Greetings All!
Currently all information about things like upcoming releases, opinions and discussions are spread across a multitude of social media sites and forums. Therefore, I set up an official Discord Server for Frog God Games to make it easier to obtain said information. If you are not familiar with Discord it’s like TeamSpeak and Skype rolled up into one, and FREE!
Discord is an all-in-one voice and live text chat for gamers that is free, secure, and works for Windows, Mac, Android, IOS, and Linux. It’s built specifically for gamers in mind. I personally use it to host my two games I run each week, in conjunction with Roll20 for Grimmsgate and The Lost City of Barakus.
Zach has kindly given his permission to run the official FGG Discord channel. Goals with Discord are as follows:
1.) To combine all resources in one, easy to access place. Both through links as well as the Discord pin system.
2.) Provide separate channels for discussion of S&W, PF, and 5e.
3.) To get real-time chat with FGG players from around the world.
4.) Products, special offers, and kickstarters announced in one combined spot.
5.) Get the Frogs involvement for live chats and voice, as well as some of the content creators/reviewer folks.
6.) Get website, facebook, twitch, and twitter integration going synced with Discord.
I’ve already added in all the Free Products FGGs makes available to us as well as a few of Greg’s blog post for ease of reference and access.
So how do you get to Discord? Follow the directions down below and welcome to the community!
Step 1.) Go here Download
Step 2.) Click which is best for you Windows, Mac, Android, IOS, or Linux and download it.
Step 3.) Once it has finished downloading click the + button surrounded by a dotted circle on the left hand side
Step 4.) Click the Join a Server button and copy and paste this into it https://discord.gg/HKUZfUv
Step 5.) Say something :P
Note: If you don’t want Discord starting every time you start up your computer. Go down to your system tray (near your clock), and find the Discord icon in the currently running programs list and right click it. Uncheck “Run Discord when my computer starts up”.

Power creep has been going on since forever. And the answer to justify is oooo magic.
That's neither here nor there. This is unchained designed "to give" or "not to give" more options. And as Mr. Paizo Employee Mark Seifter Designer has been saying take what you want from unchained and make it your own. Evaluate what you think "power creep" is, and toss it out. That's the beauty of Pen and Paper. They are all guidelines and we the players and the DM/GM decide what we want or don't want in our games.
As for your PFS concerns dunno if that will hurt the meta/spirit of it or not or if it will even make an appearance at all in PFS.

So I just picked up the melee toolbox and here are my thoughts on it.
There are some more versatile options, good art woork, some new weapons and armor, a few new spells, and a pretty sweet diagram of weapons.
So I read through the book and all though I love getting more options big or small I just felt the book was hugely on the small side for me. There was nothing whiz bang about it imho.
And it made me feel some of the text in the book alluded, that martial classes are just there to let wizards kill things.
"Dedicated spellcasters and archers can appreciate the excitement of engaging an enemy and understand the virtues of a well-planned assault, but they often need someone else to force the foe into close combat to prevent such threats from reaching them." That's great if we playing a themed class of sit there and take damage class why everybody else kills it concept.
Also a lot of things in the book are based around the "teamwork" feats which imho is broken already and we usually disallow all together in our groups games. (More of a personal problem I know)
I was hoping for this book to be "the book" to bring martial classes maybe not on par with spell casters, but a bit more balanced. Cause past lvl 10 Skills and Combat Maneuvers don't mean a whole lot.
Sure there are certain builds to min/max damage or some crazy combo that's amazing for martial classes, but I don't want to go that route every time I play just to keep up. I just feel that martial classes need a boon of some kind.
The Unchained book is coming out next month and that may bring some stuff, but just seems like some other classes are getting the nerf bat and some more options that may or may not be impressive. Have to wait and see on that I could be totally off base.
What I am basically trying to say is can Martial Classes get a Companion or Handbook that makes them on par or close to with the Spell Casters?
I understand the mentality that casters should just get everything cause oooo magic. Just seems like a holdover from D&D 3rd edition.
Thank you for reading Ladies and Gentlemen.

