![]() It's in the Discussion. I cast Protection from Evil on Aiko and it lasts four minutes, so thank you Byron for the quick search. initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20 Reacting quickly, Zaraleva lines up a shot on the axeman.

![]() Personally, I like Lyraesel. We can check a lot of boxes between the five of us and Winsome is still on the caravan if we need to identify things. If someone wants to take a feat the next time we level up or just buy a party item that gets us Kn: Arcana, that works too. ![]()

![]() Infernal Healing is not on the druid list and I am forbidden from using a spell with the evil descriptor. Also, Adrian, in the summary line above your picture, is your hp total correct? I'm hoping you didn't update it for fourth level. Either way, Byron and you are at full hp now. Karl posts on Mondays and Thursdays. Will we be ready to move on Longthews tomorrow? ![]()

![]() Kelda's eyes widen at Byron's offer. "You would offer to share your bed with me? I did not know you were so brazen. My father would not approve, but you seem brave and strong, if not smooth of tongue. I will consider your offer." There's a brief sparkle in her eye before she turns serious again. "The tavern there is the best place to start gathering the information you seek. Then perhaps the beggars or the watch. They see much."
Zaraleva Diplomacy: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19 at the bar
Lyraesel notices ravens following and watching the party. Adrian and Byron are able to count them and identify which ones they saw where. And the number grows... When Zaraleva asks one of the beggars about who might attack them, the man flinches and looks around furtively. "Heh! hmmm...You ask questions about them. THEY ask questions about YOU! Heh! ![]() "Damn you, bird-men. Damn you to a million epic tortures. You even killed the children..." Zaraleva, who will never have children of her own, needs a moment as well. A minute or two later, she points to one of the ninjas. "This one looks like you, Aiko," and she tries to laugh. Whether or not there is laughter, Zaraleva will search the room

![]() It did nothing due to SR or immunity to Magic Missile.
It cast a touch spell, then moved up to within 10' (tentacle reach) above Kelda to touch her. That's normal for a touch spell. (You probably knew that.) No one in the party had a reach weapon out at the time, so no one got an AoO. Go ahead and take your turn and then I'll post for Z and K. ![]()

![]() I was being a bit overdramatic. I was at 2hp when I asked Lyraesel to get the scroll. Sorry I totally forgot to update the status bar. You probably can't update your posts, but maybe Zaraleva started to fall to one knee, but defiantly resisted death's call. Half-delirious with pain, Zaraleva shoots a look at Aiko. ![]() Fellzir looks at the epic damage to Aurelius and wonders if he will blame the demons and devils for that as well. He moves to a covered spot within 5' of Aurelius and drops a 2nd level spell for CMW on him. Perhaps a little positive energy will brighten his day...

