Yup looks fine. Thanks!

"Well done everyone. Now for some well-deserved rest! Well, for most of us - but I think the old man has had enough sleep on this adventure."

The Concordance

While the others investigate what they found in the tent, Ranus dismounts to see to Fuzzy. He lifts the unconscious wizard and lays him across Apek's saddle for a sleeping dino ride, just so they don't forget to bring him along when they leave.

"Apek's used to carrying someone around anyway haha!"

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

If the agent flees Ranus will use the run action to get back engaged with him. Well Apek will run. Ranus will sit and hold on.

The Concordance

Ranus and Apek charge the leader if she is still up, otherwise they go for the green guard.

Charge Attack Boss, Bless: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 27
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 24
Extra Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

-2 AC from charge

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Yes he's a riding t-rex! Sorry if that wasn't clear haha.

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

"Charge Apek!" Ranus doesn't have to encourage his companion predator much. Apek obliges.

Charge Attack Red, Bless: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

-2 AC from charge

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Too far for a charge that would likely be unwise anyway, Ranus pulls Apek up short and takes total defense for +4 AC.

I've seen that elsewhere too, probably very related to how you usually can't see your new post until you've refreshed after a few moments.

Stealth (Ranus): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14
Stealth (Apek): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23

The Concordance

"Apek and I aren't so great at seeing in the dark. Plus his scent might help the sooner we get on their trail."

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus looks for signs of anyone approaching as well.

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20

The Concordance

Ranus takes his AoO and then he and Apek step up so they can attack.

Attack of Opportunity: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 4 - 1 = 5
Damage, cold iron slashing: 1d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 3 = 12

Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 - 1 = 9
Damage, cold iron slashing: 1d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 3 = 10

sigh....

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus swings his scimitar in a two handed power attack.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 1 = 7
Damage, cold iron slashing: 1d6 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 3 = 10

Hey now! Level 3 Lady Naysha has more than twice the HP of Level 1 squishy Ranus! :p

Ranus joins the others at Lady Naysha's suggestion. "I don't think we need a guard for a few minutes, so we have some time to deal with this animating altar all together." He and Apek prepare to help fight their next foe in the center room.

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Since Ranus knows we have about 5 minutes he'll head in to see how the progress is going and let the others know.

The Concordance

"Do we want a watch set outside?"

The Concordance

"Apek and I are a little out of our element, but give the word and we'll move in."

The Concordance

"Of course! Don't want to stress the little guy out any more than we already had to." Ranus tosses the dog one of the treats.

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus repeats his nonlethal attack if the guard is still up.

Attack, nonlethal, flank: 1d20 + 4 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 - 4 + 2 = 3
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus guides Apek to the other side of the remaining foe, and tries to hit him with the flat of his blade.

Attack, nonlethal, flank: 1d20 + 4 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 4 + 2 = 18
Nonlethal Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

The Concordance

Ranus will use his rapport with the dogs to command them with the secret command word "Stay!"

Handle Animal: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Filling out sheets it seems Ranus still needs to make his day job roll.

Profession (Herbalist): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

Woot he's rich!

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus gets those dog treats ready in case they prove helpful with the dogs he worked with.

GM I think we are still waiting for a map to set our positions, right? No rush, just making sure I wasn't missing something.

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Cool, in that case yes, the potions and stuff Ruslo is picking up are great.

Is the gold here like normal gold found in a scenario in that if we spend it, it counts as real purchases for on our chronicles?

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus nods at Naysha's suggestion to not worry about pulling punches. "Good to hear. I mean, I'm sure I can take it easy on them if I need to, but Apek here - once the heat of battle's on, I don't think he knows how to hold back."

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus is trained with handle animal, only has +4 but may still be best.

Can I buy a sap now if we want to do non-lethal damage? Alternatively, can we use lethal damage if our casters can stabilize them?

The Concordance

Ranus tries to talk to Ishyal. She looks like a rugged enough type that she may not be put off by his own wilder ways. After introduction and a little chat he tries to introduce her to Apek. "Those Thuvian dogs are impressive, but have you ever met one of these tyranosaurs? Apek is an incredible fighting companion and well behaved for something that in the wild would surely eat us."

Ranus tries to demonstrate Ranus's self-control waving a piece of meat in front of him and cpommanding him to hold still.
Handle Animal (Companion): 1d20 + 4 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 + 4 = 21

With at least a couple of people taking care of the workshop, Ranus tries to fit in at the barracks.

He'll work with the animals and soldiers riding drills.
Ride: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25

Ranus uses his knowledge of herbalism to make some remedies for minor ailments the animals might suffer from.
Profesion(Herbalism): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Through it all, he tries to keep a keen eye on what the soldiers are like, any secrets they spill, or learn of their behavioral tendencies that might help them later.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus reccomends the team have a quick discussion about how to split up to make sure there's coverage at both places.

"I don't know how much Apek and I can do at the workshop, so I'll probably head to the barracks."

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Ranus is surprisingly smart, but as a wild warrior doesn't know a lot of things. So he can only do these untrained to get the 10+ ones I think

Geography: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22
Local: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Ranus wastes a crit on a 10+ untrained knowledge check and finds out we are in a desert and other things they already told him in the briefing. Sigh...

"As he said, this is important to these cities. Thuvia is mostly desert, so they depend on this elixer. We cannot fail them."

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

Probably fixed via the magic voodoo of playing with Redelia!

The Concordance

Yup I'm good

The Concordance

"Hah! Well met both of you. Name's Ranus, and this is Apek. Looks like he's gonna give you a chance to prove a valuable companion. We look forward to working with you." The hulking barbarian-looking man takes a respectful bow.

The Concordance

Is actually Kirithiel

A wild warrior arrives, riding a small (well, medium-sized) T-Rex. He's oblivious to whether this is even an appropriate place to take his companion, the two usually being pretty inseparable.

He looks around and noticing the leshies, makes a quizzical look. "I've heard of talking plant-people, but never seen one before. Name's Ranus, this is Apek. Usually I'd try and calm people that he's not gonna eat them if they don't antagonize him, but in your case that seems unnecessary, haha!"
