I too have been unable to access my cart. This started last night for me, so maybe 12 hours ago or a little more at the time of me writing this post? I tried sending an error report email to the webmaster account, but I got the "message could not be sent" error reply as well.

That's disappointing. Seems like a bit of hole in the planning maybe? On the other hand, maybe that would have made the Arcane Assailant too good?
Ah well. Good to know that fusions can be used to open up weapons for other fusions that they wouldn't have normally had access to.
Thanks for clearing this up!

I'm wondering if elemental damage weapon fusions allow weapons to be used with various Soldier gear boosts that interact with specific elemental gear types.
Example: I have a Longsword. I put the frost fusion on said Longsword. No other modifications are being applied to this Longsword. Am I now able to use this Longsword in conjunction with the Soldier's Flash Freeze gear boost?

That rule has been errata'd out as of the sixth printing

What? Why? Wizards already have super good access to learning new spells, and the flavor of this rule made so much sense. Why did they make it so much easier for them?

As far as spell-like abilities go, I'd go with expeditious retreat, summon swarm, mirror image, and [i]dust of twilight[i] (from the APG) - probably 1/day each. Coupling these with an advance in their hit dice is probably a good idea.

I especially like that last one. You have a devious mind.

How about give them cave druid class levels?

Hey, that's not a bad idea. Thanks!

When I saw your post, i went and looked at the srd bestiary, and it looks like a third part went and made playable race rules for them. So maybe I could use those.

There's also the monster advancement section from the Bestiary that tells you how to add class levels to monsters.

You could also build your own Mite race with the help of the race builder from the Advanced Race Guide.

Right, that's what I was originally going to do, but I was looking for suggestions for extra spell-like abilities to give them.

EDIT: Whoops, looks like I misread your post. Sorry about that. What I meant to say is that my original plan was to just give them more hit dice and some spell-like abilities.

Mites are so awesome.

Must be some way to get them vermin animal companions?

I looked. I think you can get them without even having to spend a feat or anything like that. I'm thinking either giant centipedes or scorpions. Once the fighting moves aboveground, I'm thinking mites mounted on giant wasps.

Actually, speaking of flying mounts, I know that there's a feat called "Monstrous Mount". It lists the flying mounts as having their fly speed chopped in half when bearing a rider, regardless of weight, what's up with that? And would it apply here?

Hey, my players have wound up leveling a bit faster than I anticipated, and I'm not done with the mite story line I sent them on. I was thinking of making a few different advanced hit dice versions of mites. What I'm wondering is what sorts of new spell-like abilities people think might be appropriate for a civilization of advanced mites?
