"So daytime! I believe there were three or four of them, nothing your group shouldn't be able to handle," replies Lady Ziralia.

Dylph, You are able to follow the tracks without a problem, and after about an hour you come over a ridge and see a camp; four dun-colored tents surround a small campfire, clustered beneath gaunt palm trees along the eastern bank of a shallow oasis.

You did not want to wait until nightfall, and approach the camp and you can hear voices but do not see anybody yet.

You know that you would able to creep up quite close to the camp without being noticed but you have to be sneaky!

Everybody (except of Dylph) please make Stealth checks.

I've seen that elsewhere too, probably very related to how you usually can't see your new post until you've refreshed after a few moments.

If you post too close together (within a couple minutes even) it mixes up the order sometimes. But not always. It's annoying.

Lady Naysha sneaks closer. When she's quite close she disappears completely!

And when I get close I use my flicker ability to turn invisible for three rounds. That makes my stealth check way higher for those few rounds.

THE ASPIS HIDEOUT

Two larger pavilions loom over the rest of the camp: one dyed bright orange, the other emblazoned with the Aspis Consortium’s serpent insignia.

The guards are not yet aware of you, but you expect that to change soon.

All except of Lady Naysha and Ruslo can get quite near to the camp before ... suddenly you hear sirens and alarm!

Lady Naysha and Ruslo, you are 60 ft. away from the border of the map when you hear the alarm. All others are 30 ft. away from the border of the map.

You need to move 30 ft. to get to the border of the map. So the position you chose would heave meant that you used both your move actions. I moved you to the border with one move action ... but with your attack roll you hit the yellow guard although they have cover.

Dylph's arrow hits the flat footed guard behind the tent right in the abdomen and Dylph can see that the guard is clearly hurt.

Fuzzy's sword flies through the air but due to the cover of the tent Fuzzy cannot see the man properly and misses him.

The guards all move forward but still all shoot with their heavy crossbow but miraculously all bolts hit the ground.

With his grappling hook's rope in one hand, and the hook in the other hand, Ruslo hurries up to the fight, placing himself between the yellow agent and Fuzzzy. With a swing of his arm he drives the hook down into the man's shoulder.

Piercing Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

The first arrow hits the Aspis agent in the yellow clothing right in the chest and he drops immediately.

Also the second arrow hits the leg of the Aspis agent in the red clothing.

Ruslo sees the Aspis agent in yellow drop to the ground because of Dylph's attack and he walks forward to the red clothed Aspis agent hitting him really hard with his hook!

You all suddenly see Fuzzy’s eyes close ... he walks two steps ... and then falls to the ground unconscious.

Sorry Fuzzy, the secondary effect of the poison is 1d3 ⇒ 2 hours unconsciousness. :-(

Seedpod does 1 damage, and deafens (DC 11 on deafen)


Suna throws her weapon and Ivara is hit by the spear which pierces the left arm of the Aspis officer.

When the seedpod also hits her and you see confusion in her face you know that your strategy was fruitful!

The last guard standing sees the mayhem and retrieves an alchemist fire from his belt pouch.

He aims and throws the flask on the organge tent which immediately starts burning as if it was coated with highly flammable material.