Rancourous Ash Crickets
At the forefront of the Kabal you will find the RAC. Leading the fight against monsters, outlaws, kingdoms, boredom, and common sense in general.
The RAC will distinguish itself as the premier fighting force of the Kabal, covering all professions and combat styles. Coordinating with the other Kabal companies and their specialties providing any and all support needed for them to safely accomplish their goals, or augment their efforts with specialists for specific tasks or goals.
RAC will pursue perfection in all forms of warfare, providing the Kabal with a solid fighting core for all the other companies to draw upon. We will provide training, knowledge and guidance to all Kabal companies to increase their martial abilities.
When crime, conflict, and war call upon the Kabal and its allies the Rancourous Ash Crickets will be the first to answer, and the last to leave the field.
“Even when it seems quiet and you feel alone, you can always hear the crickets…”
Membership in the RAC is open to any class or race, with the exception of those without martial skills. Sponsorship is required by a current member of the RAC or any Kabal company leader. Those who are sponsored will be brought into the RAC at the lowest rank for their chosen combat style and profession.
Promotion out of the lowest tier of ranks is required to remain a member of the RAC. Those who fail to gain promotion will be moved to a secondary company and may be sponsored again at a later time.
Members of the RAC will be promoted and demoted as needed due to their skills and the needs of the company.
Application to the RAC can be done through the recruitment forms, once you have secured a sponsor from a current member.

Gameplay: As of right now the two things to do in game are craft and slay the 5-8 mob types over and over again. Crafting isn’t intuitive at all. Had to pull up several guides to get any kind of grasp on it. Combat feels very clunky and not smooth at all. Collision I thought would be a bigger part of the game. Tried testing collision out with a wizard blasting a group of mobs, and me the warrior stepping in and attempting to whirlwind to little to no avail. Completely ignored me most of the time, and trying to get the melee attack to go off was an act of the gods cause the mobs just seem to bum rush the initial attacker. I noticed a lot of blasters attempting to kite mobs when they were right in their face bashing on them. I’m curious to know if the miss chance of the mobs goes up by doing this or not cause it seemed rather pointless. And trying to attack the moving target with a melee class was very painful with the mobs constantly moving trying to strike the person kiting. The biggest positive for this category is the game world feels big. I like the wide openness feel of the game. As been discussed by numerous people already most of the feats don’t have their icons yet. And we need Feat descriptions in asap. This seems to be the biggest desire outside of PvP content. Another great thing I loved was little to no questing. There was a little tutorial in the beginning that wasn’t too terribly bad. It wasn’t obvious to spot though with the traditional flashing lights or other annoying quest icons over people’s heads. Let’s keep it that way. Reminded me of original EQ where you had to know the slash commands to talk to the npc properly. Gives a bit more of an immersion feel than the hey retard click the dude with the thingabobby over his head that’s glowing.
Visuals: Combat animations are a very rough, the ones that are there are very entertaining though. This issue has been addressed by the developers so I won’t harp on it too much. As far as character model selections go I and a bud made a joke. You want to be the red ponytail or the black ponytail dude. Another person we were playing with that night made the comment my character is ugly and I look like a woman prison inmate. She is all in to vanity and how cute her character looks, so I wouldn't pay her comments no mind. Options are very lacking at the moment, but I am hopeful, that these will expand over time. Terrain graphics looked pretty much the same wherever I went as far as color schemes go. Yes you have mountains and flat lands, but a little bit more variety is left to be desired. Game feels brightly colored and a happy place, but take one step out of town and you have a plethora of the 5-8 mob types to hack, slash, and blast through. Just seems a bit off to me cause there is no graphic transition as far as color schemes went just trees or less trees.
Polish: It’s alpha I don’t expect everything to be fully polished, but going to Early Enrollment (Beta, sorry Ryan I know you don’t like that dirty word, but it is beta) in about 3 weeks has me worried cause there is a lot of polish to be done before then based on the current game state.
Social: This is where the game shines. This is probably one of the most helpful and desirable communities I have seen in a very long time. The main chat is used the most unless you are not in a party. It’s a little hard to follow sometimes cause it moves by so fast at times. What I would love to see get added at some point is an army of emotes to select from just from an RP perspective. Another boon I think might be engaging would to add customizable chat colors on the clients end to color code things as they see fit from tells, settlement chat, general chat just to break up the same chat color feel. Resizing the chat windows or adding customizable tabs would be another benefit from a social aspect.
Innovation: Most of the innovation is still in the pipeline to be delivered to us. I am very hopeful cause everything looks fantastic on paper. The classless system is one thing I have wanted to see in a current MMO for a long long time. My best example I could use would be the glory days of Star Wars Galaxies before all the bad joo joo occurred with it.
Longevity: If Goblinworks can deliver the Innovation that they have promised us on paper in a timely fashion the game will have a very healthy life cycle. Players can’t wait too long for things though I will use Darkfall as an example here. I am not worried though the Developers engage us on a weekly basis either on the forums or a blog post and even in the game itself. And we are seeing updates get pushed out left and right. Big gold star for that my friends.
Value: Alpha is free so you can’t really argue with that. The Early Enrollment price is a bit steep for the current game state which will keep a large populous at a bay till a lot more polish and game mechanics get implemented. This has been addressed already and that they want to keep the player base small for the time being, and I am ok with investing toward the future.
I’m looking forward to what the game becomes over time. As I am very hopeful that this game could be one I invest my time and gold pouch for many years to come.

