I'm a first-time GM, but I've been playing Pathfinder & 3.5 for years. I want to run a lighthearted but cool of Pathfinder. I intend to run the game on Saturdays 1pm-6ish. I plan to run it at the Excelsior Comics & Games store.
My campaign guidelines:
1. Golarion campaign setting, concentrating on Inner Sea region.
2. All first party Pathfinder classes, races, feats, Archetypes (except Synthesist & Primalist archetypes) allowed. Third party and 3.5 material allowed on case by case basis
3. Expect Dungeon crawls, investigative, political intrigue, role-playing, and globe-trotting
4. No explicitly acted-out sexual or torture encounters
5. No CE/Violent against innocents for the lulz Player Characters.
6. You and your character Must be willing to work with the party
7. I recommend http://charactersheets.minotaur.cc/build/pathfinder for character sheets (but it's not mandatory)
8. I have cardboard pawns and a dry-erase tactical map. Players can pick a pawn to represent their character or use their own mini.
9. I don't have the physical books but I have 2 tablets with all the pdfs and can send the files to people if needed
10. I prefer rolling stats to point buy or using an array.
11. For stats, we will use 4d6, reroll 1s or 2s, drop lowest. Do this 7x, drop the lowest total.
12. No custom races or classes
13. I will use a variety of monsters, but probably a plurality of aberrations and constructs.
14. Start at 0 xp.
15. Player can either accept average gold for class per book or roll it in front of me (and forced to keep result of roll)
16. Two traits at creation. The feat “Additional traits” gives 2 more. No more than 1 per category (racial, faith, magic, etc)
17. House rule: any race can start out with any bonus language except secret languages (like humans), 1 additional language per point of Intelligence modifier
18. Everyone must be able to speak Common.
19. I have plenty of dice and no superstitions about other people using them.
20. Primarily high fantasy with some sci-fi
21. Starting in Absalom
22. No PVP without both players’ consent
23. I prefer to keep a comparatively light tone. More Monty Python, less Game of Thrones
24. Electronics allowed at the table while playing as long as they're not a distraction or used to metagame/cheat on IC knowledge.
Any questions? Let me know.
I look forward to hearing from 1d4 interested people.