![]() Zaraleva Haggard: "Chosen of Sarenrae" Appearance:
Young and slender. Nimble, but for the heavy shield. Dark eyes and hair. The hair falls over her face often, disguising her glances. She is immature, but wise, a gifted cleric that has never seen the world or a battle. Contribution:
Caravan Fortune Teller, Healer, Ameiko's Sidekick. Presentation:
She paints her nails, then clenches her fists as if both seeking attention and dreading the questions. She favors dark colors, despite being of good alignment. She will always do the right thing, but she may complain about it later. She knows the effects of alcohol, so she avoids it for the most part. She will still spend some time in the tavern for the food and tales of adventure. Someday she will have such tales of her own. History:
Zaraleva was apparently the child of a hag and a human, or so the priestesses claim. That seems ridiculous though. Why would a hag take a human lover? Why would she then abandon the child at the temple of Sarenrae? Where is the hag now? Why was the call so minimal and elusive that Zaraleva didn't consider it genuine? Where are all the other so-called changelings? Maybe she is just an ugly human with bad fingernails?
As the story goes, the priestesses took in the child, but she ran off to join a troop of bards. She couldn't sing or dance, so Ameiko brought her back. Angrily, she tried to join the thieves guild, but she couldn't pick a lock with her hideous fingers, so Ameiko brought her back. She declared that she was a wizard or an alchemist, but the books were so boring and the cleric spells came so easily. So Ameiko brought her back. She decided to be a barbarian, but they were so...wild? So Ameiko brought her back. The priestesses told her that she was destined to be a cleric of Sarenrae. Zaraleva scoffed. They said she was chosen by the goddess herself. Zaraleva rolled her eyes. Then they brought out the scimitar and her rolled eyes widened. "What's that? she mumbled." Sarenrae's Scimitar gleamed in the morning sunlight as if magical. Zaraleva was sold. She never even got to try to be a Ranger/Druid/Shaman. The future:
Zaraleva is ready to be a fulltime, save-the-world high priestess of Sarenrae. She just has to get out of Sandpoint. Surely someone will need her skills for the next caravan. If not, stowing away isn't a crime...She's been chosen by Sarenrae and she chooses to go on the caravan. Chosen one indeed. Hook: Zaraleva will absolutely stow away on Ameiko's caravan if Ameiko doesn't choose her. (And Chesca does)
About Kaiyde Mort'hildek IXA spitting image of the Kaiydes before him, but much smaller in stature due to him being the family runt. He shares his namesake's penchant for self experimentation, though with mechanism over biology. This is best seen in his custom datajack, which like the claw of some great bird grips the back of his head, its massive cable dangling three feet behind. You wouldn't know unless you had seen it before, though, as his thick blond dreads are woven through and around it, just the very end poking out the edge. By Dwarven standards, he is wide, though not by imposing physical stature, but genetics. His clothing is fairly plain and reflective of his financial situation. He wears Second Skin, which is effectively an occupational requirement. It offers the necessary protection from vacuum that any salvage engineer needs while also remaining a relatively inexpensive and unencumbering source of armor. Over this, his well traveled sleeveless shirt and stationwear parachute pants held up by suspenders make up the next layer, each with its fair share of grease stains and scorch marks. The pants are tucked into cheap boots meant for travel, but they are outfitted with functional secondhand maglocks. In addition to the utility belt on his waist, bristling with an absurd quantity of engineering (and demolitions) equipment, he has a Wayfinders faction jacket tied, hanging almost as low to the floor as his hair. On his nose rests the bastard of welding goggles and pince-nez, affixed with a tiny lever to drop the polarized shades; on his left ear, an archaic personal speakerphone with an obsolete antenna and ancient microphone. From a loop on his left hip dangles a very obvious combat hammer among the tools. Much as his eldest ancestor to bear the name had an odd flying companion, so too does the current iteration. While the Kaiyde I was known for Pseudodragons, Kaiyde IX has a custom "Hedgedrake" drone refitted for salvage work that follows him everywhere. Originally a manned surveillance probe, it now houses an extremely complex AI written by the young prodigy himself in his studies. Freshly graduated from the Star Citadelship Ironstar's university, he was granted passage to join the Wayfinders explorer's guild on Absalom Station, part of the Starfinder Society, with the goal of aiding in his people's Second Quest for Sky, or perhaps recovering the homeworld of his ancestors, Golarion, from wherever it may be. His impoverished state comes from the vast amount of credits that Vast transport costs, enough so that long range communications to his younger brother and sister, training as Mystics aboard the Ironstar, is still impossible for his budget. Working as a freelance engineer was simply not lucrative enough in this place where such professions are abundant. However, after the recent screenings were lifted and recruitment accelerated, Kaiyde was finally able to join the Starfinder society. May his legacy be as great as the one and only Professor Kaiyde, formerly of the Lantern Lodge, Venture Captain Tavaana Took's favored seeker, commended by Venture Captain Bardak, son of Bardak, foremost in the field of transplant medicine, legendary Eater of Demons, the Hellprince's bane, Chronicler of Jormurdun and Thornkeep, the Runeslayer, and decorated Pathfinder. It’s a hell of a family legacy to live up to. |