Well I think there are many variables to this, but all in all I agree with everyone here that from what I have seen the PvE does look a bit to easy from the Alpha Streams. Some things to consider though...
1.) It's Alpha
2.) The Entire Bestiaries aren't added yet
3.) The lvl creatures opposed to the lvl PCs seem to be vastly in the PC's favor as far as power scale is concerned.
Somethings that might help
1.) Maybe have it to where when a player enters a Hex it triggers the mobs for that hex to spawn on equal par with what lvl the player may be. And each additional person that enters it spawns additional or same type mobs based on that new person. Have like an hr cool down timer on it so players can't exploit and spawn a biggelion mobs into one single hex.
2.) Cycling of mob types in the Hex
3.) Maybe a randomize mob spawn that could be something that a whole group of players need to take down like a high lvl boss fight randomly spawning that any passerby's would probably die if they tried to solo
4.) Number crunching on the mobs in general (don't ask me what they should be I hate math)
5.) Faster Spawning mobs battle of attrition for the PCs (probably a bad idea, but an idea none the less

There’s been many snipes at the community over there at MMORPG. I can understand where that is coming from. The Pathfinder Table Top community is very close knit niche and respectively so. This is however going to be an MMO game. Do I think will get a bejillian WoW fanboy l33t speak introduced into the game. No, I do not, but they will be in there in some small part. The core of the community is right here and now.
Keep this in mind though. How many of you have invited a new person to come play a table top for the first time? Or a sandbox game? Or a MMO? Then watch them evolve over a period of time as they grow in their gaming career while playing with you. The community is so great here and so involved that will get the quality of people you are concerned about not getting if we throw up some positive press in the game direction by sharing our excitement, and getting new people to come on board.
This is going to be a game built for a large audience. I don’t think we should draw a line in the sand and put up a sign that says “Keep Out”. I think we should say hey come on over and lets play a game you’ve never played before cause it’s unique. What makes it unique is not the fact that it is a sandbox or is built on the backbone of a successful IP like Pathfinder, but you guys.
Word of Mouth on our end can only do so much. We need a platform where we can get us to the numbers that are talked about in the blog posts. Kickstarter was that platform for a period of time, but that has since come and gone. That’s the whole purpose of this post is to get people to notice the game, not just spam it in their face.
They’re the one’s going to decide if they want to play or not. We are just showing that it is an option amongst the other Cookie Cutter theme park games coming out. But how are they going to know it is available to them if they don’t see it?
Also keep in mind that a louder disrespectful person in a large room gets more notice versus the 20 other socially norm people. And wouldn’t it be cool to show the gaming community at large that instead of a company throwing mucho money toward marketing their game (not saying Goblinworks won’t and I am sure they have their own marketing campaign all planned out) if we the community spread it to the masses. And I know we have been doing so indecently with our twitters, our facebooks, talking to people 1:1 etc… But we as a community went the extra mile which isn’t the norm by any stretch of the imagination, by helping it grow by going to the sites like MMORPG and made some noise by the fans to attract new fans to grow with us along the way.

