I get way more then $15 worth of entertainment out of this forum alone.

I would be fine with full loot if they adjusted the time and material cost of everything to reflect it. 2 days of crafting time to replace the "normal every day armor" is to long if it gets dropped every time you die.

That is literally exactly what I said, thank you.

I think he is talking about the three guys who ran at us over and over again on the road we where interdicting. They prob accused us of spawn camping them or something.

Maybe we will get lucky and CCP will buy GW.

Bludd has literally nothing to do with anything relevant happening in this game. Why do you keep bringing him up? There is maybe one golgothan still playing who played alpha, hit, it wans't me. Everyone involved with the choices to ally with bludd the first and second time is no longer with us.

The original agreement, which TSV alternates between changing the terms of and denying it applied to them, was that EoX would stop engaging in PvP in EBA land for a reciprocation of action from the EBA, or apparently just teo in nihimons mind. Base camps and escalations where never banned, in fact cheatle and I agreed that any of our members found in the others land was fair game. If TSV had killed the trespassers there would have been no issues. Durring the truce we continued to kill any EBA members we found up in our mountain. Of which there where quite a few.

TSV took a tower form AGC, we responded by taking towers from them and engaging characters around phaeros. TEO took all of our towers, we responded by removing the restriction on banditry in the area around teo. In fact I even sent PMs to teh leaders of keepers pass and Brigthhaven warning them that we would be killing people around phaeros and to warn their members.

This entire incident has proven that negotiation with the EBA is impossible. Any one city that is a member can just scrap any agreement the over all oganization makes. Unless we where expected to not take the fight TSV after they attacked us.

EoX is currently engaged in such an experiment. Since we lost all of our towers we have decided to tank our rep and murder everyone we see in Brighthaven alliance lands.

Not sure there are five members of Aragon to kill Decius.

I just want to be able to stab people my character is standing right next to. Is that to much to ask for?

Attaching alignment to political actions in game is something we really need to move away from as a community. I, and I imagine most other city leaders, will act in the best interest of their cities. Alignment be damned.

When training and character power was tied to settlements it killed the bandits. I myself wanted to lead a group of assassins that worked for anyone who wanted us. Now I lead the only large evil group in the game because in order to get training I have to be in a city. As long as bandits are definitively tied to a hard location they will get smushed. If they become big enough to defend themselves from large groups they aren't really bandits any more.

Andius is just a special case all around. I am not sad to see him leave.

Thanks again Decius for adding absolutely nothing to a conversation about game mechanics.

A raven lands on Theodum's shoulder, it carries a scroll of parchment in its talons. The bird drops the parchment and flys away. A ghostly voice emits from the paper. " What would you consider proof of the bounties fulfillment? You may speak your response and we will hear it." The parchment falls silent, the only mark on it is a blood red hand.

You are suppose to travel to other parts of the map or trade with players who live in other parts of the map in order to get every thing you need. No part of the map is suppose to be self sustaining.

You people do know that while savage is a valued player in Golgotha he in no way sets any sort of policy right? That responsibility is mine and mine alone.

Tig you are doing it wrong, stop using hard numbers and use nebulous terms that make us look better. I am glad that you left out that we fought them a few times even though we where outnumbered. That would have made us look silly.

I have no stake in this game, but have those in EBA that feel Golgotha is a net negative considered merely marching to their door and showing them the error of their ways by the point of their swords?

Result: More pvp between "non sheep". Less pvp against "Sheeple"

Your stake remains unchanged.

And the gauntlet was thrown quietly, so you might not have noticed. Golgotha will continue to lose one tower per day until/unless their PvP-thirsty players overcome their aversion to fighting and defend their towers during their short window.

I encourage others who believe that Golgotha's PvP players have written checks that their swords can't cash to arrange independent blows at Golgothan holdings to provide them all the consequence-free PvP they can handle, so that they will have no need, reason, or justification to spend hours each day looking for a target that they can handle.

Oh no, our towers. I take it that our deal with TSV is off then?

Thannon the downside for Bandits is that banditry is a terrible economic model. In the three or so hours I was down south last night I could have gained far more materials from PvE.

