Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"Though I do not enjoy frequenting such places, there is much that can be learned in the seedier places of Sasserine, if one knows the right questions to ask," Rast said casually. "I say we start there, and if nothing useful comes of it, then we can still pay Mr. Highwall a visit."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Having quickly spent the rest of his chanelling and spells to get people back on their feet, Rast helped those still injured during the escape from the hideout. Looking at the others, Rast said, "Yes, is everyone here. When I was assigned to assist, I did not expect this much chaos within the city itself."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Seeing Justified fall back next to him, Rast converts on of his grated spells into pure positive energy that he channels into Justified through his touch.

CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7 on Justified

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

I have a question regarding the Channel Positive Energy ability. Though it is a 30 foot radius burst, in the current situation, it won't affect everyone in combat, only those that have line of sight with Rast, right? I don't have Selective Channeling and I am seeing who would be covered with a heal based off of the current character placement.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Keeping close to the back of the group, but still close enough to hear the woman speak and see the emotions on her face, Rast kept his weapon and shield out but at ease. He had no desire to help the woman in her schemes, but if they could convince her that Vanthus wasn't worth the effort, she just might give him up. He was not one for diplomacy however, so he let the others do the talking.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Seeing what he could do to help his teammates pierce the armor of this abomination, Rast prays "May the currents of the sea guide the hands of the righteous and aid in piercing the hides of the damned." The result is a feeling of increased courage and precision by the team.

Then, Rast takes Justified's suggestion and backs out of the narrow confines of the hallway.

Standard action to cast bless, giving a +1 to attack rolls and moving back into the previous room.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Stepping into the center of the room, Rast holds his holy symbol in one hand as he prays, "Lade of the Waves, give me sight to see the magic as it flows from the beach, to the waves" His eyes glowing as he opens them, he scans the room for any magical auras.

Casting Detect Magic

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Finally stepping in to the room, Rast looked around the room and, spotting the remaining thief, simply keeps an eye on him, listening for the ring of truth or lies in his words.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Hearing the clatter of crossbows firing as well as the sound of fire roaring, Rast assumes that battle is joined. Propping his trident against the wall, Rast chants "May the blessing of the Sea Queen's grace ease the wounds of this injured man." Reaching out, he lays his free hand on Justified and healing energy seeps through his armor and to the burns that the scalding stew had given him.

Converting Air Bubble to CLW and casting on Justified

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Shrugging, Rast let the situation be. Until he better understood the situation, he wouldn't interject his views, but neither would he use up resources when it wasn't necessary. Looking at the area, he pointed down the hallway and said, "The door to the east hasn't been checked yet."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Shrugging his shoulders, Rast says, "Churtle does have a point. Though it is for good reason, we did barge in on him." Then to the kobold he continues with, "So long was he can agree to leave each other in peace, I will do you no harm." Seeing that Churtle was no in the mood to talk, Rast decides to leave his questions for another time. I sure hope this is not a fools errand, the Lady would be quite upset if she found out we raided a crook's hideout just to find no connection with here wayward brother," Rast thought to himself as the group moved on.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Smiling in humor at seeing Justified fume, Rast steps away from the wall and into view of the frightened kobold. "I would answer the questions if I was you Churtle. He is mighty riled right now and you don't want to see what he did to the thieves back there. Help us out however, and I will make sure that you stay safe." Touching the wooden medallion around his neck, he continues with, "On my faith, it will be so."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Taking his trident in hand once more, Rast simply gives a playful smile as he replies, "Well, it can't be as bad as having your flesh boil, and your bones turn to ash." Those in the know would understand that Rast had described what happens to undead that face the holy might of a clerics channeling. However, the vividness of the description was accompanied with a light tone for while Rast hadn't traveled with Graythan for long, he had learned to put up with the man's sometime dour mood with a bit of levity.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Though he had a few cuts, Rast was thinking to conserve resources until he heard the shout of alarm and the movement to people mobilizing from somewhere in the hideout. Asking all to gather, Rast grasped the holy medallion around his neck and whispered, "May the refreshing waves of the ocean relieve one's pain." As he finished, a slight sting, like salt water entering an open wound, is felt wherever people are injured before the feeling is replaced with a soothing, warm sensation as their wound mend.

Using two used of Channel Energy

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

With one of the rogue dropping to the ground, Rast presses the attack, driving his trident towards the remaining opponent.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Getting his shield up to block the wide blow, Rast jabs out once more, concentrating on the task at hand and not uttering a word.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Trident and shield already out, Rast moves into the room as he says "My the Sea Queen damn you for your disrespect of law." He follows up his words with a jab of his trident against the thug directly south of Graythan.

Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"While wee are here, let's see where the southern doors lead," Rast comments form his position close to the back.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

With a smile, Rast comments "While it is sad to need to take another's life...the only way to our goal is though here and I doubt any amount of peaceful persuasiveness would have convinced them to let us through." Trident and shield at the ready, Rast follows after Moira and Justified.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Trident and shield out, Rast follows after the group, a smile of enjoyment on his face at being out of the temple and with this odd group.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Not able to get into the fight from his location, Rast simple stands back and waits to cast healing for those that might need it.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Gripping his trident and shield, Rast falls in line behind Moira and Justified, ignoring the girls quirkiness as he mentally prepared himself for what troubles might lie within.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Sensing that there wasn't complete truth to the man's words, Rast ponders for a moment what he could do to reveal the man's lie. Stepping forward, the cleric takes a slightly different approach from his comrade, "You really shouldn't lie. You haven't the skill for it. Now I doubt you foolish enough to believe that this city doesn't have any criminals in it and even I believe that there are criminal elements above and below these streets. Therefore, I can only assume the untruth you speak is in your doubt as to a connection between criminals and your shop. As such, I suggest you stand aside. Otherwise, we will be forced to do as my comrade says and bring the guard in to help in searching for our patron's missing brother."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Rast simple stands int eh shop casually, but non the less, guaging the reaction of the shop keeper to the news that he might have an opening to a bandit den in his shop.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Though they hadn't spent much time working together, Rast had spent enough time with Graythan during the man's visits to the Azure Cathedral to be accustomed to the mans gruff nature. "Yes, that is what he are here for. To be certain, we were told that Miss Vanderboren want's here brother unharmed if possible, yes? Any information that might help us catch up, so to speak, would be welcome." The half-elf's speech didn't seem to fit the clip-eared, smelling of sea salt image before you. Those that spent anytime in the Azure District however, would know that clerics of Osprem take pride in their enunciation to help be better understood no matter who they might talk with.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

With a friendly smile, the half-eared half elf accepts Moira's advances without lifting a finger before saying, "That would be the smell of the sea on my form, something that any Ospremite wears with pride. I understand your trepidations, for we were told your description but you not ours. HoweverI can speak plainly the name of Lavinia Vanderboren, who asked the Cathedral for assistance. If that is not enough, I take my duty seriously and to prove that I be not a street thug..." Taking the medallion in hand, Rast steps to within thirty feet of Justified and states, "If you will permit." before intoning, "Osprem, Lady of the Waves, ensure the travels of your flock and those they travel with are done safely so that they may arrive at their destination." Though it was a blessing common for sending off ships, a sea breeze with the accompanying smell of salt fills the air around Rast, enveloping all in the area with a cooling sensation that eased any wounds felt. While those uninjured only felt the cooling breeze, Justified's pain noticeably lessons and his wound visibly mend.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Walking in casually with a shield on his back and trident leaning against his shoulder is a half-elf of average height dressed in an armored coat and a wooden medallion depicting Osprem's symbol displayed proudly on his chest.

"Yep. Fit the description they do. The name's Rast. That Lavinia has some sway to get the High Priest to send us from the Azure Cathedral to help out. Just let us know what you need and we will see what we can do."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Hey all! Great to get a chance to join you all on this adventure!

Hi Fanguar,

This is dathom, I play Pavo in your Age of Worms campaign. Savage Tide is another game that I have always wanted to play in, but never games never came up at good times for me to participate. My schedule is free enough now however, that I can definitely set time for this game.

Here is my submission for Rast Hilden, half-elf Cleric of Osprem for your consideration. Character information is located under this profile

Reposting Rast Hilden in case chibiamy does not make an appearance. I will have the final crunch details ironed out by the end of the day.

Here is my submission for Rast Hilden, human rogue. the stats and other crunch are still in the works, but all the fluff is pretty much done.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

I'm use to slow posting time. I will keep my eye on the boards and wait for you to post when you have the time. RL is more important. I'll be here when you have enough time to post.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Looking out from his position under one of the carts that dotted the muddy road, he looked on quizzically as Gyseannia continued to search the man, seemingly paying no heed to the metal that was flying in all directions. "Crazy girl," he mutters to no one in particular as he simply waited out the metal maelstorm.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

OOPS! posted as a toon for a different campaign. Sorry if there was some confusion.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"OW! What in Cayden's sober gait is going on!" Rast shouts as he is pelted by random balls of metal Taking a look around, he is surprised to see the metal springing from unlikely places and the metal leaping from his own armor and weapon occasionally jerks him one way and another. Uncertain of what to do, he shouts, "Find cover!" His thinking was it was better to minimize damage and avoid getting hit by the pieces of metal, if possible, so we will motion for Sanya, Gorag and his other companions to seek shelter.

Reflex:1d20 ⇒ 5

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Having noted the men as they were walking through the street, Rast leans a little to the right and whispers to Sanya, "We got ourselves a crowd followin' us. Keep yer wits about and lets see what they do."

