Love all of this! I want to play all four of those classes!

Can't wait to see what you do with starship combat. One of the many reasons I love Starfinder is the thematically natural way we can transition from big ship battles to mechs/land/air vehicles to ground combat to urban or underground. It just seems to work better than Pathfinder for some reason!!

If you don't want to spend the money to use this particular tool, then don't. Fine.

I for one am VERY HOPEFUL that this will be a better tool for my group than HLO has been. And yes, I will be HAPPY to pay for it all again, if that's what it takes GOING FORWARD with a modern character management system that also interfaces with Roll20 or Foundry or whatever virtual tabletop we are using.

All of these arguments were made with D&D Beyond and it has turned pretty well for everyone, including players who can easily create characters AND have that character sheet interact with the virtual table top.

We are using Abomination Vaults terrain set right now in our AV campaign, along with Dwarven Forge tiles. It's great!

Currently on my workbench are TWO sets of City of Absalom that I have combined and painted to create a my version of the Rusty Dragon Inn!! Every campaign starts in an INN, right?! Now I've always got one! Love to look! And I'm even doing my first wiring of LED's into this for torches!

Oh! I've also picked up a couple smaller terrain sets from Dungeons & Lasers to use with both of the Pathfinder sets.

I am going to run this at GenCon and would LOVE for anyone to share ideas and resources! I'm going to dig into this over the next two weeks and will post anything I create here!

PERFECT timing for us! We are about to finish Age of Ashes and made the decision last month to move from Roll20 to Foundry AND to go back to new 1st level characters with Beginner Box, Otari, and AV!!! Woot Woot!

Wondering how all this will connect with the Nexus?

When will they make the "Ginormous Forest" Flip-Mat?

Because book and adventure design and making a character building app and repository are two completely different things.

The App isn’t made by Paizo.

But from an "ecosystem" point of view, they shouldn't be. I agree with comments earlier that said this should have been part of the rollout of 2e two years ago. WOTC has had a similar problem. I want it all at launch! I'm just saying that at this point in the evolution of TTRPG's, we should be getting this from companies, especially larger ones...My players all want the game, VTT, and character builder at the same time.

I’m in. I’ve signed up for early access. I’ll wait to really jump in till 2022 but I will be there when it launches.

I want a VTT.

I want Starfinder, too!

Now my question: How is it possible that any game company can not have an electronic character builder released at the same moment that a new rule set is released? Manpower should not be an excuse. At this point in our world this should be a part of initial game design.

What if he attacks just ONE target?

Please help me understand this power in terms of actual game play:
The calikang makes up to six fist Strikes. Each Strike can be against a different target. These attacks count toward its multiple attack penalty, which doesn’t increase until after all the attacks are complete.

Does this mean it gets 6 attacks at their highest attack?
What does that last phrase mean?
Help us!

Bravo! We are mid-way through Age of Ashes and since it is NOT available for Roll20, having the maps available would at least help!!

I just picked this up at Free RPG day and want to run it soon for my group online. Anyone able to offer maps or suggestions on running it online, let us know! Looks like a great little delve! My players will dig playing as kobolds!!!

I want to be OK with closing off your booth and creating the line system. I want to be OK with standing in a line for 10 minutes, so I can stand in another line for 15 minutes, so I can get into your booth to buy stuff, only to stand in a pay line for 15 minutes. I imagine this has to do with managing the hordes of us in the booth and I'm sure it will cut down on theft and kept inventory around through Sunday, but...

...it just didn't FEEL good. I thought the energy and friendliness of your booth from the past 10 years was absolutely GONE this year. I ended up buying nothing from you when I was ready to spend $100 there. I ended up buying my PACG playmat directly from Ultra-pro because I could just walk up, ask for it, and pay for it.

I know this is OK for Fantasy Flight to do and it might be just the way things have to be, but I am still bummed to see this change...

Excellent idea! I have been waiting for this since the Beginner Box! And I hope you have utilized the same thinking behind the GRAPHIC DESIGN of the BB to make this "friendly" to player delving into the full core rules for the first time. I so appreciated what you did with the BB, especially as we try to introduce the game to younger players (who will support the hobby going forward!).

Agreed! What a deal! I can't wait to select my add-ons! Bring on the red dragon!

Nice!! My group is on its way to Brinewall Castle and I would LOVE to have a map like this for them!!! Well-done!

I have used Photoshop and InDesign in the past to blow up a map to the correct size and then printed it out at Kinko's as a single poster. I have also used the tiling function to do what you did. As you say, it takes some work. I wish someone would make it easier to do!

FallOfCamelot - GREAT help! Thanks!

To all - we are new to Pathfinder, but are chomping at the bit to do Jade Regent. We all love Asian-based adventures and this has some of that and also more traditional elements. Great!

However, we also wish we had already played Rise of the Runelords. I explained to the group that we could wait until the re-release in the spring but they don't want to wait.