Goblin Squad Member

There are no bandits near keepers pass, none at all.

Well at least I wasn't surprised with the responses. This thread is not about rep regain being to low its about the best hexes in the game being just as safe as random parts of the map.

Goblin Squad Member

It's not about enough fighting. And it is not about just generating more PvP for me to go do.

These places are suppose to be deadly and have the best stuff. Right now there is zero added risk for way more reward. It puts the equation out of balance. To throw this phrase back at you guys who love to use it so much. There is zero meaningful choice to going in to these hexes. The best stuff at the same risk as any other hex? Sign me up.

Goblin Squad Member

So these two places are suppose to have the best loot and raw materials in the game. They are currently way to safe from the most dangerous things in the game, the players. Rep penalty for PvP in these hexes should be reduced or eliminated.

Lets see how this goes over.

Ok look if in a sand box game you are in an alliance with someone I am fighting, even if you only provide them gear, you mine as well be fighting me a well. You can't be non aggressive when you are providing a major belligerent with gear. Even if you aren't making them items they sill have access to your crafting buildings which shave days off of gear they make for themselves.

Any time a member of EBA makes an aggressive action wearing items made in your city you are being aggressive. You are a threat because everything in this game ties in to conflict. Anyone who wants to fight TEO or TSV or any member of EBA is fighting you even if they never actually hit you.

I am not making this post as some sort of declaration of war or an other such melodramatic BS it just bothers me that someone thinks they can be non aggressive when they feed the economy of the largest group in the game and then they go don't kill us we aren't attacking you.

Well, until someone gives me the name of a member that actually did this, or screen shots, or basically anything at all other than "a member of TEO attacked someone in a starter settlement," I am pretty much not going to do anything. This thread is just targeting TEO without any actual evidence. Yes, a new guy accidentally took a tower out in the middle of no where, no harm no foul, but calling a member out without any actual evidence is erroneous and debasing.

Or you guys could just keep complaining about pvp until GW nerfs it into none existence and we all go play crowfall.

Goblin Squad Member

1 person marked this as a favorite.

So do the devs really just not want us doing the harder escalations? With the healing nerf (and it is a nerf) and the changes to agro its impossible to tank and impossible to kite. So are we just not suppose to do harder mobs?

With the state of WoT as it is right now with the attackers gaining points for anyone in the tower no mater how many defenders are their it is impossible to defend a tower against any sort of determined attack.

A group of naked attackers (suffering no gear durability penalty) can slowly but surly take any tower unless the defenders out number then enough to kill them as they run at them.

Tonight an out numbered force of Golgothans took a tower we really had no business winning simply by grinding our faces against the defenders and sticking it out until we hit 1000 points. We kept fighting but we could have just run in circles healing ourselves till we died and won all the same.

Right now as a melee character you cant catch anyone who is just willing to run from you. If you give a bow man an ability that hits for 10 damage but lets him move at full speed he will use that to kill everyone he meets very slowly. Except other range people.

Goblin Squad Member

What i think the OP might be talking about is how if you que up an action that you do not have the stamina for and then you start moving your character will stop moving and use the ability as soon as it has the ability to do so. That is supper annoying and should go away as soon as possible.

So far, the only notes I have regarding mass PvP are related to respawn camping (which should be solved with the expected respawn system) or team identification; there's currently no easy way to tell hostiles from friendlies once you get above 1 group of friendlies.

That seems

Identify Friend from foe is a large barrier to larger pvp engagements but I'm sure it is getting worked on. Having some way to get teh attackers and defenders to not spawn in the same spot would also be amazing.

We are not really comfortable with sharing the email addresses of people from the Leaderboard with the public. Those people did not agree to have us distribute those addresses and it would be a violation of our Privacy Policy to do so.

What we may do is generate (if we can) a list of all the emails of people who participated and send a mass email to those people from us telling them that now would be a good time to get attached to the Settlements they supported during the promotion.

I'll make a note of that as something we can look into doing next week.

You giving out those emails would be a not so great thing, you guys sending out your own mass email would be amazing!
