Hello all! I had a quick question for you. A player is currently working on building a ranger (beastmaster) with a velociraptor as the animal companion. He wants to give it improved natural attack as one of it's feats which is fine, then he also took the feat "Evolved Companion" which allows his companion to pick a 1-point evolution, he wants to take improved damage and wants all of these bonuses to apply to his talons. Now I don't see any issue with this personally, I love things like this because it's super fun. However I want to make sure it actually works with the rules.

I know the two abilities do not stack with themselves, but do they stack with one another? I can't find anything that says they don't - I just want to be sure.

That's what I was thinking but I thought I would ask others for their input and clarification, thank you!

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So I had a quick question, one of my players parents is under the Witches Grand Hex, eternal slumber which says " The effect can only be removed with a wish or similar magic, although slaying the witch ends the effect " Limited wish is able to "Undo the harmful effects of many spells, such as insanity." Would Limited Wish be able to undo a Grand Hex?

This is kind of an odd question as I think the answer is just gonna be "Gm Discretion" but I want another opinion on this. I love Cavalier's, and I love the idea of them, especially with the order. However, mounted combat isn't something I care about, and I haven't really found any archetypes that I like. Any suggestions? Would an order allow a fighter to join them? Paladin isn't an option, this character would rather barf than be lawful.

I have a player that took 2 levels of sorcerer and 1 level of brawler and they want to know how their unarmed strikes will add up.
They took the draconic bloodline and gain claws as an additional attack. However, because they took the level of brawler their unarmed attacks now deal 1D6 points of damage, would that also apply to the claws, because at the moment the claws deal 1D4 points of damage, but logically you would think they would deal either the same or more than the unarmed attacks now.

Awesome, thank you!

I am wondering how this would work, because I have a player that wants to delve into linguistics but he is a Gunslinger. I am fairly new to Dm'ing so I am not sure what I can do for them because it would fit his character and background really well. Is it possible to learn linguistics without it being your class skill? I know that you have to be trained in it, would I be able to make that part of his background or would that be giving him too much?