Then, seeing Gys strike the beggar, Rast winces before moving away from Sanya and placing himself between the tiefling and her target. "Enough of that!" he exclaimed, letting Gys know with his body language that if she was to try that again, it would mean having to go through him first.

Perception:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Walking down the street with Sanya on his arm, Rast scans the area until he spots a man in one of the smaller stalls that run along the street. Stepping up to the stall, he says, "Beggin' yer pardon. Can ya point the way to Splithog Alley?" If the vendor is forthcoming, Rast will thank him and continue on in the direction the man pointed and ask people they come across the same question, hoping to get some sort of consensus as to how to get there.

Diplomacy:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10

Unfortunately, Rast doesn't know much beyond the River District, where the Publican House is located. :P

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"Eh, I wouldn;t worry too much about it. I don't plan ta get physical about it unless I have ta. So really it'll be up to this Beltias guy ta decide if he will give up the coin or not." Rast says in response to Sanya's words as they leave the Gold Goblin. "Now let's see about getting to Splithog Alley."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Coming downstairs, Rast greets those who were there with a grunt. Not much of a morning person, it took him having some breakfast, along with a half pint of ale, before he was ready to talk and the sour face was replaced with his usual cheer. "So we hit the town and see what it is people want out of Gold Goblin? Sounds good ta me Larur."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Smiling at Sanya's suggestion, Rast says, "No way I can be ignoring someone's request to honor the Drunken Hero. Let's head back to the meeting room, there might just be some of the ale we can finish off. It'd be a shame ta let it sit out all night."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

To Larur, Rast says, "Not at all my good dwarf. Glad we could help!" as the dwarf bids them good night.

"Hmm, a rather private bunch, eh?" Rast comments to Sanya after Darius and Gysseannia enter their rooms.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Stiopping at the door to his room, Rast is glad that the others have a desirte to converse before heading to bed. Rejoining the group, Rast says, "The dwarf has it right there. Though if we are indeed to work together, then we will need to get ta know each other a bit. How about a round of ale to finish of the night for those who are interested and we can talk for a bit. As a cleric to the Drunken Hero, I am versed in all manner of brewing techniques, that should help get some good brews andded ta the menu, once this place gets up and running again."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"Well, it certainly has been a fun filled evening, eh?!" Looking to the group gathered around, Rast will smile as he continues with, "But if what Saul is saying is true, then tomorrow should be even more interesting. So on that note, I'll say g'night to ya all." Ending with a casual wave good night, Rast retires to his room as well, seemingly unconcerned by today's events and tomorrow's upcoming tribulations.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

While not an pit fighting enthusiast, Rast doesn't have the same disgust for pit fighting. Some men can't pay their debts, though the fact that animals are pitted against each other in a contained environment is a little bit of a sad thing. Men should go into the wilderness to see how animals fight not into the luxury of a gambling hall.

When the group passes through the wine cellars, Rast takes a look as some of the selections before saying, "Hey Mr. Vanderkaskin. I'm not much of a vintner, but if ya want I can see about getting some quality wines imported through tha Publican House after this place gets up an running again."

Upon hearing that there is an underground section, Rast looks for the doors leading to the entry. Being a fan of exploration, Rast was always up for traveling into the unknown. "What's down there that would be any use fer ya? A natural chilling method fer the brew?"

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

"Well, like I said, as long as I am not asked to do anything disgraceful, I am game. And I even have a few ideas for getting some quality brews into this establishment." Finishing off his mug of ale, he will put it on the table and extend his hand to seal the deal.

Yeah, I have a little bit of trouble with my computer and couldn't connect to the internet. But that is all fixed now.

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Taking another sip of his ale, Rast replies, "But of course. Sanya's words have merit. As a cleric of the Drunken Hero, I can't be involved with anything that might besmirch the Publican House's good name. But why don't we hear what Vankaskerkin here has to say before we go thinking that he is gonna involve us in some illicit scheme."

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Oops, forgot to roll for Channel energy

1d6 ⇒ 6

Everyone who is injured around Rast will recover what is rolled in hit points

Male Half-elf Cleric/2

Realizing that he was indeed injured from the fight, Rast whispers a short prayer to Cayden as divine energy fills the area aroud him, healing his wounds and those of his fellow robber busters.

Reaching the sitting room, Rast takes an offered ale and smiles as he takes a drink. Then smiling even wider as he realizes that this ale is a bit better than what he was served during the event, he turns his attention to the business at hand. This was why he had come to the event after all, to see if he could find work. "I have to agree with many of my associates here, if it tough to find steady work here in Riddleport and wouldn't mind getting down to business and see if we can work out some sort of deal that could benefit both groups. After all, some of us are in search of work and you seem to have lost a good amount of staff after the robbery was foiled."