So: while the first chapter of Jade Regent does a good job of explaining how to incorporate plot lines from Rise, what about going the other direction? What if we run Jade Regent first, then go on to Rise. Will the new bound version of Rise include suggestions about how to connect the two APs?

Can't stop thinking about how well the BB played tonight...I started them off in Sandpoint, meeting each other and introducing themselves. They LOVED the fluff on the backs of the character sheets! The adventure really does play as intended over the first three rooms: it taught us the basic rules of the game including combat, investigation, puzzles, and tactics.

They totally by-passed negotiations with the goblins and attacked. It was a tough battle and the party prevailed, but they missed some key information that would have helped. Then, much to my surprise, they decided to go up the cliff!! They were pretty beat up and then turned right into what should have been the climactic battle. It was too soon! They were 1 HP away from a TPK but the timing was perfect and they barely escaped. Valeros dragged the bodies of his comrades out just as he lost consciousness. When he awoke, they scrambled back to Sandpoint to rest and resupply before coming back to finish the job.

One of my more reticent players, who didn't care for 3.5, said: "It was everything I hoped it would be. When do we play again?"

YES!!!

It is well after midnight and we just finished Black Fang. It was a blast! Three played with two using the pregens and one creating his own Magus. We have decades of gaming experience among the group, most of it with D&D. Other than a demo at GenCon, this was our first official foray into Pathfinder. It was not only better than our memories of 3.5 but it was superior in many ways to 4E. As we sat back from the table and reflected on the Pathfinder system, what we appreciated was how much we accomplished tonight AND how improved 3.5 is under Pathfinder. At our monthly 4E game, we are lucky to get through 3 encounters. Tonight, we got through the entire Black Fang adventure. Awesome! The biggest change we saw in the rules were the additional ways clerics and wizards remain useful over several encounters. The full Pathfinder rules are very, very complex but the Beginner Box was a gentle jump into the pool!

Bottom line: They want more! I have the first episode of Jade Regent and that's what they want to pursue. Great news! Can't wait to play again!

As we are preparing to play the BB and Pathfinder FOR THE FIRST TIME, it would be awesome to have the Barbarian as a dowloadable pregen, especially the iconic one. In fact, it would be great to have all the iconics as download pregens at level 1. Please?!!

I understand it won't be formatted like the great pregens in the box, but something like it in 8.5 x 11 form would be the next best thing!!

Great news! I spent time learning about HeroLab at GenCon and am getting ready to jump in. I'm also preparing to GM the Beginner Box next week! This will be the first time our gaming group plays Pathfinder and I have been so impressed by the BB. Having a slimmed down HeroLab will be a great supplement to the box! (and a Mac version is great, too!)

Ugh! I am NOT a fan of adventures without the stat blocks right there! I buy adventures because I just don't have the time to write my own anymore. It is so cumbersome to flip between books and the adventure and it is very time consuming to do so much prep ahead of time. I haven't played 3.5 in a long time and this is my first experience with Pathfinder. I picked up the first Jade Regent adventure and just realized I need both the Bestiary and Bestiary 2 for most of the monsters. OK, OK. I get it. I just wish I had it all on the same page!

We have played several campaigns with just two players pretty successfully. In some cases, the player's each played two characters, which is fine at lower levels but becomes difficult at higher levels. On a recent campaign I was GM, we had two players but one of them played two characters. For a fourth, I played a stripped down healer/cleric as part of the party. This was a pretty easy character to run as GM and it really helped the party heal up when necessary. As we moved to a different GM, I decided to keep playing the cleric because I had become so fond of her!

I have been buying these since the beginning and have used them over and over again. I try to keep them unfolded between two pieces of foamboard and then clipped together with large, hinged paper clips. But I keep the Inn and ship ones folded and in my backpack since we tend to use those often. A few pieces of painter's tape keeps them flat when we play.

I have an INSANE collection of plastic and metal minis. When it comes to our gaming group, I am the "Miniature Guy". It works out because I DM so much but it is also a sick, sick obsession. Our group tends to paint our PCs in metal because the quality of the sculpt is superior to any mass produced plastic miniature. But for the much larger need of NPC and monster miniatures, I believe that pre-painted plastic minis are the best way to go, especially in large or huge minis. And as I have gotten older, I have had less time to paint. My favorite moment is when one of my buddies is serving as GM and says: "You see three four armed ape-like creatures with white fur" and I can yell: "Wait! I have those!!"

The pairing of Paizo and WizKids to produce this line is BRILLIANT!

I agree! She looks great and will add some variety to the cleric minis I currently own. Plus one of my friends has decided to play THAT cleric as we delve into Pathfinder for the first time!

I am THRILLED that you are putting out this product. I plan on using it to introduce my gaming group to Pathfinder...Then my kids!! Can't wait to get my hands on it!
