I finally got mine in the mail.It took a long time but Owlcat delivered everything they promised.The game is good.They keep adding stuff and fixing bugs.I will support them again in the future.
I went to the event at Gen Con and it was Awesome.I will sign up again for this next year.
I have not received anything yet.The game is pretty good but I would like some compensation for not getting any physical rewards.

I dont like that at the end of Broken Moon the PCs leave the Lodge and travel a few hundred miles to Feldgru.I was thinking about melding some of the village with some of the buildings on the grounds of the Lodge.I like the feel of having the PCs return from the stairs to find the Lodge has been over run with the Werewolves and the Whispering Way.Has anyone else done anything like this?

I want to convert Carnival of Tears to d20 Modern and have my players roll up KISS as the Pcs and Rock!!!!! It could be a sequel to that crapy movie they made in the 70s Phantom of the Circus or whatever it was called...
what time do the pcs get to the carnival? and how long do the events take ? what time are they contacted by the animal messenger? Should i do rollplaying in real time and combat in slow mode ????

I think the monk should have a higher base attack at 1st lvl.
So far you have fixed everything that gave me problems in my Savage Tide game.The only 2 spells left that gave me a headache are protection from evil and freedom of movement.Would you please fix them as you did deathward , heroesfeast,and astral projection just to name a few.Oh by the way THANKS

Since Demogorgon is Huge 15/15/15 ft., unless you had it centered on the middle of him you would never have his body totally encompassed by the field unless you could extend the area. Not impossible (especially at that level) but difficult to keep the big man down. If you somehow got someone to grapple him so the area would stay on him it would work.
Oh yeah I was thinking about his Ex abilities and Big D not losing Dr.I forgot Su gets cancelled out by antimagic. Redfang used this tactic and I almost wiped the floor with the Pcs that day.

My group is pretty strong and may be level 22 by the time they face him. Does anyone know of anything that would suppress magic but not supernatural abilities? I'd like to add that wrinkle for the first round or two since I think the party wizard will dispel the effect.

I think anti magic shell will due that.read the Arrendagrost encounter.we finished up this jan. read the play by play the party wizard wrote up.in one of my threads.
I set rules for this before play starts.I also set time limits on missions.You have 2 days to complete the adventure, ect ,ect.I also adjust my combat to more of a real time combat system. It always bothered me that we played a 10 round combat it took 3 hours of play but only lasted 1 minute game time.So I go with real time in some encounters.Using a timer to beep at certain times helps keep track of buffs.It works sometimes ......The only way to fix this is set your own house rule !!!!!Thats the best I got>>>>>
I think it's cool they captured the mephit.It's been a year when I ran this but if it is a water mephit. maybe it could become friendly with the genasi. It's always nice to have little helper's guard the ship and tie up those loose ends. In my game I ran little solo side quests on the ship. One pc who was pirate(swashbuckler)went to get the rum in the cargo hold and the barrel was really a mimic . A very comical fight took place and some how it became their friend and rolled around the ship giving out rum rations when they were off ship duty.
We had at least 2 pc's play pirate types. Mad Roger Rackham a swashbuckler/ranger /leviation hunter.and Black Tom Kidd a hex blade /swashbuckler cursed with the black spot....they were great characters
Not sure when the date when we started the game but i think it was around the end of oct 06, we played almost 1x a week until jan 12th 08.it took around 1 to 4 sessions per adventure give or take.i tried to run at least 1 or more chapters per session ??? something like that???
Just wondering if anyone else has killed Big D and when.Just curious if my group was the first to finish the Path......We killed Big D on the 12th of January 2008...........
There seems to be a set of spells that must be taken to be able to avoid most of the monster special abilities.Freedom of movement,Death ward,protection from evil,and a few others.A Pc can become all but immune to most effects.Maybe having the spell caster lvl effect vs the creatures HD.Some times I just cant see pro vs evil a 2nd lvl spell stopping the Vampire lord who has lived for 1000 years from dominating someone.Or a 4th lvl spell FoM stopping the Kracken from grabbing you.Mostly I like these spells and rules but sometimes they seem to just nerf the encounter.
This power should be adjusted. 100% immuneity is a little much for the price.I think it should be 25% light armor,50% medium armor,75%heavy armor.I dont think padded armor should be allowed to have heavy fortification if you see my point of this thread.,but adding light fortification would be fine to padded armor.
Perhaps going on a case by case approach. Skeletons can be crited with a blugeoning weapon ie hitting it in that one vertabre and it falls apart..Zombies crited with slashing weapons. As for vampiers mabe crited with silver slashing,or wood hafted weapon....?????spear or arrow????ect ect

I made my own weakness chart for Big D .Using the one they gave me in the adventure I just modified it a bit. I may also have let Big D use his create any magic item feat or power he has listed.I may have let him use some potions to buff him before the fight. Nothing to crazy just PHB and the DMG. When I was reading the boxed text stuff ,I left the gate open only for visual effect,I wanted them to see his twin towers up close.No real reason other than that.The last session before the final fight, I asked my Pcs how much damage they could do to a demon. I also asked how high there total attack was vs a demon.ect ect hoping to not give away the fact I was guageing there power.In the end here is what I wanted ,1st round 18 ,19, 20 will hit Big D.2nd round 15 thru 20 will hit him.By the 3rd round 11 or higher.Something like that.My Pcs also had every splat book open to use in the path.I was trying to see what rules worked and were broken, which will help me run my next game much more fluid.I very much wanted a 10 round fight and I got it.And changing things in the adventures you run is all the joy of being a DM and sayin screw you guys I'm goin home..LOL
Well our beloved Dungeon Master has failed his last fortitude save and rolled a 1. In our game group we get 100 bonus xp anytime 69 comes up.LoL Gary you got the bonus...Now please sit at that big game table in the sky and play a game with Tony for me............miss you

