Let me start this by saying that I do not want to start a conversation that is arguing real world politics, and that I will not engage anyone who tries.
The whole story arc of Fire Starters revolves around a radical and apperantely racist lashunta group that tries to take over asanatown. The locals protest against them with quotes like "Not Our Collective" which sounds very close to the modern day use of "Not my President" when used against Donald Trump. The whole thing felt like it was some imagined future where some Trump-like figure takes over and wants to force the non lashuntas out of Asanatown. These constant parallels to real life politics is making me very reluctant to run this campaign because I dont seek to insert real life modern politics into our sessions with people who vary on the political spectrum, and would feel attacked.
Dont get me wrong, I love a good scenario revolving around radicals trying to take over, but this felt very unoriginal and too close to home.
I get that I might be the only person who cares about this, but it's something I felt like posting about. Also, if its confirmed that I'm wrong about all this, then I will accept that.
Please dont argue politics in the thread, this isnt the place for it :/
