![]() "O, Lord, thank ya for this. I'll be enjoyin' tha bed like nothin' else in this world. In thy infinite powerness and wisdomness, would it be too much tae ask fer a cucumber sammich?" After saying his prayers, Rob catches a nice sleep, as can be confirmed by the snoring he produces, worth of a whole herd of pigs. ![]()
![]() Sorry. How the Hell did I miss your update? After listening carefully to the man's offer, Rob nods. "Aye, God says that's a fine agreement if ye add the provisions to the lot. Me's be willing to sign if any other also does - not willing to explore on me own out there, mind ye." He turns his head left and right and see what the others think, as well as keeping an eye on the man's face. ![]()
![]() Rob witnesses all the magic display without saying a word. Once asked about the drink, he accepts the lemonade without question. When asked about the task, though, he's quick to answer. "No, sir, we got no freakin' idea. The lady, 'ere, told us nuttin' or if she did me was no payin' no attention, no. Sorry, ma'am" he adds turning to Naomi. ![]()
![]() "Sure as 'ell, son." Rob goes to the bar, puts some coins on it and asks the bar tender: "Bo'l of the strongest thing you've got 'ere. Quick." If the bar tender doesn't react, Rob picks the bottle himself and leaves the money on the bar. He goes back to were Herman is and hands him the bottle. "'Ere, son. God bless ya." ![]()
![]() Bang! goes the guy's pistol. Bang! Bang! goes Herman's shotgun. Rob foresees the butchery and goes to fetch Mary Anne - not to use her, but to prevent her from being 'borrowed'. "Oi! Things escalate rather quickly 'round 'ere!" Hoping things stay where they are - shot and counter-shot - he takes a long look around the bar. ![]()
![]() Rob keeps watching. Nothing special seems to be happening - it doesn't really look like an ambush or something. The man just had a big mouth in the worst moment. More of his friends are approaching, and this could be dangerous. The poor lad is going to be turned into a sieve, but too many guys together... Rob picks another piece of chicken and stands up, walking a bit nearer to the door. "Oi! Nom Chicken's gonna be cold! Nom, nom Cut yer shit and come eat or Imma eat all!" ![]()
![]() Rob watches as some of his fellows go out to stop the fight. He just shrugs and takes a long sip of ale while using his other hand to try to reach for a chicken drumstick. "Chiken's gonna get cold an' we don't want that, right?" While chewing some chicken, he's actually aware that no one else joins the situation and catches any of his companions by surprise. ![]()
![]() "Aye to the drinks!" Rob enters the place and removes his hat. Some grains of sand fall to the ground while he presses the hat against his chest and murmurs a prayer.
"Bring sumthing tasty for me and me friends, will ya? We got coin and dry throats." Then he takes a long look around the place and seeks for an empty table. Checked there and yes, some changes. Not sure, though, how are we going to deal with it - we can't be changing our sheet every time the SoM developers adjust the rules. ![]()

Thank you! I will correct the things that need to be corrected by the new SoM things, though it seems I have plenty of time to do it. I'm eager to see what comes out of that twisted mind of yours!![]()

I've got a thing with horses in games, they don't usually last long, and I don't know why. Usually someone steals my horse, but one of them died of starvation, a pair of them had to be left behind because they couldn't go through where we were walking, one was eaten by undead which we previously had turned, and another was killed by a barbarian's axe when the DM decided I was doing too much damage with Spirited Charge and a lance. Given the experience, my druids and paladins tend to exchange their animal companions for any other feature avaliable (even when I played D&D I asked the DM for something else). ![]()
![]() Not bad, Gobo, thank you. Will seriously think about it. In the end I picked the Alchemy Sphere, and chose to make healing salves. 1d8/2 levels at no cost for a craft dc of 15 seems quite juicy, and maybe in the future some nice damage dealing flasks. All changes from Gunslinger to Conscript should now be reflected on the sheet. I guess it's okay if I leave a certain amount of money unspent and wait to see if I get chosen and who else gets chosen. Depending on the group, I could put some money on the table for scrolls or a wand, or purchase some potions or alchemical reagents. Also, the Pioneer trait gives me a horse. I suppose it's a light horse. Combat horse, maybe? Idk, it's free anyway... and it's going to die on the very first session... :P ![]()
![]() After carefully thinking about it, I have decided this is the perfect time to try these Spheres of Might. I am currently changing my Gunslinger level for something that gives SoM talents (torn between Conscript and Blacksmith). I have thought about this tradition, tell me what you think: Long Gunner Equipment Talents: Firearms Proficiency, Expert Reloading.
If not approved, I'll probably use one of the ones that got approved for other players, if that's ok for you, or the Mechanical Mastery one. Also, guys that control SoM better than me, is there any talent that helps improving touch AC? ![]()
![]() Gobo Horde wrote: what would be a better fit for his profession? Gunsmith? In an era when guns are widespread enough, gunsmith deserves to be a profession on its own. They probably have a guild and the like. Also, still concerned about touch AC, so I decided to have a look at spells that might help with that. If you happen to know anyone I skipped, please tell me. I haven't delved into 3PP deep enough. Interesting spells that increase your AC vs Firearms at 1st level: :Protection from X (though you need to know the alignment beforehand) gives +2 Deflection for 1 min/level (and is super effective vs summoned creatures).
This is, of course, in addition to any active defense (Grease, etc.) or any other utility (Summon Monster?), and only at 1st level (where PCs are highly vulnerable to someone who can make 2 shots per round vs touch AC and for 1d10 damage each). Hope it helps. ![]()
![]() Victim of Changes: -Int and Dex exchanged, now more smarty than dodgy.

![]() Since, to my believe, the Arcane Delver trait (see above) lets you add a spell from other spell list and treat it as yours (correct me if I am wrong), that is causing me serious doubts... On one hand, I am tempted to take Shield of Faith (since it gives a Deflection bonus that protects against touch attacks, and neither Mage Armor nor Shield give that). On the other hand, I am thinking about the combination with Spell Recall and the possibility of spending 1 Arcane Pool to retrieve a Cure Light Wounds. Also, a Divine Favor would be nice... What would you guys recommend? ![]()

![]() Shadow stated before that we could start with a battered advanced firearm, so yes. On the Gunsmith thing, which strikes me as weird is the fact that some people get to fix and craft firearms like, out of the blue (no ranks in gunsmith and only 1 rank in alchemy) in an age where firearms are super rare and, when they spread out and turn into a common shit, no one gets that talent anymore. But still, I don't think you really need the feat to do the job, just the proper craft skills (only with the cheat you're cheating proper). I guess, as I said, Craft (Alchemy) and Craft (Gunsmith) would do, just asking in case anyone has any idea or has read anything I haven't. Not that I want to be a real crafter, but it's more or less in the background of the PC... plus, not a bad idea to have a chance of making your own ammo given the chance. ![]()
![]() Wait, 1500? I thought we had 1000 (as per level 2) and +200 to buy guns and ammo... Speaking of ammo, I can't find the weight of cartridges... Are we even using encumbrance rules? Am I the only idiot around to use them?
And then again, I asked this in the past, but... Being it so 'Guns Everywhere' rmoves the Gunsmith talent from the gunslinging classes (the one that lets you vraft/repair guns and ammo), how do we repair/craft guns and ammo now? I've taken points in Craft (Alchemy) and Craft (Gunsmith), is that okay? One rank suffices? The masses want to know! :P ![]()