I think Tides of Dread was a high point! I liked the victory point aspect of that adventure.It all ran smooth,save for a few part's I fudged up.I should have let my Pc's kill Khala the first time they fought in City of Broken Idols.He teleported away and the Pc's were a little frustrated after a four hour fight and he run's.In Wells of Darkness I felt like the Pc's freed Shami only to have her say go to Iggwilv and to tell them how Demogorgon has 2 personalities.They were like that's it ,why the hell didn't we just go to Iggwilv and skip taking a chace of getting our souls sucked out by Ahazu.But this also helped to give them the feeling that the Abyss and those who dwell there are untrustworthy.All in all I have no real complaint's. Everything that went wrong was mostly mistakes I made.This was my first 3.5 campainge that I ran all the way to 20+ lvls.Out of playing this game for 25 years I have only had 3 character's myself that have gotten that far.Next AP I get to play. Ready or not Sandpoint here comes Napoleon Casanova!!!!!!

Thinking ahead I'd like to give Demogorgon a larger reach. I have a PC with a 20' reach (an enlarged 1/2 orc with a spiked chain) that has a manuever from Bo9S that gives him an AoO when you move within his threatened area. I'd like Demogorgon to trip him, give him a taste of his own medicine.

Well this is it. My pc's are ready to fight Demogorgon in Wat Dagon over the Shadow Pearl.They will face a weakend Demon Prince ,but not fully weakend. They were unable to kill Arendagrost ,who fled back to Absym to hide after one of the Pc's who was under Malcanthet's influence at the time betrayed them (they of course do not know about this)and warned him ahead of time on how powerful the Pc's had become,unable to kill them himself he fled awaiting his mother's signal to capture the crown and make her proud. In my game they also were suppossed to betray Bagromar after he killed Teradarian during there battle at Camp Gromsfed.,and kill him too.Betray'ns all a part o' piracey,if ya don't know that then your not even close to becomeing a pirate,pron o' my loins my foot. your mother's a bloody liar that's what I liked about her ,no woman ever slept with me and lived.(Yellowbeard 1983)
In The Battle at Wat Dagon St. Kargoth killed Solaris a gated in solar . By charging through the front door of the temple on his nightmare.Hitting with a crit on a spirited charge. 250 pts damage from 1 hit.The Solar was brought back 2 life via wish spell a round later. Mad Roger Rackham killed just before Kargoth fell in battle.A full attack from St Kargoth's unholy sword and the Bolbilous sphere was all she wrote.Rackham brought back 2 life via revivifie.
Success!!!! The mini battle was perfect.We used 2 maps put together. hellspike and broken demon gate. The armies of Orcus and Celeste/Gynharwyf won the day .Just barely!!!!!
Well it's 2008 and my players will be fighting a miniature battle as the seige of Lemoriax 1000pts for the demons vs 3 , 200 pt armies for the eladrin and demonic armies gathered to battle demogorgon.time limit 90 minutes.25pt victory areas with the Pc 's haveing 100 bonus points for releaseing Obox Ob.After that they will attack Wat Dagon from ethier land or by the Sea Wyvern. They haven't told me the plan yet.I think we will end the Game by the end of this month.
Mad Roger Rackham killed by war apes in the adventure Prince of Demons in the tent of War Secretary General Gromsfed the Drowned...but revivified by Grace the combat medic the following round.
I didnt buff him hardly at all until after the 5th round of combat. I thought he would go out like a wuss,but I was wrong I played him very well that day. Unholy toughness would be a good feat for him.All he really needs is some HP.the dual actions of a thrall of demogorgon.
Maybe you could take some ideas from Smenk in Age of Worms. I remember he had some apes on chains at his estate in Diamond Lake.I totally forgot about the Kellani's. I wish my Pc's would have wanted to do this, sounds like a nice mini adventure.
As the DM for this game I must say I loved how my Pcs stopped the Balor from exploding.I can't wait for the first Greater Dispel magic.
In the spirit of the Obituaries. Has anyone had near deth experiances .Here are a few that has happend to my players. Skank Rat the beguiler turned to stone by basilisk near Tamoachan.Darious sent to another plane by Redfangs prismatic spray near lightining oak grove.August Simons turned to stone by Gorgant the two faced in feedgut camp . Or something like Trap the soul????or other strange near disasters for the Pc 's.

My Pcs made no real deals .They fought in each section. The only one they made a deal with was the Lich Orgosh. they tried to allie with the Angel be curse his sudden but enevitable betrail. I let them go back to the Sea Wyvern 1 time to rest and 1 time in the tower just outside the prison. They are all L G mostly. With one being a Paladin. I did not have any sections allie together aganst them. I played it out that there was a prison war going on and the other gangs thought the Pcs were just escaped prisoners. ( Hey weren't those guys awefully well armed?)???

There are no people on the ship. The ship is empty of treasure. It is the treasure being worth 10000gp.It is ready to sail all it needs is a crew.