I want to finish Landrush with a bang. I have an awesome plan to do so, but I can’t do it alone and I need you, yes YOU to help.
During my search to find anything and everything about Pathfinder Online I found on a site that I visit very often MMORPG.com that our beloved Pathfinder Online is ranked 30th most hyped in development game. I think we can do better. I want to see us in the top 7.
Why is this important?
Cause then our game will display on that websites homepage. Right now we have a score of 8.06 Hype. We need a score of at least 8.13 Hype (or better) to make the top 7 to be on MMORPG home page.
Only 136 people have voted! How many people joined the Kickstarter or after Kickstarter? I know we can do better! Further more only 47 people have commented about the game. We can so do better guys and gals.
So my request from me to you and the Pathfinder Community at large is to both “Vote” for our game at MMORPG and comment. It’ll take you 10 mins tops to do. And don’t say you’ll do it later cause you and I both know you’ll get distracted and forget. Take the 10 mins and just get it done and over with. And lets bring some new blood to our community!
Steps
Step 1.) Go here MMORPG
Step 2.) Register an account at the top (or sign in if you already have an account)
Step 3.) Go here Hype after you sign in and move the hype scale to 10 or whatever you think is fair, but you know it’s a 10.
Step 4.) Make a comment.
Step 5.) Tell your friends, settlement/company to do the same.
Step 6.) Give yourself a pat on the back for supporting Pathfinder Online.

ED: You see a well groomed garden. In the middle, on a small hill, you
see a gazebo.
ERIC: A gazebo? What color is it?
ED: (Pause) It's white, Eric.
ERIC: How far away is it?
ED: About 50 yards.
ERIC: How big is it?
ED: (Pause) It's about 30 ft across, 15 ft high, with a pointed top.
ERIC: I use my sword to detect good on it.
ED: It's not good, Eric. It's a gazebo.
ERIC: (Pause) I call out to it.
ED: It won't answer. It's a gazebo.
ERIC: (Pause) I sheathe my sword and draw my bow and arrows. Does it
respond in any way?
ED: No, Eric, it's a gazebo!
ERIC: I shoot it with my bow (roll to hit). What happened?
ED: There is now a gazebo with an arrow sticking out of it.
ERIC: (Pause) Wasn't it wounded?
ED: OF COURSE NOT, ERIC! IT'S A GAZEBO!
ERIC: (Whimper) But that was a +3 arrow!
ED: It's a gazebo, Eric, a GAZEBO! If you really want to try to
destroy it, you could try to chop it with an axe, I suppose, or you
could try to burn it, but I don't know why anybody would even try.
It's a @#$%!! gazebo!
ERIC: (Long pause. He has no axe or fire spells.) I run away.
ED: (Thoroughly frustrated) It's too late. You've awakened the gazebo.
It catches you and eats you.
ERIC: (Reaching for his dice) Maybe I'll roll up a fire-using mage so
I can avenge my Paladin.
At this point, the increasingly amused fellow party members restored a modicum of order by explaining to Eric what a gazebo is. Thus ends the tale of Eric and the Dread Gazebo. It could have been worse; at least the gazebo wasn't on a grassy gnoll.

I think it's part of the excitement. Yes week 10 will bring surprises, but in this type of game you are always adapting. This is the first major adaption test, and is not a punishment.
Let the Chips Fall where they may and let Pathfinder Online begin with a bang.
I think a better idea for a "lightening round" would to have a 34th settlement open up so that the other guilds that couldn't win one of the 33 settlements can fight over it and have their own mini land rush with each other. Have it run till the day before beta.
This has been a public service announcement.
