finds his lower tier smart phone. He looks through his Slater song stash. Rex loads the song and rolls down the window. He pressed play, and the music blasts onto the road. Rex pulls up the camera and yells, "Go! Go! Go!" to JA.

"The guardrail fence is made to keep cars on the road. The guard posts are dug deep. They're deep enough to hold the van better than the clinic." Rex says to the middle aged woman. He turns to the sheriff. "Can we use the push bumper on your police car to run the rescue rope through?"
The 5'10" skinny kid says, "Cool nipple teats" The dark haired youth heads to his car and opens the trunk. "Phoenix had an auction." He loads his shoulder with nylon ropes. "They closed a firehouse and were sellin' some gear." He returns with climber rescue gear "I'll tie a slipnot lasso on the extra rope. We can lasso the wheel and catch the axil. Someone can pull it taught and secure it to the rails" Rex looks over the equipment. "I'm not to sure how this works." You brought it with you, had it brought to you, or knew just where to find it. The tool can be any piece of equipment that you can carry and afford. If it is a weapon, it is fully loaded.

No, no you're good. It was a confusing start. I thought we'd all be meeting in the diner before getting on the story train rails. But It looks like that it will actually start via the van rescue. It's funny, but I have just the skill(THE RIGHT TOOL) which says that I have climbing rescue equipment in my trunk. If only there was someone athletically inclined(Just Angelyna, No Last Name) to use it. :)

Cool,Thanks
Rex drives up to the diner and parks the Slater Sled. He sings with a part of a song playing on the CD player. "Squeeze me macaroni, slop your face with my bologna!" He sees a cop exiting the diner. Rex shut's up and kills the engine. The music dies. He watches as the sheriff rushes to his car, and speeds out of the gravel parking lot. It's tires spitting gravel until they hit the street. Satisfied that he's safe from focus. The young man grabs work-out bag from the back seat. He hops up the three steps and grabs the metal handle on the glass door. He opens it. The air was cool. Rex strides down to a free part of the counter. He strikes the counter to emit a little smack. "Can I get a coffee regular? I'll order when I get back." He takes his bag to the bathroom. He opens the door. The green tile offends his eyes, but it's all he's got. Rex shampoos his hair with a two in one shampoo/conditioner travel bottle and water from the sink. He cleanses the rest of himself with travel washcloths. The youth puts on a fresh T-shirt and jeans. Returning to the dining room, he hears the horrific crash echo through the windows.

I do feel bad for your NPC hostages though. :P
Rosa Sinclair, I could imagine getting some medical care from your free clinic. When I read your concept, All I could think is that you own a refurbished ambulance. So you can drive to sick homeless people. That's how Rex met you. What do you think? Edit: Gives us a mobile meat repair facility. Edit edit: I could have been hired to drive it while you are here. |
